Elecmon a person or digimon's value is not based on whether or not they have a companion. However, if Wally wishes to get you one, then he should help in that matter.

[While it's Monodramon's face on the screen, Shepard's shaking shoulders can be seen next to him. It seems they're sitting on the couch, and Shepard's laughter can be heard loud and clear. Monodramon is grinning, clearly pleased that his partner is laughing at a digimon he doesn't like.]

My commander says-- What was it, ma'am?

[It's hard to make out what Shepard is saying through her laughter, but Monodramon helpfully parrots it back.]

She says that if you have to pay for one, you probably shouldn't be calling them your girlfriend!
