[when the screen turns on it shakes a little, like the D-Terminal was jostled. The video shows Jinora walking over to and sitting on the edge of her bed, a pad of paper and a pencil in hand. Her partner sits on the floor next to her.  Neither appears to realize that the video feed is on.]

-about "Gawa"?  She was on the council at the Western Air Temple; Dad says she was noted for always being able to find joy in things.

Sounds like a possibility.

Okay, we'll keep that one on the list. [she circles the name] Hariti?  She was very devoted to caring for Air Nomad children.

[Leormon shakes her head vigorously]

[giggling] Strike that one, then. [she strikes a line through the name]

(As Takato's face pops up on the screen, his expression shows that he heard what Jinora said but didn't understand any of it.)

...The Western Air Temple? Air Nomad children? I don't think anyone like that's around the Digital World.

Oops. Sorry, Takato. Those are actually names of people from my world; Leormon and I are trying to decide on a good name for her.

(Takato smiles lightly before 'appearing' to lean closer as if to tell her a secret no one else knew.)

When I first became a Tamer -that's what Chosen are called back in my world- I created Guilmon to be even stronger than a Digimon I liked, Agumon! I drew him and one of his earlier forms all by myself.

(Just a little inspiration always helps.)

[Dorumon was the one watching the feed while her Chosen sits behind her staring at a Salamon on his bed, who is staring right back at him nervously. Whatever's going on behind her she's obviously gotten bored of it.]

Are you making blueprints?

Jinora and I are trying to decide on a name for me. The other girl who lives in our room also has a Leormon for a partner, so we need some way to tell the two of us apart.

Oh! That's great! Tony only just named me before we got to Hospitown, uh huh!

[She blinks]

You get a choice in the name?

[Leormon blinks in surprise]

Yes; Jinora didn't think it would be fair otherwise. You didn't?

[She shakes her head.]

I digivolved to protect Tony. So he just tapped my head

[Gestures at the IR-Port in her head.]

And said "Good job, Port". He's been calling me it ever since.

Mm-hmm. Jinora's roommate is also partnered to a Leormon, so Jinora's giving me a name to keep from getting us mixed up.

What are "Air Nomads"?

They're Jinora's people back in her world. There used to be a lot more of them over 100 years ago, but an evil lord from another nation had almost all of them killed. The only person who survived was Jinora's grandfather.

Leormon, who are you talking to?

Wow, sounds pretty tough. So is Jinora one of these nomads?

[Oh, Guilmon saw Takato talking to this girl over his D-Terminal, so Guilmon's decided to poke her with his communicator, too. Because hey, if Takato thinks she's nice, then he must be right!]

Hmmm... Are you looking up people from your world? Guilmon's never heard of Air Nomads before...

Guilmon? Are you Takato's partner?

Air Nomads are the people of my culture, but I know none of them are here. They died a long time ago. We're just trying to find a good name for Leormon since our roommate also has a Leormon for a partner.

Mm! Guilmon saw Takato talking to you, so I thought I'd say hi, too.

[Which is exactly why he's waving into the camera before he plants himself down and leans forward, listening closely to Jinora's words.]

It's sad that they died... How come that happened? Was there a big fight? Guilmon's seen that happen before...

[It's how Juri lost her Leomon, even if he's alive here.]

Well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Jinora.

[she nods] Something like that. An evil warlord was trying to kill somebody very important who was an Air Nomad, so he decided to kill all of the Air Nomads to do it.

Air Nomads huh?

Color me interested. People from your world?

Mm-hmm. There used to be hundreds of them, back before the 100 Year War. But now there are only four of us. Well, five if we count Rohan but he's still just a baby. And six if we count the Avatar.

Ah so you're one too.

So what do the Air nomads do? I presume move around if you're nomads.

We're called Air Nomads because we have the ability to bend, or manipulate, the element of air.

Before the war the Air Nomads traveled around our planet, though there were four main Temples in the north, south, east and west. Now that my family is all that's left we don't do much traveling anymore. And we live on Air Temple Island in Republic City.

Really? I've met other people with Lucemon or Salamon, but...never roommates, that's a little cool.

Sounds like you're on the right track, took me, uh...a month to name Lucette, and Salamon I'm still stumped on.
