Will you quit it? Everyone has worse things to worry about, no one's going to listen!
Shut up, if there's one constant to the universe, it's that people will love to talk about themselves.
[The sound quality becomes a lot clearer as one of them wins the struggle, and Alex addresses everyone!]
Distracting everyone from the swarm of angry killer bees or whatever they are for a moment, I have a more important discussion. I was recently talking with a guy who seemed to come from a world where the American rebellion succeeded. Which, I'll grant, if there's truly an infinite number of possible worlds, then completely daft ones like that must exist too. But then I realized, if there's truly an infinite number, a superficial difference like a country is far too tiny, there should be much more difference.
If we're 'chosen', then we must be chosen for a reason, and if we hail from similar worlds, that might be a part of it. I think if we hear about what worlds everyone comes from, we might be able to find a commonality to lead us to the solution to the problem that brought us here in the first place. So, what kinds of worlds do you all hail from? Talk about them, it's actually important.
Do you have to be that wordy about it?
Quiet, you.
[And with that, the audio cuts out.]
As some of us anticipated, the reality of being here is more than just the parades and games we have experienced the past few days. While the welcoming from the Damemon and the Chosen before us was appreciated, it is now time to focus on the matter at hand. I will not repeat what Koushirou has already informed us of but I would like for us to spend these next two days devising a plan and perhaps forming groups that can work together and ensure everyone's safety during the imminent attack.
I know there are others here with experience in combat situations. We are limited in our resources and abilities, but that does not mean we can sit idly by and do nothing. We have been asked to help and I plan to give it as I have said I would. We were told when we arrived that we might have to face challenges like this as proposed Chosen. Why we were chosen and what it means is still left to be seen. However, I believe we can handle this first challenge, but only if we prepare and work together now as opposed to waiting for the attack to happen.
[Kaldur lets that sink in before continuing on.]
We must also consider our missing friends. Taichi may have wandered off, but I have noticed that others are gone as well. Are the two connected or is there something else at work here? We can only find out if we investigate what happened to Taichi. Koushirou and the chosen before us cannot handle this problem alone. I am not sure about the rest of you, but I would like to be with the group to go out and find Taichi. We should establish who is going and who is staying to protect the city. I ask those who are up to it to please step forward. If you do not feel that you can, there are other ways in which you can help and ensure that this attack does not end badly. That can be discussed as well. Either way, our best bet is to work together now and discuss strategy.
[That's probably the most Kaldur has ever said in one sitting. He bows his head as a sort of farewell. And then gestures behind him, it appears he is standing in front of the main Meeting Hall ]
I believe it would be prudent to put the meeting hall to use. We can set it up as a headquarters and since it is at the center of the city we can make it an easily defensible position for those unable to fight or who wish to stay safe. I do not expect everyone to fight, but if you are willing then we can find something for you to do. I am also open to thoughts from others. After all, I am new to this situation as well.
[Early morning the night of the twenty-first a maybe familiar boy appears on every screen in Terminal Tokyo. Computer screens light up, televisions, and everyone's D-Terminals. If the other day's appearance showed a mess of a room, today's was even worse as he didn't even pay attention to the feed as he spoke.]
Sorry for intruding on your sleep, everyone, but we've got an emergency on our hands.
The other day Taichi-san found a new development close to Primary Village. For now we'll call it a Digital Field. It looked somewhat similar to what we saw when we came to the Digital World-- a bright light streaming with data. It's a large area and emitting a lot of powerful signals. The areas close to it doesn't seem to be affected, but... Well...
Taichi-san decided to get a closer look against my better judgement. I've lost contact with him for the past three days.
[He pauses, frowning, before turning the computer screen to face the D-Terminal. The screen shows several surveillance cameras and each one says the same thing in various areas: an army of Beemon, of all sorts, traveling across land and destroying anything in their wake.]
Right now there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of different kinds of Beemon making their way across the Digital World. From what I can tell they're all headed here to Terminal Tokyo. The closest wave will be here in two days time and while city defenses can hold them off for a bit... we can't hold off all of them.
We need your help, everyone, to find Taichi and to protect the city. I can't say what's going on with that field, but that's why we'll need people to protect anyone who goes in. Helping Elecmon with the baby Digimon is also a priority since we don't know what will happen in the next few days.
[He turned the computer screen away, shaking his head.] I know some of you were wanting to help, so here's your chance.

[ It's midday. The video clicks on pointed at the pavement, then quickly swings up to show Forte from the back. He looks like your average teenager, wearing black jeans and a black jacket with gold trim. He's standing some distance away from the camera on the side of a street near one of the marketplaces, head turned just enough to tell that he's chewing on a piece of beef jerky from a package he's holding.
He's also completely oblivious to the fact that his Digimon stole the D-terminal again. The video swings as Tsukaimon turns the camera towards himself, giving a mischievous grin.]
Hello, ladies... and dudes too, I guess.
[He's speaking in a hushed tone, clearly trying to keep Forte from hearing what he's up to. He turns the terminal back around, fixing the camera back on Forte, who still has his back turned and is now scratching idly at his ear.]
Today we'll be documenting the fascinating creature known as Fortissimo Maximus. Now this specimen happens to be a big jerk, so ya gotta like 'em fiery and dangerous! No worries, though, we've caught him at a rare and precious moment of peace here. So long as we keep very very quiet, there'll be no yelling or me gettin' punched! An' you wouldn't want a cute little Digimon like me getting hurt, now would ya?
[The video tilts as Tsukaimon leans his face back into the shot long enough to give the fakest puppy eyes ever. His tone is playful and joking throughout the whole thing.]
He typically spends his days wandering all over the place like a lost puppy and grumbling about how annoying food is and how he can't shoot things anymore. Let's move in a little closer and-
HEY!
[Oops, by now Forte's noticed something is up and turned around. He stomps towards Tsukaimon, and the video careens wildly as the Digimon tries to hide the D-terminal and Forte grabs for it.]
What the hell are you doing? Give me that!
Aw c'mon! I'm just trying to introduce ya, Captain Antisocial! Wouldn't kill ya to get to know some people, you know? 'Specially pretty girls!
I said GIVE IT, dumbass, I don't care about anyone else!
Too bad, it's already posted! Nyah nyah!
[Yeah, they're just gonna continue arguing like this until one of them wrests control of the D-terminal.]

