[ Zidane's actually spent a couple days sneaking about and poking at things and getting a handle on what exactly the situation is around here... which normally would be easy except he happens to have a bright green monkey following him around. He feels as if someone... somehow... whatever vague aspect of fate who was in charge of picking partners out was having a good laugh over giving him Monmon as a partner.

But best not to dwell on that! There were other things to attend to! Suck as fooling around with the D-terminal thing. Once he figures out how to turn the video feed on at least. But hey! Eventually he gets the hang of it. Without ANY help from Monmon either. ]

Hey out there! This thing is pretty cool huh? I mean there's nothing like this where I'm from! Actually there's a lot things around here that's nothing like where I'm from. All these friendly monsters NOT trying to eat me and everyone's really super tall like Amarant is...

[ He trails off but then grins broadly. ]

Anyways! What I guess I'm trying to say is... can anyone help explain some of this digital stuff to me? All the explanations I get have been pretty vague...

[ Zidane sighs heavily while wagging a finger back and forth. ]

[ There's a sigh on the other line. ]

[ Oh my eidolons is this guy for real? ]

I feel this bears repeating but... you just don't get it, do you? To get the attention of a girl you of course need an innocent conversation starter!

We're stuck in this place, and that's your main concern.

Well my main concern is of course 'how do I get out of here?', but I can't do anything about that at the moment. I can, however, do something about the lack of cute girls surrounding me.

They're probably lacking for a reason.

[ His eyes widen. There is this whole world full of amazing and this guy has not left his ROOM. ]

Quick, what's your apartment number?

[ He will fiiiiind you. ]

[ Awkward pause. ]

You won't find any girls in my room.

Actually I'm planning on dragging you out of it and we can look for girls together.

So basically I'm just gonna have to go door to door until I find you, huh?

[ He heaves a big dramatic sigh. ]

You really shouldn't be so obstinate you know! It's not cute at all.

Then I suppose it's a good thing I'm not trying to be cute.

(If he knocks door to door trying to find me it'll somehow turn around on me I bet. )

[ He sighs a little. ]

Second floor. Room 008.

008? Grumpy! You're my next door neighbor! Isn't that great!

[ He turns his D-terminal off, however, less the a moment later you can prooobably hear a door slam shut alarmingly close by followed by a know at your own door a few seconds later. ]

... Perfect.

[ He sets his D-terminal to the side and sighs. Maybe... if he ignores the door]

We have a guest! Lets go greet them, Squall.

[ Stupid Digimon being polite. He stands up and it takes a few minutes before he finally goes to the front door and opens it. ]

[ By the time Squall opens the door, Zidane is slightly hunched over, a strange and slightly suspicious metal object that was definitely not a lock pick in his hand. This quickly disappears into his pouch and he greets Squall with a big grin. ]

There you are! I was beginning to think you weren't coming to the door.

. . . [ He stares down at Zidane. Man this kid is short. ]

A little patience helps.

[ He's average where he comes from! It's all you giants who are too tall! ]

I'll keep that in mind.

[ Grabbing your arm there Squall. ]

Now let's get going!

[ He doesn't budge from his spot at the door. ]

Which part of the digital stuff were you wondering about?

[ He's pretty sure this is a girl texting here. He's just got that feeling. ]

Well, what does it mean exactly? Monmon was trying to tell me it's like being in a computer, but I don't even know what a computer is!

A computer they way Monmon probably means it is a type of mechanical invention. The digital side is how that invention understands and stores and transmits information, using numbers that make a code which can be read by a different part of the machine. In a very, very simplified idea, you input information, and it outputs information. It's a lot like a mechanical version of a brain.

( Even if brains do much much more complex processes, it might make sense to someone with no grasp or understanding of the technology. )

[Oh ho ho, you can't fool Tsukaimon that easily, Zidane! He knows a fellow flirt when he sees one. Also he totally nabbed the D-terminal when Forte wasn't looking.]

Are ya SURE you don't mean pretty GIRLS, kiddo? [Have you ever seen a Digimon waggle its eyebrows knowingly before? Well you have now.] 'Cause I could totally hook you up with my partner's roommate here. She's somethin', lemme tell ya...

[Also he doesn't want to be the only one suffering Lucemon's overzealous protective side. Misery loves company!]

[ Zidane chuckles and nods in reply. You definitely can't pull the wool over the eyes of a fellow skirtchaser. ]

Really now? But why would a guy like you so willingly let someone else share the attentions of such flawless sounding beauty?

[ Is there... something he should know about? ]

Oh, she's flawless all right, but she's not really my type. Besides, I'm a Digimon, she's a human, it'd NEVER work out. So why not help out a kindred spirit, eh?
