Fifth Goal - Anniversary

So...hey.

[It's Cam. And he looks...well, not nervous. But a little subdued. Not as much as he has in the past, but reflective, conflicted, and a little bit anxious.]

Um, I'm-- for those who're, new, or I haven't...talked to, I mean, I'm Cam, um... [He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. It looks like he's in his room, likely for privacy or quiet.] I know that most of the books here, they're...Japanese. But I know some people've, kinda...read a lot of them. [That sounded stupid. No, press on, Cam, keep going.] I mean--

[Frustrated look, but.]

...What kinds'a medical books are there here? Like...has anyone found some? Just...stuff talking about, uh. Medication stuff. [Brief pause.] After-- the Beemon, the...Dark Field, all the...injuries, it's just, a, good idea for everyone to get...familiar with all that.

[He looks like he's going to say something else, opens his mouth, then hastily closes it, shakes his head, nods, and turns off the feed.]

Let me know what you figure out. Even ignoring what we talked about before, I'd love to avoid a repeat of the 'three shots of god knows what' incident.

Next time I need medicine, I'm making sure who's ever injecting me with it is human.

[She sighs heavily.]

Guess I got a little too used to Mordin's field medicine.

Probably good idea to make sure they're familiar with it too.

True, but I don't think digimon use drugs at all, legal or illegal. Did Monodramon tell you he picked to inject me with three syringes of painkillers because it seemed like a good number?

Yeah... He did. Keep him far away from it next time. Real, real far.

[Not like Cam really wants there to be a next time.]

Are you a doctor, Cam-chan? [ He looks too young to be one. ]

[Chan? What is chan? ??? Oh well.] Doctor? No, no, I just-- I mean, we should...all kinda know about this stuff, and...see what kinds of things the hospital has. [Shuffle-shrug.]

[ Opps! She forgot that Cam wasn't Japanese and would probably not know what that meant.

She was almost tempted to tease him more but ... she would feel bad teasing too much a cutie like Cam. ]

There might be some books in English. In Japan, we have to learn English. But if you can't find any, I might be able to help reading to you sometime.

You're sure? There aren't a whole lot, in English I mean, so I haven't been able to find...much. But, if someone else could read them, then... That'd be great, uh, thanks.

If you find any books that you can't read, let me know. I'm only fluent in Japanese and English but I'm still pretty good with Chinese, French, German, and Spanish.

Really? I can...only read English... Most stuff here's Japanese and I'm sorta...clueless.

Maybe? There's a whole hospital. And...that's bound to have a lot of stuff. There's painkillers, and...maybe, they'll have them too. ...But I don't think they...just say...I dunno, what I'm looking for on the bottle, so... I need to find out what to use...or...how much...

[A pause.] ...I just hope they do. I kinda...need it.

Well maybe...someone at the hospital would know? Do you--Would Commander Shepard know, or do you think she was too high to remember anything?

[A tiny, humorless laugh.] Probably not. She didn't when we talked before, when she wasn't on painkillers, so... [He sighs.] They might? I hope they might. But would they know how much? I don't wanna...

...this is a lot more difficult than it should be.
