[On screen is one of your friendly neighborhood Persona protagonists. He spends a few seconds adjusting the camera and once satisfied, gives a happy smile. Behind him, his two partners, a DORUmon and an Elecmon, can be seen.]

Not everyone here celebrates Christmas. Or even knows what it is.

[Judging by some of the reactions he's seen around here.]

So I want to know what winter holidays you do celebrate. Or if you don't celebrate any, what you do during the cold months.

[He pauses, mulling over what he just said.]

...and if you don't have those, what do you do at this time of year?

[Yu is sitting on his apartment's couch, papers spread out over the coffee table. As well as a few origami animals. Mostly cranes, but a few other simple designs too. He taps a pen against his chin a few times before speaking.]

So, I was talking about trying to set up patrols awhile back. But the SCOPE virus and all that kinda crashed in and pushed things back a few months. I know a lot of people were interested though.

[He points his pen at a city and local area map on the table- parts of it filled out due to people exploring outside the city, and info from local digimon.]

Ideally, what I'm thinking is three separate layers. One here inside the city itself. This would most likely be younger Chosen, and those with jobs that can't invest a lot of time but still want to help. After the virus it's clear we have to keep an eye on ourselves, not just outside attacks.

[He moves the pen to the edge of the city]

Next layer is a parameter patrol, to give us some warning if we're under attack. Hopefully with fast or ride-able partners, since we've already seen that our D-T network can be shut down from outside, so we can't depend on it to spread word.

[The pen moves again, outside the city to Primary Village]

Third layer is the one we need the most but are least likely to get: a loop of the nearby villages and Locomon Terminals. So far we've depended on Sakuyamon or the original Chosen to warn us about outside threats. But we can't assume that will always be the case. But... I understand that would mean people being outside the city for days at a time... with wild digimon that might not be the friendliest. As much as I hate to say it, this will probably have to wait until things 'at home' are more secure.

Speaking of which, while I'm not looking to start anymore projects, the city DOES have a lot of mess that still needs to be cleared away. If anyone is looking to find others to team up with to help the recovery, feel free to speak up here.

[He chews on his pen, a tiny bit of stress finally showing on his face... only to be tossed away with a smile]

Oh! As for the newcomers, welcome! My name is Yu Narukami and I know this all has to be pretty confusing, so if you have questions I can try to help. I haven't been here as long as some others, but every little bit helps, right?

[The camera shakes for a moment as the video comes on, and at first it's showing the muzzle of a lion cub so close his breath is fogging up the lens.]

Okay, it's on, Rider!

Is it? Is there a light or something that shows it?

...It's right here, but it's already recording, so now we both look kinda stupid...

[Leormon points out the light with his paw, and Rider just laughs.]

That just means they'll have something to remember us by, cub!

I told you not to call me that! Now introduce yourself already so we can turn this thing off and I can keep at least a shred of my dignity!

[Rider shrugs as Leormon ducks out of frame, and turns to look into the camera lens. He's kinda hunched over, because otherwise he won't nearly fit in the shot.]

Leormon said I should introduce myself to all of you other Chosen. My name is Iskander, but if it's easier to remember you can all just call me Rider. ...Actually how about all of you call me Rider, I got used to that after a while, and I'm not exactly a King here.

[ooc: Characters who'd be likely to recognize the name "Iskander" and equate it to Alexander the Great are welcome to reference any historical records~]

[Hi Yu. The teen is on the screen, his apartment in the background. Raidou, usually an Elecmon, is currently a Tsunomon... and there is a new mon, a Gaomon]

I wanted to thank everyone for their hard work recently. Things looked bad for awhile, but we all managed to make it through- everyone should be proud, even with all the unfortunate lead up.

Also, I wanted to introduce my new partner, Tatsuya.

[Gaomon waves shyly, smiling]

Please be kind to her, and if she doesn't respond to you don't be insulted- she can't speak, but she can hear and understand you just fine.

[Tsunomon bounces in his lap]

Yu got his crest too! I digivolved into Caturamon!

[He seems to realize he's being bold, and blushes]

Don't be shy, you fought hard. I might had gained the crest, but you and Roze's partner saved the day. I heard that others got a crest too... is that so? I'd like to hear about it.

...There's something that's still bothering me about all of this. [The exhausted British-accented teenager sat at a small desk in his room, drinking a cup of tea as Palmon and Biyomon seemed to be doing the same behind him.]

