Okay, I've got a lot to say, as usual, and not a lot of energy to say it with, so kindly listen up without vomiting out every asinine thought that comes into your heads like you normally do.
First off, Lotusmon is finally dead. Permanently or not, I'm not certain, since for some reason it's bloody impossible to track these things, but she's out of our hair for now and for the foreseeable future. As she died, she mentioned some very important shit. More whining about her Master, saying she was supposed to be the strongest of his servants- which is good for us if it's true, frankly- and then some more stuff about her 'beloved' and her 'queen'. Last time she spoke about her 'master', she used masculine pronouns, meaning it and the queen are separate beings, though her 'beloved' may or may not be one of them. So there's two or three beings she was working for, possibly more. And, of course, more servants, we can assume a fair number of fully-evolved Digimon.
We've all found out about our other partners, but frankly, they're sort of useless. I asked mine where they've been hiding all this time. Apparently, they were living normally, then nothing. When they woke up, they were in stasis in some kind of castle. Don't know if it's the same one we've been to, because getting solid and useful information just doesn't happen around here.
... About the SCOPE virus, it seems like I was infected with that for a while myself. So humans can be infected, but the presence of the new partner seemed to purge it. So, at least there's that- We might be safe from it now. I don't know for certain, and I don't have the ability to test for that here. Keep your guard up, and if you think you might be infected, go to the hospital and stay there. Similarly, anyone who has been in close proximity to SCOPE-infected Digimon, have your friends or partners keep an eye on you for erratic behavior, and if they say you are acting off, get to the hospital yourselves. I hope these new partners will stop the outbreak, but I don't intend to take risks on it.
I've been out of commission for a while thanks to that virus, too, so if anyone else has pertinent information to share about all of this, tell me. I'm beginning work on a guide of sorts- since this world keeps bringing in people, a simple document kept up-to-date about everything we have done and discovered should be quite useful for bringing newbies up to speed quickly.
Why? I don't understand what all this was supposed to accomplish on their part. If we were given 'false' partners- [with a heavy emphasis on 'false' suggesting he thought that was a load of nonsense] -what was the reasoning for it? It can't be just to try to spread that virus among all of us...the planning and effort seem too elaborate for just that outcome.
More than that, if they're replicas, so to speak, why do they have free will? [He waved a hand behind him, and Palmon shrugged at the camera as though to say 'hell if I know'.] If I didn't already know which of these two I'd met first, it'd be bloody hard to tell. I would assume most of you can say the same.
[Waver shook his head with a short but heavy sigh, setting aside his cup of tea and fiddling with the Crest of Tenacity around his neck.]
On top of all that, I realized I...m-maybe I should learn how to fight. I don't think I'll be any good at it and I'm definitely sure I'd rather not have to, but if anyone can help me I'd be grateful. If we get stuck in some kind of mess like that again, I don't want to slow anyone down.
Good morning. The time is zero seven twenty hours. [ Formal, curt, but with a polite tone. Her expression never once waivers as she continues. ] Mikasa Ackerman, soldier. Rank is of little importance here, but experience is highly sought out from my understanding.
[ Which is why she introduces herself as a soldier instead of taking the easy life and settling in under a new alias. If people were instructed to fight here, then she wanted not only her skills to be known, but to not be treated as if she were a weak individual. Behind her appears a Terriermon who seems more interested in what she's doing than anything else. ]
I formally request a briefing on the situation of this world as well as any documentation related to having your Digimon grow stronger. [ A brief pause. ] As well as information as to why there are skeletons hanging on the walls.
Thank you.
[ With that, she cuts the call and leaves her room, Terriermon in tow. Hello roommates of F1 005, it seems your new companion has finally made herself visible enough to step free from her room to get to know you better. ]
Hello, Chosen.
I know many of you may not think highly of me, but I wanted to inform you that I have a lead on Lotusmon's whereabouts and I've sent my followers after her. They're tracking her down as we speak - I will keep you updated on our progress. Rest assured, we will bring her to justice.
[There's a pause, Sakuyamon looking even more serious than before.] I am sorry for our earlier introduction, Chosen Children. We . . .We are on the same side.
[The connection cuts, but Sakuyamon may respond to specific questions.]
Alexandria here. I've compiled the information I personally gathered from the foray into the Dark Field, and I'm going to relay it to you lot now. Any others who have relevant information, please share. The other idiots who went in, check in with your own findings as soon as you feel well enough.
