[The feed cuts on, showing one scruffy, somewhat scraggly, and slightly worn out Kratt. He's been working on the city every day and tonight, decided to sit around on the network afterwards.]

Hey Hiccup if you're around, maybe after all this is over with we can finally sit down and look at that notebook you've got? So far I've noticed a lot of Digimon are similar to all the creatures I studied back home, and I'd really like to see if that trend continues.

[He rubs his chin in thought- looks like a couple fingers have bandaids around them -and then looks back at the camera with a little gesture.]

And anyone who's had a partner digivolve, I'd like to know what their normal stage is and what they digivolved to? I'm just trying to figure out a couple things for myself regarding the process. [Let's face it, for a biologist like him the whole thing was a little nonsensical, but cool, and he wanted to see if he could figure it out.]

Thanks ahead of time, to anyone who replies! [And he reaches forward to cut the initial feed- wait it looks like that wrist is wrapped up in some kinda brace-?

And yeah, there definitely is plenty of time to see him fighting. All you need to do is wait until the next attack or whatever. Chika and Biyomon get involved with them a lot. ]

So has your digimon digivolved yet?

One of them has, yeah. [He nodded and smiled brightly.] Sylvia, my Lopmon, has digivolved into Moosemon- a large blue and white deer. I don't have a crest so she hasn't gone farther than that, though.

That's a little weird. You'd think that Moosemon would be a moose instead.

[ Oh right there was a more important part of that sentence. ]

But don't worry about not having a crest yet. It looks like it takes a bit of time for one to show up for people, so you should get one eventually.

Actually, moose are deer! They're the largest members of the deer family, standing at over six feet tall; a quality Moosemon definitely possesses.

I certainly hope I get a crest eventually, if nothing else just to find out which one it would be.

Wait, really? I thought that Moose were different from deer. I mean, they look a lot different!

At first glance they do, but if you look harder, you can find a lot of similarities that tell you they're related. They have the same sort of body structure, hooves, diet, and just like other deer you may be thinking of, moose periodically lose their antlers every year and grow a whole new pair.

Now, there are some other creatures it may be hard to believe are related. But as for moose and deer, all you have to do is look hard enough, and it's easy to see!

Oh! I see. Kinda.

But it's really cool that you know all of this stuff!

Thanks! I make it my living to know all that I can about animals, so when I get a chance to practice it again, I take it! A big part of that is sharing the information too, helping people care about the creatures of the world. If I can do that, then maybe I can help save them.

Wow. That's even neater! I guess you must be pretty happy with all the different types of Digimon here to learn about then!

You know it! Digimon are so different, for as many reasons as they're the same. So far I've found this whole place very fascinating, and I want to learn as much as I can.

Well, umm... I'm not sure if it's different here than in my world or not, but if you want to learn everything you might be busy for a really long time. There's like, hundreds of different Digimon species and a bunch of them can digivolve into a bunch of different things and sometimes the same things as the other ones and it's kinda really confusing.

I don't mind. After all, there's an estimated 8.7 million species of plants and animals back home. But the way I look at it, getting to learn about them is the exciting part, no matter how many I finally meet in the end.

[ Chika giggles a bit... before she stops as she realizes just how many that number actually was. ]

... Wow. That's a lot. Maybe the number of Digimon isn't going to be a problem after all.

Maybe, yeah! And personally, I'm excited at just the thought of it.

Learning about Digimon is going to be a whole new, awesome experience.

[ She giggles. ]

I'm glad. They're really all amazing, and it's nice to see someone happy to see Digimon here.

[ Most new chosen or people who start seeing Digimon for the first time a usually all "Ah! Monster!" and panicky, after all. ]

We-ell, I admit I was pretty shocked at first.

[He looked aside toward his off-camera Digimon, and smiled.]

But I'm glad I met them, and learned they exist. It's been an amazing experience so far.

I think that everyone's really shocked at first though. I mean, I sure was.

[ For about two seconds, but still... ]

... Well, okay, Masaru-niichan wasn't. But it is surprising meeting a Digimon for the first time. But being happy to see all the type of digimon here, and just... well, going along with everything are kinda different.

[He nodded, after a moment.]

Yeah, you've got a point there. I learned it's as if no time passes at home while we're here though, which helps with the "going along with everything" part. For me anyway.

[ She nods too. ]

Yeah. That's... kinda weird to think about. But at the same time that's pretty good too. I mean, it means I don't need to worry about everything back home going really badly without me and Biyomon there.
