Alright, ladies and gents, listen up. This weekend is my girlfriend's birthday! Sooo, I wanna throw her a big surprise party for her sweet sixteen. I, uh, I'm assuming everyone knows who she is? But for those of you who don't: yes, I'm dating Rise Kujikawa.

[ He looks away for a moment, counting on his fingers, then looks back with a pleased grin on his face. ]

Yeah, for two months on June 10th.

Anyway, everyone's invited, I just need a couple people to help me out with baking, since I'm kinda trying to attempt to make a 16-tier cake. Cam, Neku, you aren't allowed near the kitchen again.

And I'll probably be throwing this shindig at the karaoke place where she works, I just need to talk to someone else who works there to figure out the logistics of it all. Obviously it'll be on her birthday — June 1st — and she's got that day off, so I'd just need to get a room big enough for... well, a lot of people. The biggest one possible. Not sure how much that'd cost, either. Man, my paycheck is gonna be gone by the end of this week...

But yeah. RSVP here so I know how big of a room to get. I think the 16-tier cake'll cover the food part.

Rise wants your help to aid this person's cry for help. But she knew that this was not an assignment that she could do alone. And besides, it would be a lot more fun with more people.

She planned to corner surprise Hibiki by forming a makeover team. It would be an opportunity to meet people like her who finds joy in these things and it would be a fun project at the same time. Those who wanted to exercise their love for fashion, trends and make up.

SO --- Have an energetic Rise interrupting your feed with an announcement to make, but keep it a secret, okay?

The first thing she does was hold up a screenshot that she secretly took during her first conversation with Hibiki. }

Cute or not ... well, he needs some fashion help and quick.

[at first, the video flips on to a screen partially obscured by a renamon's clawed hand. she's holding the communicator out to someone. her voice is low, but firm.]

[there's a somewhat indignant huff, and then small (human) hands reach for the comm. the video shuts off. a few minutes later, text:]

My name is Nill. My partner is Renamon. Namine is helping me read and write. I should practice. Tell me about you with typing. Please.

[Daisuke rubs at his eye. He still looks exhausted even a few days after the Beemon were all gone. Veemon is even worse as his form can be seen in the background, passed out on the bed and sleeping hard. Daisuke couldn't really blame his partner, the little guy had gone through multiple evolutions and fought several different Beemon...some of which had been of MUCH higher levels.]

Hope everyone is starting to recover okay. The city still looks pretty banged up though. It got me thinking about the times my friends and I had to rebuild the Digital World after things like this happened. I know we can't rebuild all the towns out there that the Beemon hit, at least, not yet. But it would probably be a good idea to start working on repairing this place.

Clean up won't be too hard, trust me I've done it plenty of times. If we work together and get the resident Digimon involved it'll go pretty quickly. The West side of town was hit the hardest so I'll meet anyone interested over there tomorrow.

[He flashes a grin.] Snacks are on me for whoever agrees to come help out.

[At the mention of snacks Veemon snorts in the background and sits up, bleary eyed.]

Did somebody say snacks?

[Daisuke laughed as Veemon's stomach rumbled.] I'll be back, first I need to feed Veemon before he tries to eat his pillow or something...again.

 [Early morning the night of the twenty-first a maybe familiar boy appears on every screen in Terminal Tokyo. Computer screens light up, televisions, and everyone's D-Terminals. If the other day's appearance showed a mess of a room, today's was even worse as he didn't even pay attention to the feed as he spoke.]

Sorry for intruding on your sleep, everyone, but we've got an emergency on our hands.

The other day Taichi-san found a new development close to Primary Village. For now we'll call it a Digital Field. It looked somewhat similar to what we saw when we came to the Digital World-- a bright light streaming with data. It's a large area and emitting a lot of powerful signals. The areas close to it doesn't seem to be affected, but... Well...

Taichi-san decided to get a closer look against my better judgement. I've lost contact with him for the past three days.

[He pauses, frowning, before turning the computer screen to face the D-Terminal. The screen shows several surveillance cameras and each one says the same thing in various areas: an army of Beemon, of all sorts, traveling across land and destroying anything in their wake.]

Right now there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of different kinds of Beemon making their way across the Digital World. From what I can tell they're all headed here to Terminal Tokyo. The closest wave will be here in two days time and while city defenses can hold them off for a bit... we can't hold off all of them.

We need your help, everyone, to find Taichi and to protect the city. I can't say what's going on with that field, but that's why we'll need people to protect anyone who goes in. Helping Elecmon with the baby Digimon is also a priority since we don't know what will happen in the next few days.

[He turned the computer screen away, shaking his head.] I know some of you were wanting to help, so here's your chance.

