[ The broadcast at first starts off as only audio, little cheeps and squeaks and the odd breathy belch in between confused replies of a young male voice with a cultured, vaguely English accent. ]

Ah? No. No no, I'm sorry. I'm afraid I don't really understand what you're asking...

Chirrup! Squee. No no. Peep. Peep-peep-peep.

Oh! Oh this? Push this? Oh, can't the other one tell me? Plea~se, little one?

SCREECH!

*sigh* Haa, yes of course, my dear. Silly me.

[ The video finally turns on, though its upside down and pointing at a chest covered by heavy brocade fabric in rick purple. ]

Like this, then?

Chirp!

[ A small gout of flame puffs in front of the screen which tumbles end over end and clattered to the ground beside a pair of purple suede boots, accompanied by a shrill scream that turns into nervous laughter, then flapping and a hiccuping, sobbing sound. ]

Oh! Nooo, no no no little one. No, I'm sorry, truly I am! You just startled me! Its not every day one encounters an...an infant dragon?

*sniffle* Chirrup?

Yes yes, lets sort this out, shall we? Come here, little one. Oh, be a dear and don't blow anymore fire in my face, won't you?

Peep peep.

[ Another sigh and the D-T rattles softly as its picked up by a purple-gloved hand, rising rapidly - this time right side up - to encompass a handsome you face with a warm smile. Thick brown hair falls in waves around his face and a large gold crown rests on his head. ]

Speak into this then? [ He asks, looking to the side briefly before the flapping comes closer and the screen fills with a tiny dragon. ]

Peep peep!

Brilliant!

Ahem.

Ah, salutations, to anyone out there. My name is Rowan.

Cheep?

Oh, ahhh...this...? [ He reaches up and flicks the crown lightly. ] Its technically King Rowan. That's new, actually. I'm more familiar with Prince though. King sounds a bit stuffy, yeah?

Mm...peep peep.

Oh? That's funny coming from you. No need to be rude.

[ Its not easy to tell if he knows what the diminutive digimon is saying, or merely humoring it. His smile remains warm enough to suggest the latter. ]

This obviously isn't Albion and I wouldn't have the slightest clue where to start looking for it. Ah, the technology is far beyond my understanding and I don't think the shock has quite set in, but I'm used to being "poofed" off to the odd place now and again.

Ah, I was only trying to understand this...device. Its all a bit much, really. Fortunately my little friend knows enough to show me how to get it working. The other one - Culumon? Runs off a bit at the mouth and wasn't precisely dedicated to the instruction. Nothing against the fellow. I blame myself - I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to new gizmos.

[ He clears his throat, cheeks coloring with an apologetic look. ]

Then again I'm being a bit wordy myself. I was wondering if anyone from Albion was here, though I imagine its not terribly likely.

At any rate, ah, I am honored to be here and I do hope we can conquer this darkness...whatever it is.

[ He purses his lips, looking left and right awkwardly before looking at the Petitmon now perched on his shoulder. ]

Is...is that all then? Am I supposed to push something else?

[ He tilts his head in a small bow, only to yank back and fumble briefly as he tries to juggle the D-T and keep his crown on his head. ]

Blasted thing...Ugh. Forget it...

[ He mumbles, pulling it off and tucking it under one arm. ]

My apologies. Prince Rowan, at your service ma'am. Or, well I would be, except that I have no idea how to be at the service of someone in a moving picture.

Purreep.

No Albion, you say? Hm. I suppose it was a bit of a stretch hoping I might find my brother here. As a silver lining, however, no more Reaver! that's quite miraculous, honestly.

[At a few points, Terra tries to pick up something to say, but he keeps on talking. In the end, he's left with a slow, low whistle.] Woooow, you sure can talk.

Terra. And no Madam. Not one for titles.

Talking. Yes. Sorry about that. Its actually been a while since I've been privileged enough to speak at length about anything. I apologize - I hadn't realized it was because other people wanted less out of me.

[ He chuckles, coughs softly and rubs the back of his head in obvious embarrassment. ]

I will endeavor to be seen and not heard more often. And of course, Lady Terra. Er...Terra. Again, my sincere apologies.

[She raises her eyebrows in amusement.] I'm not telling you to shut up. It's just a comment. Lighten up a bit.