Despite its name, the Dark Field this time rather liked light. It used it to burn and blind, and whip lashes to injure. It tried to inflict some emotional distress too, but frankly, who gives a fuck about all that. Its assaults were more focused on causing pain than doing actual harm- Whip lashes across the back, first-degree burns on the arms. Nothing debilitating. Hell, I could probably do more actual damage.
When it had finished playing games, though, it took me into a crater. Huge, deep, and sheer. I could calculate the exact forces necessary to make that crater, but frankly, numbers wouldn't matter to most of you, so I'll just say whatever made that was wielding forces orders of magnitude above ours.
I also saw... sort of, anyway. Sort of saw the being that I'm assuming made it. It looked to be made of light, and had red eyes. I thought it was an illusion, like that midget mentioned once before, but to confirm, I addressed it. ... I can't be certain, but I think it heard me. When I had finished speaking, it laughed. And its laughter shook the ground.
I've got a few ideas as to what that thing could have been, but frankly, they're all just guesses at this point. Maybe it's the sentience behind the Dark Fields. Maybe it's that master the flower bitch talked about. Maybe it's this world's god. Frankly, I have nothing useful at this point, past that it wasn't human. It gave the impression of a Digimon, but well beyond the capabilities of any we've seen so far.
I will also say, it wanted to punish us. I don't know what for. But it was about to wipe us out with a hand, but it stopped and came apart like a telly with no reception. That's when the whole damn field came apart and dumped our sorry asses back into the city.
From now on, be on the lookout for red lights. That's a dangerous sign. If you see them, turn around and start running. Treat red as dangerous until proven otherwise. And if you see the light thing I described here... Well, if you've got a deity you're particularly fond of, start praying.
It wasn't a total waste, though. I've now got a good idea of supplies needed for the next time one of you idiots decides to take a trip into the field. I'm going to start making packs for emergency Dark Field trips, and store them in the central living spaces, so when one of you feels the need to be a hero, you can grab it on your way. Anyone who feels like stealing from an unoccupied hospital to grab the supplies to bring to me, let me know, it'll make my job a lot easier until I heal.
[Yu is sitting on the couch of his apartment, Elecmon curled up sleeping next to him]
Raidou has been telling me a bit about how power levels work here. How this Lotusmon was a 'Mega' level, and so far only a few people can reach the level below it, 'Ultimate'.
I know I haven't been here long, I can't make assumptions about how things are done. But I'm worried. This city has no defense against her or any other powerful Digimon showing up again. I'm not sure the city can take that again. It's amazing that no one died.
I think... maybe we should talk about contingency plans.
[Hello, everyone! There's another memory coming your way, and it's slightly disconcerting.]
Hello! With everyone coming and going, a lot of you might not know me, but I'm Hikari Yagami, one of the earlier Chosen Children. With my brother and the others out looking for clues... [And leaving her behind.] I'm sort of...a home-base, he called it.
He told me since some of you are restless here, you can help Koushirou-san. He's trying to get data for a device to shut down the Dark Fields, but he's also trying to research that virus we heard about, so he can't get it himself... That's why my brother told me to use that mission board the Trailmon set up! We need at least four people each to go to the four Dark Fields and get data from them.
You don't need to go inside, don't worry! Just have someone get close enough to stick a data-gatherer in and the others keep any wild Digimon distracted.
[A very tiny pause.]
Gatomon and I can help, if anyone needs it. Just don't tell Taichi.
[ooc: What Hikari's referring to are these missions here for the last week of August, recently put up. This will be important for September's plot.]
[Elecmon comes on screen, holding the D-T in his paws. He looks, trembles, and puts the viewer aside, showing the floor]
Yu...
It's okay, they won't bite you.
Ne... okay...
[He comes back, ears down.]
Uhm, Yu was asking... my attacks and I.... don't- Would? Ah...
Wouldsomeonliketosparwithme? I don't know much about my attacks or powers...

[Hey, Terminal Tokyo. Look who it is. It's Cam! Sans cast
Notably, for anyone who happened to catch his little emotional outburst the other late night, he's showing no signs of that whatsoever, just...running a hand through his hair.
His hair that's, uh. Sort of covering his ears and reaching down his neck.]
Are uh, there any people who can cut hair here? Or...a barber shop? Mine's getting really...annoying.
[For good measure, he adds a hopeless, helpless half-grin before flicking off the feed.]
