[there is some static before a loud thumping is heard over the speakers. if you listen closely, you can here someone faintly asking Is this thing on?, followed by some muffled conversation. after that, the picture is adjusted and a blonde teenager's bust is shown]

Oh, thanks, sugarcube... Uh, hey there, everypony. [she waves at the screen, looking quite awkward, as though she weren't comfortable in her own skin] Th'name's Applejack. Ah got here a few days ago, but Ah've been... uh. Dealin' with some... stuff.

But now that Ah finally figured out how t'work this thing, Ah thought Ah'd try talkin' t'some of th'folks around here, 'cause Ah'm still not really understandin' everything. Monodramon's been a big help. [here, the device spins around, revealing the Digimon that is actually holding the D-Terminal. he waves too before focusing the screen on AJ again] An' Ah've read the information here over an' over. It's still a lot t'take in, yanno?

Ah guess what Ah wanna say is Ah'd be glad t'help y'all out, especially if savin' this world means Ah'll be able to help Equestria. Just lemme know what Ah should do first.

Just a month. Got nothing on some of the people here.

[Still, his smile fades for a moment.]

You're lucky you missed all the fireworks back in the city. Place went down in smoke, and apparently it was all on the tail end of another attack.

[her smile fades as well]

Ah guess this world is in a whole mess of trouble. What happened to the, uh... city?

Some temperamental Digimon named Jupitermon crashed the party, made this whole big deal about enacting "justice" because us Chosen went and "sacrificed" other Digimon. Then he started flinging lightning bolts around, some other Digimon intervened, and the two wound up doing even more damage just by brawling with each other.

[He groans, bringing a hand to his face.]

And before that, I guess some Digimon named Titamon launched this huge attack with an army of weaker Digimon. Wasn't here for that, so I can't say much more, other than the fact that he's part of the reason why most of us have two Digimon.

[she taps her lips, recalling what Choco also said about why some people had two Digimon partners]

Was anypony hurt? You all escaped, right?

Most of us, anyway. Can't speak for everyone, but my partner bailed me out of there before I got in over my head.

[He smiles sheepishly with that remark. What goes unsaid is how he charged right at those Mega level Digimon.]

Well, the people Ah talked to seem okay, Ah think. And Ah'm glad of that. It just makes me a little nervous about what's comin' up for me. Ah mean... I've helped save Equestria before, with my friends, but this is different, in a lot of ways.

Is it bigger in scale? I've never even heard of this Equestria, so I'm kind of clueless. Still, I'd say this place trumps just about everything I dealt with at Castle Oblivion.

[Well, at least in terms of scale. After all, C.O. just contained a few Nobodies, his original, Sora and his friends, and Naminé. This place has giant digital gods blowing up cities.]

Hm. Equestria's perdy big. [rubs her chin] But it does sound like this world is a lot bigger. Ah wonder how far away HospiTown is from the city that got destroyed. S'pose it don't really matter...

Well, it took me more than a week to get here, and we flew over tons of islands on the way.

[He shakes his head.]

Honestly, most of those islands had a lot more going for them. Wish we could've been hauled up in San Francisco instead.

Why? Is San Francisco special, or somethin'?

Well, there's a whole lot more room to roam, for one. The place is packed with huge skyscrapers, not to mention the biggest bridge I've ever seen. You could probably fit at least ten HospiTowns inside of that one island.
