[Maybe it's a good thing there's so little new Chosen this round. Or maybe a bad thing? If there were more, they would have probably helped calm her down...
...In any case, the whole D-Terminal thing is a bit too elaborate to be a scam, and the beast she may have kicked around a fair bit doesn't seem to be a mindless monster. Anyway, the little red... thing is lying dizzy on the floor right now. Eh, it's not permanent. She's got more matters to worry about than a creature who might just be pretending.
Scrolling through the D-Terminal a bit (after tedious attempts, she's not good at mechanics okay_, she's somehow figured out how to broadcast a message. Smart network idea. Her face is a bit too close to the screen, but it's still pretty clear she's angry.]
My name is Edea Lee. [Fuck beating the bush, she's gonna set it on fire.] If anyone knows about the whereabouts of my friends, please inform me immediately. Their names are Tiz Arrior, Agnés Oblige and Ringabel.
If you're trapping us here, father, you still... [...dammit this thing is live isn't it she should've planned beforehand...] ...underestimate us. [Yeah, smooth. Totally intimidating.
Moving on though. Cue the device flashing around wildly before she figures out how to show her fainted Guilmon to the network.] And what exactly is this thing? I get that it's a Digimon, but what is it?
[give this girl a fucking literature degree]

I don't think he's in much danger, either. I only used my boot- then again, I don't exactly have my usual weapons on me, either.
[...Hold your tongue, Edea. Telling people that could make you a target. Then again- if they're who she suspects they might be, they'd probably already know. This is so confusing.] Wait, they don't know anything? How are partners supposed to be assigned if none of them know about your background? Much less personality, dos and don'ts...
no subject
[He shrugs, completely unbothered by her mentioning of weapons. He rests his chin on his hand with an amused look.]
So in your saying that the partnerships you made back in your world, everyone knew the ins and outs of you? Because I know that a file doesn't always help on that front.
no subject
[Video game logic, okay. Being out cold for hours on end totally isn't a cause for concern or a sign of severe brain damage.] Of course, not everything... but knowing at least the basics should be more helpful than going in blind! For all I know, my... Digimon partner and I might end up hating each other.
[especially if they gave her one like. ringabel. brrrr.] I'm sorry to say, but I don't exactly get along with everyone.
no subject
[He pulls a face at that before continuing.]
You don't have to get along with everyone, it's not the point, they exist to protect us from what I've figured. It feels like some weird Yin Yang thing.
no subject
Though she doesn't exactly want to take this guy's word for law just yet, that probably works in the Digimon's favor concerning her attitude towards them. Picking up her fainted partner and placing Guilmon on her lap, she replies to the video.] So they're likeable enough that it's impossible to hate them?
[She finds that a bit hard to believe.] Are they duty-sworn to protect us? Who issues that duty?
no subject
I wouldn't say duty-sworn. At least mine haven't said it's their duty, but they certainly want to be as much use and help to me as possible.
Admittedly, the fact they actually are useful is a change from what I'm used to.
no subject
[thats all she's gathering now tbh] Well.. I can't say that's negative. By the sounds of it, are they something like... obedient children? Too old to be a toddler but too young to be anywhere near adolescence?
[...because that's sorta cute.] If you don't mind me asking, what are you used to?
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow, looking off screen again at his two digimon.]
Well. When it matters, but then I think that's part of the whole matching your personality thing. I spend most of my time arguing with one of mine.
[He is getting annoyingly fond of them both though.]
I'm used to programming that's more eager than it is actually helpful. [He rolls his eyes just thinking about his bots back home.]
no subject
Well, it doesn't hurt for them to pull their own weight. [Maybe she should be nice when hers wakes up!] I take it that you argue a lot, then?
[Sounds kinda like her. okay who is she kidding this girl is more stubborn than That One Thing stuck between your teeth during an important dinner that makes you look like an idiot trying to lick it out]
no subject
[Because for all the arguing he does participate in, he's still the one who's right in the end.
Mostly. At least 90% of the time. 75% if drinking.]
no subject
That might not exactly sound positive. She understands that, but, still.]
One last thing, if you don't mind. What's your name?
no subject
[He gives a grin as he introduces himself.]

Here's a tip from experience. Talk to your lizard king, it helps avoid misunderstandings. Believe me, those are never fun and apparently make other people... And Digimon annoyed at you as if it's your fault.
no subject
[TALK TO THE DIGIMON. DO IT, EDEA. SOCIALIZE WITH THE THING. once it wakes up]

[He nods at his own statement wisely.]