[The camera cuts abruptly to a view from the roof of a building, giving a panorama over one of the bridges and the river of the city. How the D-Terminal's owner got up to such a height is unknown, but who it belong to becomes obvious when Armadillomon shuffles into view. He pokes his nose over the edge of the roof, looking a little green.]

I don't know why you had to carry me up here... Couldn't I have just waited on the ground where it's safe?

[Then there's a brief glimpse of Connor's hooded face as he sets the D-Terminal down, perching himself on the edge of the rooftop. Apparently the multi-story drop doesn't make him flinch in the least.]

There. [The camera is angled toward, in the distance, Tokyo's Statue of Liberty.] Look at the tablet she is holding. It has a date on it -- "4th July, 1776".

[This means nothing to Armadillomon, who is only looking more anxious.] All right, now you've seen it, can we get down?

Wait. [He places a hand on Armadillomon's shell, as if to soothe his nerves.] I wish to know the meaning of the other date. "14th July, 1789". [Now his attention is on the D-Terminal, which he glances down to.] Is anyone able to tell me? And why is such a statue in a place such as this? It should not belong in this world.

Alright, now who here is totally excited to meet their new Digimon partners?! [Yeah, she's pretty sure some of you out there aren't the exact definition of elated with who you're paired up with...but don't you worry, that's completely normal. Just give it time...]

I know it's a lot to take in, and pretty unexpected, but believe me when I tell you that life for you is never going to be the same, and it's definitely a good thing! ♥ I don't know how I could've gotten to where I am nowadays without Palmon...

[She seems to be digressing. Has she forgotten that she's addressing a load of new, confused, and potentially scared people?]

Oh! I should probably introduce myself, huh? [She's still all smiles regardless, and there doesn't seem to be any sign of that changing...yet.] I'm Mimi Tachikawa, one of the original Chosen Children, right there with Taichi-san, Hikari-chan, Koushirou-kun, Yamato-san, Sora-san, Jou-senpai, and Takeru-kun!

Don't worry, you'll have time to remember our names later. For now, I recommend you really get to know your new Digimon partner! It'll come in real handy later when it's time for them to evolve...and the stronger your bond becomes, the better, I always say!

...why, you wonder? Well...eheh...you'll see. [Impish grin.]

But! I guess all that's left now is for Koushirou-kun to explain the nitty-gritty, huh? Don't worry, it might sound complicated, but if someone like me can get the hang of it, anyone can!

N-not that I'm dumb or anything! But it was a lot to figure out, at first! But we've blazed the trail for others to follow, and we're here to help you every step of the way!

[She leans in and cups a hand beside her mouth to whisper dryly.] Especially with translating what Koushirou-kun tells you. It's taken me years to figure it out, but I'm the expert, now! Come to me if you don't get it.

[Back to normal volume! Which is pretty up there.] Hope to see you in the Digital World sometime soon, lovelies! Ciao! ♥

[BlackWargreymon takes a moment to compose himself as he turns on the communicator. Attached to his wrist, it shows him from a low angle, his horns jutting out of the frame while the sun light glints off his helm.]

I...would like to ask for advice.

[He pauses, as once again he tries to collect his thoughts.]

My presence here...confuses me. My life ended due to a grievous wound, yet here I stand, whole and unharmed. I believe I was brought here in order to aid the efforts to return the Real World and the Digital World to normal, but I do not understand how my data could be replicated so well. I have not tested this body to its limits, but I will not do so until I have found a space where such destruction as I was capable of will not have ill effects.

Does...any of you have some theory, for what may have allowed me to be revived this way?

[The feed opens on Wally's face, currently still in uniform. He doesn't look particularly pleased and is presently ignoring Elecmon, who he occasionally keeps pushing out of frame. He has more pressing concerns right now than those of his Digital Monster.]

Okay, let's cut to the chase (you know, which would be funnier if I had my speed): it'd be really great if someone could explain to me why I don't have my superspeed anymore. It's kinda hard to be Kid Flash without the flash, you know? Like, I get that I'm in some sort of alternate dimension or something, but I still had superspeed in that pocket dimension with Doctor Fate, so c'mon, what's the deal here.

It's seriously cramping my style, and I feel really weird. Well, I guess normal. Which is weird. For me. I don't feel like I have to eat every five seconds and it kinda feels like time is passing way too fast. Which probably sounds a bit backwards, but believe me, it's not. When you used to be able to run at the speed of sound, the rest of time passed by pretty slow.

So. Anyone? Any brilliant ideas? Already ruling out magic by default because it doesn't exist, so. Anything other than that would be helpful.
