Being pulled from our home worlds and brought to a completely different environment, to meet creatures we never knew existed and save their home from a threat none of us know about.

That's quite a lot to expect of Children. [She's seen herself that not everyone fits the "14 and below" description, but such as the collective term for them stands.]

Yeah...Fluttershy and her friends have saved their world thanks to their friendship...and her other friend's magical abilities, but I think her powers were somehow enhanced by their friendship?



I don't really get it either.

S'true, I guess. And I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised about the whole "friendship is magic" thing, given the pony thing.

Yeah. Back in her home world, apparently everyone's a pony. They got different kinds, but they're still all ponies.



Yeah! Fluttershy's a Pegasus, which means she's got wings! She even got to keep her wings when she came here.

[There is just the briefest flicker of something across Blake's face, a quick constriction of her eyes.]

[Then with a blink it's gone, and she's just as impassive as before. At least, at first glance.]

I had no idea there was something other than humans here.

Oh yeah...! There's a bunch of interesting people here. There are people who use to be animals, people who used to be robots, people who used to do magic...animals who used to do magic...

When they got here, they turned mostly human. But some of them, like Fluttershy, got to keep some features from their original look. For Fluttershy, and a few of her friends, they got to keep their wings.

[That seemed to confuse Choco a little.] Pretty good, I guess? I mean, they're just like everyone else, so it depends on who they're talking to? Like, I know a lot of people like Fluttershy. Dunno how her other friends are doing, but I'm pretty sure people like 'em too...

I'm a student at Beacon Academy. I study to become a Huntress so I can fight the monsters that inhabit our world.

Yes. Humans and animals have souls; the monsters of Grimm do not.

They are. Even people with proper training can be killed by them, if they're not careful.
