#01- Arrival [Video, Action in Hospitown]

[The D-Terminal is showing a new face today, and it doesn't look happy. This little Impmon has been lost for a while now.]

Okay, I think I got this thing working. So what's the deal here? One minute we saved the Digital World, the next minute it's all gone to heck and there's a new big bad Digimon destroying everything? What's the deal here? I can't find my friends! I can't even find my partners!

How long was I out for, anyway!?

[He inhales. Sighs. You're gonna be nice, Impmon. You're gonna be friendly and polite. Even though you're mad. You're gonna be nice.

When he talks again, his voice sounds significantly more calm, though still distinctly unhappy.]

Okay, sorry. Sometimes I lose my head. Uh, Guilmon, Renamon, Ai, Mako... heck, I'd even settle for seeing the cream-puff again at this point. If you're out there, let me know.

[His voice immediately takes a hard edge to it again.]

Not that I'm afraid or anything! I just don't want any of you tiny-brained numbskulls gettin' into trouble while I'm not around to watch your back!

[The message ends. Impmon will be exploring Hospitown trying to find a familiar face, but he won't object to meeting a new friend who's willing to help him out!

Well. He may object. But he probably won't actually mind.]

[It's good that people can find him that way. Then if they didn't want him around they could just not bother finding him.

[Bee gives him a small wave in greeting]

"I take it you're a good friend of Guilmon, if you're so concerned about him."

"Good friends? Puh-lease. I just know that big goofy pineapple-head will get himself into trouble if somebody more sensible- that'd be me- doesn't keep an eye on him."

[And also this place is really freaking him out and a familiar face would be nice right now, but that's not relevant. Not relevant at all.]

[Bee doesn't see any harm in indulging in the other's ego.] "They're lucky to have you."

[Coronamon, on the other hand, just rests his chin on his hand.] Now just how did you two even end up together. You're as different as night and day.

[Coronamon rests his hand on his chin thoughtfully.]

[To be honest, Coronamon just can't help himself. He's enjoying the back and forth, poking and prodding to see what kind of reactions he can get.]

I bet you could find a way. Impmon can be pretty devious, and you look like the sneaky type.

And saving your world? Impressive. Should I ask you for tips on saving this one?

"Well, to be honest, I wasn't exactly the brains of the whole operation. A bunch of humans did that. I was just there to fight the D-Reaper and save-"

"Hey! Whaddya mean devious? Are you implying that I'm less than trustworthy or something?"

[Bumblebee rolls his eyes, resting his chin on his hand in the background at he bickering. It's harmless enough though, so he just sits back and watches.]

You're the one that said it, not me.

Is being devious really a bad thing?

[And for good measure he just gives Impmon a wide, feline smile.]

"It is when you're accusing me of it! I'm not devious! I'm as innocent and pure as the day my digi-egg hatched!"

[... He wasn't. He really wasn't. For a moment, he wanted to take it back, but that would just open up a whole conversation he really didn't want to have.]

"You're the devious one here! You're tryin' to rile me up! Well it's not gonna work! Do you hear me? You're not gonna get under MY skin!"

"It was something called the D-Reaper. A big overgrown program that was trying to delete both the real world and the digital world. And me and Pineapple-head kicked it's butt back down to basic data!"

[... Mostly Guilmon. Actually, mostly Terriermon. But that's beside the point.]

What's the point of destroying of both worlds? You'd wipe yourself in the process.

[He still remembers the way it spoke in Juri's voice, rambling on about destiny and despair. He got shivers down his back just thinking about it.]

"Anyway, I'm pretty sure we don't have to worry about it anymore."

Good thing. We have enough to fix on our plate already.

We don't need creepy reaper things mucking things up when we've already got crazy Digimon fightin' like kids and smashing our cities flat.

[After a moment, he adds,]

[He leans into the camera comically, feline eyes narrowed like they're hiding a secret.]

Like, 'if I told you, I'd hafta to kill ya' kind of top secret.

[Actually, Vanguard's got no clue.]

"What? Hey, are you messin' with me again? Well, I'd just like to see you try and kill me, pee-wee!"

[... He says, despite his own tiny size.]

"I got a right to know as much as anybody does!"

[... Not that he's easy to rile up. Nope. Not Impmon.]

[If he were a bird, his feathers would be sufficiently ruffled. His otherwise high and might expression becomes an indignant pout.]

Have you looked in the mirror lately?

"Yeah, well, I can get a lot taller than this! Jerk!"

[... Every time he starts to like Vanguard, Vanguard goes and makes him mad. And then he does something that makes Impmon like him again, only to make him mad again.

This was becoming a little confusing.]

"So come on, spill the beans! What do we do? Where do we start? C'mon, tell me!"
