[The screen comes on to Yu looking... rather upset and worried. In the background one can easily hear heart breaking sobs. Not childish crying or whining for attention- more like someone young grieving]

[He looks back at where his partner is crying off screen]

[ nothing fancy here. just the sun setting on the beach. yeah, there's some odd stuff here and there, but it doesn't obstruct the view much. ]

I think it's just because my friends and I would all hang around the play island until after the sun set. Riku, Kairi, and I would get up on this tree and just kinda hang out. Seeing the sun set like this kinda reminds me of home.

Hmm. For a moment I was getting worried. You have never been this still or quiet for so long so I was wondering if you suddenly went catatonic on me. [ Ryudamon is teasing, what with that little smirk of his and all. Sora? he huffs. even his own partner picks on him. ]

 [Elecmon comes on screen, holding the D-T in his paws. He looks, trembles, and puts the viewer aside, showing the floor]

[He comes back, ears down.]

[ Waver spun around looking about as infuriated as a 5’2” eighteen year old possibly could, using every bit of his self-control to not throw a book at Rin’s head. ] I’m not going to stand here and take this! I’m leaving for tonight, you can just finish it yourself! [ Oh no, Rin. Your bullying target is leaving. What now? ]

Oh, but won’t you provide a final bit of entertainment for your viewers? [ Withdrawing the communication device to point it towards him, the arrogance in her voice is just about as inflated as her ego. ] It’d be rude to just cut things short, don’t you think?

[For most, the face on the video feed today is probably an unfamiliar one, as it belongs to someone who arrived with the recent crowd of new Chosen. He addresses the camera casually, one hand resting in his pockets, shoulders slumped as he leans against the wall of a bricked building.]

All right, Digital World, as far as welcomes go, mine could have been worse. I'll rate it a good six out of ten, though this-- er, world-- has a long ways to go before it can improve that score. And whoever the heck brought us here needs to give us anti-theft devices for these communicators. Geez. . .

[He lets out a wry snort]

And the real reason I'm even using this thing is because I wanna know what progress you've made in finding an exit. I mean, some of you have been here a lot longer than I have, right? You've gotta have something by now.

[A beat]

Such stubborn denial is almost painful to watch. . .

 [There's a gray haired young man on the screen! Yay for more newbies. He is sitting down outside the apartment building, an Elecmon curled in his lap. The rabbit-frog-bird thing is making  a dull buzzing noise like powerlines, his fan-tail sparkling. Almost like he's purring. Yu bows slightly at the camera]

It's nice to meet you all, thank you for having me. My name is Yu Narukami. Please take care of me while I adjust to all of this.

[HOW ARE YOU SO CALM YU. Well taking the time to read the letter and chat with his new partner has answered a lot of his questions- and if any of his friends are here they will see this, so no need to bellow about it. No reason to be rude, right? He sits back up, and as if feeling the shift Elecmon rolls over onto his back, showing his white belly, which Yu starts petting]

My new friend here said his name is Elecmon, but after looking around I think this might be a species name. I asked if he was alright with a nickname and he doesn't seem to really care either way. Is that a common thing here? I don't want to give him a name and make him uncomfortable with his own kind.

[Elecmon peeks an eye open, seeming to finally notice he's on camera. He rolls over, ears drooping as he slinks away.]
