[There's another recent arrival on-screen, this time a girl accompanied by a Gabumon.]

Being pulled from our home worlds and brought to a completely different environment, to meet creatures we never knew existed and save their home from a threat none of us know about.

That's quite a lot to expect of Children. [She's seen herself that not everyone fits the "14 and below" description, but such as the collective term for them stands.]

Well, that's why they give you guys Digimon partners!

[Her eyes flicked to her silent partner, then back at the screen. Right, the nature of Digimon was something she'd been curious about.]

I suppose it's something about us that dictates the sort of Digimon we get.

[Was that a statement? A question? Who knows.]

Yeah, something like that. You guys are partners, so you bring out the best in each other.

[Gabumon smiles, but makes no comment.]

And what happens after all this is over?

Well...you guys go back to your homeworlds. We stay here, but hopefully everyone'll be a little better than before you guys came.

Some of us may not be suitable for saving multiple worlds, Digimon or no. [The air at the end of her statement carries the rest of it: "What then?"]

...Why not?

Because not everyone is capable of being a fighter. Sometimes they're too nice, or too wrapped up in themselves, or overall don't have the capacity for it.

Being a savior of the world is a nice tale, but not everyone can do that.

Well...not everyone can fight, sure. But fighting isn't the only way to save the world.

My partner, Fluttershy...she's not really a fighter. She doesn't like fighting things, and she gets kinda scared when there are battles going on.

But it's because she doesn't like hurting things that makes it so important that she's here. Because that means she's really good at making sure others don't stay hurt...She's done a lot of good taking care of people - the people who fight - when they're injured. So then they can go and fight some more, and protect those who can't.

So it's not always about fighting. It's just about finding what you can do to help.

For some of us kidnapped.

Not really all that high of an expectation.

'Kidnapped' might work for everyone. [She knows she had no choice in the matter.]

[Gabumon retracts a little, but keeps staring at the screen.]

A partner's a partner.

Hey Ruby. I thought I'd heard you were around.

Yep! I've been here for... around a week now, I think. Oh! Yang is here too... although I'm pretty sure she isn't in HospiTown yet. Have you seen her around?

I saw her post, but I don't think she's here yet.

[A note of amusement.] I'm surprised we haven't run into each other, as small as this place is.

I know! Well then again I haven't really left the housing area... except to look around for Yang.

[Because having to go out alone without knowing anyone was not something that she wanted to do. Nuh-uh, no way.]

What about your partner?

Oh, right! She's around here somewhere...

Look behind you.

[Does so] Oh! There she is! [She walks over to the bed, where Falcomon was witting on the headboard of the bed] Falcomon, this is Blake, one of my teammates. Blake this is Falcomon, my Digimon.

Nice to meet you. Ruby's talked a lot about you and those other two girls.

Nice to meet you too. How much has she said?

[Hi there, we're talking about partners right? Because Blake's Gabumon is now leaning around from behind her, peering at the screen.]

[darkened]

[And here we have a dude who's juuust a hair past that 14 and below category, being fifteen. After a long, arduous trip, he's seated on the edge of his bed in Hospitown with a glaring Gabumon seated to his left and a Kotemon to his right.]

Ha, we weren't just pulled from our worlds. We were dropped here just before the city blew up in our faces. A week of solid travel's not the kind of thing I'd put kids through, especially in a place like this.

Rrrrgh! That's right. Only the brave, tough, and cool Chosen should--

[He's just gonna put a hand over Gabumon's mouth.]

Oh, and some of us were dead before. I guess that's one perk to being here.

Dead? So in addition to turning animals human, being brought here also brings back the dead?

[darkened]

I'm living proof of that.

[Less than a second later, he slaps his hand over his face.]

...And I swear, that pun wasn't intended. That's just not my style.
