Tentomon, could you move that a little?

[The feed turns onto darkness and the sound of frantic typing. There's a sound of movement as an insect Digimon moves a way a box. The room it shows seems to only contain a thirteen-year-old boy and said Digimon, if you don't count several computers and heaps of water bottles.]

Thanks. [Koushirou only briefly glanced up at his partner before turning his attention to the computer and finishing up a piece of information.]

[With a sigh he turns his attention to the D-Terminal.]

Hello there. I know I've introduced myself before, but now that we're doing it somewhat in person-- my name's Koushirou Izumi. This is my partner Tentomon.

I know many of you have questions, so I'm going to answer them the best that I can. It's taken a while with how things are going and I haven't been able to reach Gennai-san until recently, but what we have should help.

Six months ago an abnormality appeared across the Digital Plane. We're still working out what it is, but the outcome was the merger of worlds. Whatever it is has managed to reach the connection to all the worlds. Since then the worlds have lost their balance. Earthquakes happen frequently as the worlds shift on top of each other. All of you appeared after the last one, which we feared was going to happen.

The Digital World uses us as a sort of defensive mechanism, this is because the bond between Digimon and Human is great. Normally, the Digital World doesn't call so many of us at one. I believe that just shows how dire our situation is. Every Chosen Child that has ever been born is being called to this one point in time.

Unfortunately, the only way to end things and go home quicker is to fight. We have some leads right now that a few of my friends are out checking on. Gennai-san has also started traveling between the rest of the Digital Worlds to see if there's any information he can gather. We've gotten closer to some answers recently, but I'm afraid we still don't have nearly enough...

[He glances at the computer screen.]

Right now everything is kind of hectic. We're torn between finding the answers and keeping the worlds from totally collapsing. I'm not sure how well it's going to end...

Anyway, please, i you have any questions, feel free to ask them. I'll answer to the best of my ability, but try to remember that we don't know all the details to the situation right now.

[Henry's turned on the device, face just as cheerful as usual. Gaomon can be seen on the background sipping tea.]

Hey-o! Anyone want to die?

[Gaomon stops drinking and looks very concerned.]

Henry. Why are you asking?

I want to know what happens when people die here. [He says it like it's the most obvious thing in the world]

[ Zidane's actually spent a couple days sneaking about and poking at things and getting a handle on what exactly the situation is around here... which normally would be easy except he happens to have a bright green monkey following him around.  He feels as if someone... somehow... whatever vague aspect of fate who was in charge of picking partners out was having a good laugh over giving him Monmon as a partner.

But best not to dwell on that!  There were other things to attend to! Suck as fooling around with the D-terminal thing.  Once he figures out how to turn the video feed on at least.  But hey! Eventually he gets the hang of it.  Without ANY help from Monmon either. ]

Hey out there! This thing is pretty cool huh? I mean there's nothing like this where I'm from! Actually there's a lot things around here that's nothing like where I'm from.  All these friendly monsters NOT trying to eat me and everyone's really super tall like Amarant is...

[ He trails off but then grins broadly. ]

Anyways! What I guess I'm trying to say is... can anyone help explain some of this digital stuff to me? All the explanations I get have been pretty vague...

Hey! I'm very good at explaining!

Monmon, I told you before that I'm just trying to get a little more detail.

[ He gives his digimon partner a look.  C'mon Monmon... he JUST told you he's trying to fish for replies from cute girls. ]

OH RIGHT.

Yes right.

You're trying to talk to pretty-

PRETTY MUCH anyone who knows a thing or two about this digital thing, yes!

[It seemed like the newer influx of Chosens couldn't have come at a better time. The D-Terminal is angled like anyone would angle a camera phone for a self-shot, a little lower, though, so his vision's not obstructed as he continues to walk ahead. Behind him is a view of the Fuji TV Station. The boy's hair is a windswept mess. If anyone's met Robin, then Tim Drake's voice will sound a little higher-- more natural, really.]

Hi, guys. I just got here and I was wondering--

[That's when a purple horn appears on screen. It's almost like Tim tries to hide it. He continues chatting like nothing happened. Like maybe he just felt like readjusting his hold on the Terminal.]

You know how we were given some of the... digital money to spend? Well... what happens if we blew it all off already? I mean, have you guys seen the mall?

