006 ☁ Video ☁ Dated to Arrival

You know I think six or seven months in one place is the longest I have stayed anywhere besides home. Almost forgot what it was like, traveling to new places and running around them. It was kinda nice.

Not that I don't think this town is neat. Just feels like it took a long time getting here.

[ as usual, Ryudamon and Renamon are close by. and Ryudamon isn't going to let that one go. ]

That would be because you felt like you had to explore everything you could get your hands on.

[ Vixie gives Ryu a little nudge and the dragon makes a face. ]

Well I didn't mind it. I wanted to stay at Tree-Top Isle longer. You wouldn't let us go down.

For good reason! Someone has to be the responsible one here.

[ Sora and Vixie both break out laughing while the other digimon grumbles and tries to contain his grin. after it dies down, Sora gets his arms around his partners' shoulders, looking at the camera. ]

Anyway. We're here now. So I feel like I should catch up with the people that got here ahead of us. We should do something!

[Well, considering that Wheeljack would be running around like an idiot looking for a waterfall...

[And surprisingly to people who think he's an old geezer (not naming any names SORA) he gets there within a decent amount of time, You and Him following behind as their Rookie forms.

Shouldn't be too hard. He stands out a lot from buildings.]

[ and oooooh WJ is going to get iiiiiiiiit.

unfortunately Ryu is not coming along on this expedition. he has been flying a lot recently in both Champion and Ultimate forms. the poor dragon is tired and a wee bit crankier than usual. so that just leaves Vixie and Sora.

but Sora isn't the one in sight. it's just Vixie, raising a paw and giving a friendly wave.

Sora, on the other hand, might have circled around. coming from the back.

and you know. for a kid that's as short as he is... he can jump. so if WJ thought he could escape a leaping hug from the teen from behind. well... probably thinking wrong here. because that's a thing that's just happened. ]

Took you long enough!

[Just seeing Vixie was already strange enough. She was never very far from Sora, at least not in all the times that he'd known them.

He completely didn't see it coming, feeling those arms wrap around his midchest, supporting the weight of someone like that. His first instinct was to toss them off, to fight it.

But this didn't feel threatening.

And when he saw those gloved hands, he knew instantly who it was.

Sora.

Hugs were still new territory for Wheeljack. He never saw himself as the touchy feely type, still getting used to it with Arcee. But he could almost feel the smile against his back.

And it got one from him too.]

Looks like we got ourselves a bogey.

[ yeah, there's smiling. maybe even snickering too. Vixie shares Sora's mirth, drawing closer.

this really can't be helped. Sora is a horribly affectionate type of person. very touchy, really. it probably drives Riku mad as a lot of it has been thrown his way. hugs. slaps on the back. an arm over the shoulder. chances are that anyone that Sora feels close enough to will be victim to these things.

so it's only really inevitable that this would happen. but he's also a brat. just a little. ]

So what're you gonna do about it?

[It wasn't exactly unwelcome, he'd admit. Bulkhead had prepared him for this kind of stuff in the past. And maybe he likes it more than he'd care to admit. But an arm reaches behind, pulling the kid into a playful headlock to ruffle that hair, voice probably the most relaxed it's been in awhile.]

[There's an actual laugh, though, as he holds him there, letting go after a few seconds.]

Didn't even get lost.

[ the action has Sora breaking out into laughter. there's only a half hearted attempt at escape too. this isn't new territory for him, only a new instigator. but, all things considering, it's pretty okay.

and as soon as he's released, his hands are in his hair, as if trying to straighten it out. because WJ totally messed it up. ]

Guess there's starting to look like there's hope for you after all.

[He can only watch in amusement as Sora tries to fix that mess.]

Yeah? Not as ancient as ya thought, huh.

That and other things.

[ like a smile. And laughing even if it was only a little bit. Now putting his hands behind his head, Sora hums. ]

So what's your other form?

[It's followed by an arm fold by the Autobot, taking a glance over where they were supposed to be exploring as of now.

That is, until that comment.]

Other form?

Bumblebee said you guys have another form you can shift into.

Did he now.

[Well, someone's going to get payback in the future. For secret telling.]

What kind of form are we talkin' about?

[Wheeljack you're so playing dumb.]

It's okay if you don't want to say.

[ and he means that. But as he turns and starts to walk in the direction of Star City, he's not going to let a brat comment be left unsaid. ]

Probably for the best. Gonna get a ride one day from the fastest guy anyway. Can't beat that.

[ it's fun to tease WJ. ]

Hey, I got no problem tellin'.

[It doesn't take long for him to fall into place next to him, hands in his pockets.]

For a bot that doesn't talk, that Scout's got a big mouth.

[But the way he says it...it's almost amusingly.]

Dunno what you'd call it, really. Sportscar.

I don't really know cars, so that's okay.

[ for once, it feels nice to walk. to stretch the legs instead of just sit on Ryu's back and look down at everything. ]

And pfft. I don't think you have room to talk, Wheeljack. You started telling me things right off the bat too. [ grin grin. ] Maybe I just have that effect.

[That answer gets another smirk out of him, gently nudging Sora with his side. It's not like the kid was wrong--he did have that effect on the Wrecker. He just seemed like the type you could talk to.

Who knows why.]

Trust me, I got pedal to back up the metal. I can outrun any Con ya put me against. Not that I run.

[ Sora's grin is easy, even with the nudge. to him, he's just happy to be around friends. good friends. and, for once, the slow pace of walking doesn't bother him. ]

You don't look like the kinda guy that runs from anything, you know.

[ and Sora doesn't either. not really. ]

Heh, I'm notorious for it back home. Not sure if the other guys liked that trait in me or not.

[It's said wistfully.]

Wasn't the favourite back home, if ya can believe it.

What kind of things did you do?

I...did things my way. Didn't really follow the Boss directly.

[A hand reaches up to rub his neck.]

Hard to work under those conditions sometimes. Bee, Arcee...they're used to it.

Why am I not surprised that you didn't want to play nice and by the rules...