Oh? Oh! Beg' pardon. Sorry, haha. Its hard to tell with people sometimes. I've been told to "shut up" more than once, so I do try and keep an ear out for anyone frustrated by a bit of extra babble.

I may be a bit shocked and thrown, too.

[ He looked around, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. ]

My heart is running a little quickly, though I am trying to contain my nerves. Its difficult to explain my position here. While I'm used to being suddenly displaced from my normal time and location, I never imaged I'd end up anywhere quite so alien.

I'd like to think I'm handling the shock well.

If it makes ya feel any better, you're definitely handlin' this better than some. [LIKE HERSELF WHEN SHE GOT HERE OOPS.] Sounds like it's a bit of a culture shock, too. No tech where you're from, huh?

Tech? Tech--technology! Oh. Well, I mean we've advances, but nothing like this! We've only just begun industrializing. Steam-powered cable-cars - only that didn't go so well - ah, automated pluckers? Um...ah! Steamboats! We no longer rely solely on the wind to travel over seas!

[ He seemed quite proud of that, in fact, though his face faltered after a moment. ]

Although we did sink a lot faster...

Haha, I suppose I'm a bit of a country mouse to some people, still. Raised in the city my whole life, crowned king, and still come to find there are unimaginable wonders out there. I wish Theresa had told me about this. Mercy.

[She listens, she nods, she snorts.] Yeah, you really are old-fashioned. Gonna have to get used to it fast. They at least have running water where you're from?

Old-fashioned, she calls me! And here I am, not even that old. Already antique at my age? What's the world coming to?

[ He chuckles, nodding briefly. ]

Yes we do indeed have running water, although it still has its kinks and our sewers could do with an overhaul. I recently passed an order for sewage reclamation facilities to improve the situation. I do hope it proves fruitful. I'd hate to think I'd made a wasteful decision...

Ugh, royal obligations. They're a pain! [She remains bright, or she sounds it at the very least.]

Don't know a lot about history or...sewage treatment, but I dunno, sounds like you did an okay thing. Won't have to worry about that here, at least.

So it seems. There are a lot of things that don't appear necessary concerns here, and yet other things seem significantly more terrible.

Hm.

Out of curiosity, this great disaster on the horizon - how does anyone know for certain it isn't already too late? I mean if there's know particular date set as a reference how does anyone know this isn't all an elaborate ruse to distract the people that could feasibly do something about the entire thing?

I don't mean to sound fatalistic but I've been in that sort of situation before.

Uh, disaster...? You mean all the world slamming into each other, merging?

I think if it all happened, we'd see more of it. I dunno, more people would be here. You sure got a cynical mind, though, jeez.

Oh! No no no, I apologize. I didn't mean for it to seem that way at all, haha. No. Certainly not.

[ He sighs, rolling his eyes to the side in thought. ]

What I mean to say is, what if the damage already done cannot be undone, and we're here more to mitigate damages than really reverse anything? And the creatures causing trouble are more a means of distracting us from our labor than anything else.

That is to say, what sort of security do we have that all of this can in fact be fixed? I will fight for any noble cause, particularly in effort to protect my country. I simply want to truth of it all. The last time I let myself be led around by the nose, I nearly lost everything, you see.

I guess...we don't. But protecting this place is something, at least. And it's more than doing nothing while we try and figure out how to fix things.

Right now takin' care of the Dark Fields -- you heard about those? There's a pamphlet -- might be something, and it might get us closer to some answers.

'Least that's how I see it, don't really care if anyone else thinks the same.

I did hear about this, yes ma'am. [ He replied, adjusting the Petitmon as it slept and he walked, the shadow of the apartment building falling over him. ]

I appreciate your dedication to the task. Its heartening, and I agree on the importance of these matters. I absolutely swear you and those here had my absolute commitment to combating the darkness that ails this world and seeks to infect our own.

[She raises a finger.] No ma'am.

I believe so, yes? The large building blotting out the sun, as it were? Now that I'm here I think I might orient myself with the area before going in. Hm.

I would like to think I have better directional skills than that, but you're quite right. [ He chuckled, shaking his head. ]

I believe I can orient myself from the building. Its quite tall so if I do manage to get lost, I can always find my way back to this spot. Thank you for the concern, however.

[Eyebrow twitch. She just kind of glares and then...groan-sighs. FINE.....] Yeah, sure. Pleasure here too, I'guess.

[But she does cast a tiny smile, or something like one.]