I smell... sweet. Why-

And has anyone asked the train-mons what the price is to go to another city?

Uh, hi everyone, I'm Mondo Oowada, Super High School Level Gang Leader, and -

[DemiDevimon lands on his shoulders.]

No! You're doing it wrong!

What? You said you wanted to do a stupid introduction!

Not you! Me! Introduce ME!!

Alright, alright! Damn. This is DemiDevimon. There.

That introduction sucked.

I'm not fucking good at this type of thing!

Obviously. It's okay. I think my greatness speaks for itself.

Anyways - [He moves to the side so DemiDevimon is out of the frame.] - I guess it's a long shot, but if anyone knows where I can get a bike around here, if I can get one, I'd appreciate it. A motorbike, not a regular one.

...And...I'm gonna look for them, but if any of you meet someone named Daiya Oowada or Kiyotaka Ishimaru...tell 'em I'm here, okay?

MEMORY SEQUENCE 001 - VIDEO

[There is a view of intense brown eyes peering right up to the D-Terminal, which widen as the screen activates.] It is glowing!

[The eyes draw back, startled, to reveal a face with a good deal of frown lines for his age, a scar under one eye, and long braided hair, the rest of it tied back in a ponytail. He looks offscreen to where his partner, Armadillomon, trots into view and sits beside him.]

That's right, you switched on the video function. [Seeing his confusion, Armadillomon elaborates,] Now you can talk to the others!

I can? But I do not know where to begin, or what to ask. There are so many things I do not know. [Still confused, his attention is back on the screen again.] If anyone is listening, I have just arrived here. This spirit--

--Digimon--

--is calling itself my partner. I do not understand his explanation of this world, nor did I understand all of the guide...

[Armadillomon pokes his face into the screen.] Connor doesn't know what computers are, or what the internet is, or even electricity! I thought everyone knew that.

Apparently not. [Connor's reply is clipped, brisk, as though already losing his patience with his new partner. He tugs the odd shelled creature out of the way of the screen and addresses the communicator again.] If anyone is able to provide me with a better explanation, I would be grateful. [He inclines his head.] Thank you.

[Hermione hasn't dealt all too much with the D-Terminal since arriving. She's spoke to a few people through it, but in all she's been avoiding the masses for more logical things-- like looking through all the books in Odaiba Elementary and other places she could. Of course, those came up with frustrating results.]

[And on top of that the Damemon just love making a racket, don't they?]

[So when she finally appears on the screen it's with a look of irritation. She's still in a library and the orange dinosaur Digimon behind her looks bored to pieces.]

Finally. Even the Gryffindor Common Room hardly ever got so noisy as it's been here the past few days, and we had the twins to make them rowdy. I hope the Damemon don't plan to do this every time new people arrive.

But it looked like fun.

[The Agumon's whine was enough to make her whine and glance over her shoulder.]
And I told you over a dozen times to go out there. You're the one who insisted on following me in here.

[Agumon look dismayed and mumbled a quiet I thought you could use the company. It was quiet enough that the viewer couldn't hear it, but Hermione did look somewhat guilty before she spoke again.]

I told you I'd be fine just as many times, you know--- Anyway, I've been spending the last few days trying to translate some of the works. I've never learned Japanese, so those ones are beyond me. Some of the others were a fair bit easier thanks to the alphabet on the D-Terminal, but unfortunately it hasn't been all that helpful.

Has anyone else had any luck?

Oh-- Right. I'm Hermione Granger and this is Agumon.

Hiya!

I've been here just as long as most of the rest of you. Surely, we can start finding answers soon. Especially given this is a Digital World. Nothing can lack answers.

( It's absolutely fascinating seeing what this internal, digivice to digivice network has been like; who talks on it, how people communicate, what information they share. Dracomon doesn't seem as fascinated as she is, though she admits most that fascination had to do with needing distraction after finally winding their way out of the crowds on this last day of festivities.

Which might explain why she's wrapped up in her sweater, elbows resting on the lip of the roof as she examines that stretch of unfamiliar forever when she finally decides to add her own chatter to the network. Nothing heavy, and not even looking for information from the start. She'd rather lead in to the sort of miscellaneous details she wants to know. )

Tell me I'm not the only one who asked if they have larger bills called kilobits and if we can trade in gigabits and terabits if we make it big enough.