[The feed turns onto darkness and the sound of frantic typing. There's a sound of movement as an insect Digimon moves a way a box. The room it shows seems to only contain a thirteen-year-old boy and said Digimon, if you don't count several computers and heaps of water bottles.]
Thanks. [Koushirou only briefly glanced up at his partner before turning his attention to the computer and finishing up a piece of information.]
[With a sigh he turns his attention to the D-Terminal.]
Hello there. I know I've introduced myself before, but now that we're doing it somewhat in person-- my name's Koushirou Izumi. This is my partner Tentomon.
I know many of you have questions, so I'm going to answer them the best that I can. It's taken a while with how things are going and I haven't been able to reach Gennai-san until recently, but what we have should help.
Six months ago an abnormality appeared across the Digital Plane. We're still working out what it is, but the outcome was the merger of worlds. Whatever it is has managed to reach the connection to all the worlds. Since then the worlds have lost their balance. Earthquakes happen frequently as the worlds shift on top of each other. All of you appeared after the last one, which we feared was going to happen.
The Digital World uses us as a sort of defensive mechanism, this is because the bond between Digimon and Human is great. Normally, the Digital World doesn't call so many of us at one. I believe that just shows how dire our situation is. Every Chosen Child that has ever been born is being called to this one point in time.
Unfortunately, the only way to end things and go home quicker is to fight. We have some leads right now that a few of my friends are out checking on. Gennai-san has also started traveling between the rest of the Digital Worlds to see if there's any information he can gather. We've gotten closer to some answers recently, but I'm afraid we still don't have nearly enough...
[He glances at the computer screen.]
Right now everything is kind of hectic. We're torn between finding the answers and keeping the worlds from totally collapsing. I'm not sure how well it's going to end...
Anyway, please, i you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I'll answer to the best of my ability, but try to remember that we don't know all the details to the situation right now.
[ Zidane's actually spent a couple days sneaking about and poking at things and getting a handle on what exactly the situation is around here... which normally would be easy except he happens to have a bright green monkey following him around. He feels as if someone... somehow... whatever vague aspect of fate who was in charge of picking partners out was having a good laugh over giving him Monmon as a partner.
But best not to dwell on that! There were other things to attend to! Suck as fooling around with the D-terminal thing. Once he figures out how to turn the video feed on at least. But hey! Eventually he gets the hang of it. Without ANY help from Monmon either. ]
Hey out there! This thing is pretty cool huh? I mean there's nothing like this where I'm from! Actually there's a lot things around here that's nothing like where I'm from. All these friendly monsters NOT trying to eat me and everyone's really super tall like Amarant is...
[ He trails off but then grins broadly. ]
Anyways! What I guess I'm trying to say is... can anyone help explain some of this digital stuff to me? All the explanations I get have been pretty vague...
Hey! I'm very good at explaining!
Monmon, I told you before that I'm just trying to get a little more detail.
[ He gives his digimon partner a look. C'mon Monmon... he JUST told you he's trying to fish for replies from cute girls. ]
OH RIGHT.
Yes right.
You're trying to talk to pretty-
PRETTY MUCH anyone who knows a thing or two about this digital thing, yes!

[DemiDevimon lands on his shoulders.]
No! You're doing it wrong!
What? You said you wanted to do a stupid introduction!
Not you! Me! Introduce ME!!
Alright, alright! Damn. This is DemiDevimon. There.
That introduction sucked.
I'm not fucking good at this type of thing!
Obviously. It's okay. I think my greatness speaks for itself.
Anyways - [He moves to the side so DemiDevimon is out of the frame.] - I guess it's a long shot, but if anyone knows where I can get a bike around here, if I can get one, I'd appreciate it. A motorbike, not a regular one.
...And...I'm gonna look for them, but if any of you meet someone named Daiya Oowada or Kiyotaka Ishimaru...tell 'em I'm here, okay?
This can only go well.]
Okay, I wanna know who the fraggin' genius was who--
Hey! That is not what we said we were using the D-Terminal for!
[She's cut off by a child-like voice, its friendly tone a huge contrast in comparison to her much more stern one.]
You have to be nice. Here, I'll teach you how! Lemme see that.
You better not--
[But it's too late, the device is snatched from her hands and put in front of a much more happier face. The big, blue eyes of Tapirmon seem to sparkle with delight as he addresses everyone in the city.]
Hi everybody! I'm Tapirmon!
[Seriously, he sounds like he's five.]
My, um, partner needs help. Help with being...um, I know the word... "organic".
[He beams at his ability to remember Arcee's plight. That is, her struggles with suddenly being human. There's no easy way to say it, she's not really sure what to do. ...And it's not like small tapir monsters can help her out.]
Just so we're clear, this thing is not my partner.
[Might as well throw that in. Anyone want it? She can't seem to shake it it.]