Why? I don't understand what all this was supposed to accomplish on their part. If we were given 'false' partners- [with a heavy emphasis on 'false' suggesting he thought that was a load of nonsense] -what was the reasoning for it? It can't be just to try to spread that virus among all of us...the planning and effort seem too elaborate for just that outcome.

More than that, if they're replicas, so to speak, why do they have free will? [He waved a hand behind him, and Palmon shrugged at the camera as though to say 'hell if I know'.] If I didn't already know which of these two I'd met first, it'd be bloody hard to tell. I would assume most of you can say the same.

[Waver shook his head with a short but heavy sigh, setting aside his cup of tea and fiddling with the Crest of Tenacity around his neck.]

On top of all that, I realized I...m-maybe I should learn how to fight. I don't think I'll be any good at it and I'm definitely sure I'd rather not have to, but if anyone can help me I'd be grateful. If we get stuck in some kind of mess like that again, I don't want to slow anyone down.

[When the feed starts up, Guilmon cracks a gigantic smile and waves at the camera.]

Hi, everybody!

[He turns around, surveying some of the rubble-- it looks like he's in the middle of Roaming Park... or what's left of it. Splintered remnants of trees lie in a heap in the background, and for a few seconds, he looks over his shoulder before turning his gaze back to the camera.]

I know there's lots of damage out there, and I'm sure most of you are still tired from all the fighting. We're gonna have to do a lot of cleaning up, I bet, and I've already seen people talking about it. But what Guilmon was wondering is if we could have some kind of big training party! ...When we're done cleaning up, anyway.

[Yes, he just used training and party in the same sentence.]

With everyone getting their crests, that means your Digimon can evolve to Ultimate, right? But they might not be used to their new forms and attacks. Plus, there could always be more bad Digimon out there. So, if we all trained together, we might be able to do an even better job if more bad guys show up. And now that Takato's here, I can evolve to all the levels-- all the way to Mega! So, Guilmon would be happy to help if you wanna go up against someone super strong.

[Oh, and there's something else, Guilmon realizes, once his stomach starts growling.]

Me and Takato were thinking of making a big bunch of Guilmon bread for it, if anyone wants to come! And you could bring other food if you wanted to. Fighting takes a lot of energy, and I know I wouldn't want to evolve on an empty stomach. That'd be hard!

So does that sound like a good idea? Guilmon sure hopes so...

I know this might sound a little strange, but does anyone know if there's a flower field around here somewhere? It's kind of important.

[The figure on screen shifts slightly, one hand reaching for the rings that hang from a necklace she's wearing. It's a habit she's had for a long while and being in a new world's not going to make it any better. It just might make it worse, but that remains to be seen.

Before she can say anything else, the feed blurs as it's suddenly moved to face the cameramon. The angle is way awkward, because honestly the d-terminal isn't exactly designed for her paws. To make up for it, the DORUmon its filming has a huge toothy grin as she teases her partner.]

Come on! It's your first message and already you've forgotten to introduce us!

[This startles Rinoa from her slightly moody thoughts and she giggles instead.]

I was getting there, you're just too impatient!

Then you're just gonna have to be faster than me next time. ANYWAYS, before I was so rudely interrupted! I'm Dorothy, a DORUmon, and this- [The feed shifts again as the cameramon turns the feed to focus on her partner.] Is my partner Rinoa. Say hi Rinoa!

[Completely railroaded by her own digimon, Rinoa simply smiles and waves cheerfully.]

Hi!

Well, that was a good way to break a newcomer in to how this place runs, hm?

[Yu is sitting on the couch of his apartment, Elecmon curled up sleeping next to him]

Raidou has been telling me a bit about how power levels work here. How this Lotusmon was a 'Mega' level, and so far only a few people can reach the level below it, 'Ultimate'.

I know I haven't been here long, I can't make assumptions about how things are done. But I'm worried. This city has no defense against her or any other powerful Digimon showing up again. I'm not sure the city can take that again. It's amazing that no one died.

I think... maybe we should talk about contingency plans.

[The screen comes on to Yu looking... rather upset and worried. In the background one can easily hear heart breaking sobs. Not childish crying or whining for attention- more like someone young grieving]

Ah.... excuse me but... is it normal for a digimon's evolution to be... really different in personality then originally?

[He looks back at where his partner is crying off screen]

Raidou... it's not your fault...

I-i never wanna digivolve again!!
