[001 -- Video]
[For most, the face on the video feed today is probably an unfamiliar one, as it belongs to someone who arrived with the recent crowd of new Chosen. He addresses the camera casually, one hand resting in his pockets, shoulders slumped as he leans against the wall of a bricked building.]
All right, Digital World, as far as welcomes go, mine could have been worse. I'll rate it a good six out of ten, though this-- er, world-- has a long ways to go before it can improve that score. And whoever the heck brought us here needs to give us anti-theft devices for these communicators. Geez. . .
[He lets out a wry snort]
I deducted points for the bunny--
Elecmon!
-- I'm supposedly partnered with because he's kind of obnoxious.
Mr. Pot, meet Mr. Kettle.
And he isn't nearly as clever as he thinks it is. [After that, Kaito shoots Elecmon a pointed glance] Anyway, I doubt any of you guys care about my scoring criteria much. And the real reason I'm even using this thing is because I wanna know what progress you've made in finding an exit. I mean, some of you have been here a lot longer than I have, right? You've gotta have something by now.
[A beat]
Right?
Such stubborn denial is almost painful to watch. . .

I found a exit! I've found a lot of exits. They're everywhere if you look right, geko.
[video]
Ha! I knew it! Would you mind showing me one? This city is nice and all, but I need to get back to my Tokyo.
Re: [video]
[Guilmon turns the camera towards a window.] There's one!
[And a door.] And another, geko! And if you have crests sometimes you make your own exits and it's rainbows! It's really cool.
[video]
. . . close. But that's not quite what I meant.
Re: [video]
...Then what did you mean, geko?
[video]
Re: [video]
No, I dunno about that. You don't wanna leave right now though anyways. Something about the worlds imploding. I dunno what that means but it sounds really bad, geko.

And no partner refunds! Keheheh.

Maybe we just have to make our own exit.

And hostile-- uh, Digimon-- attacking the city isn't something Culumon or that Izumi guy thought to tell us immediately upon arrival? I'm hearing all of this information from people I meet on the streets, like it's just an afterthought.
video
Even if you are not fond of your partner, it's your only hope to stay alive in this twisted Tokyo. Mine is an annoying little prick, but I can't exactly throw him out in streets.
[Okay that made the Dracmon jump on her back, peeking over from her shoulder towards the feed. His expression never changes from that grin.]
Like you could!
video
[This is followed by a wry snort from Kaito]
Don't jinx yourself, Bunny.
[And then, back to Celes]
So is there some kind of defense team in place for when the city is attacked?
[Defenses against large-scale attacks aren't really his area of expertise (he's a teenager, not a war general), but it's always good to be informed of your options when things get dangerous]

From what I've seen it could be awhile. What do you have waiting for you back home?
no subject
School, work, my adoring fans. . . it's rude to drag a magician away from his scheduled performances, after all.
no subject
Well if you can't magic us a way out of here I guess you'll just have to beg their forgiveness.
Trust me, most of us aren't that happy to be here but it's been months and all we've been able to figure out is sometimes people randomly disappear. Maybe they're going home...maybe not.
no subject
[That was totally the last thing he wanted to hear]
Do the people who disappear leave any evidence behind when they go? Or do they just. . . vanish?
no subject
And considering there are these...glitches that make us do things against our will or change the environment, who knows if we can trust our own memories.

[Not even bothering to hide the sarcasm in his voice at this point]
Okay, you know what? I may have just arrived, but I'm writing a stupid welcome manual and leaving it in Culumon's room for the next batch of people who are dropped here. It'll include important information, like Digimon attacks and vast voids of nothingness and glitches.
It'll be so much more useful than that stupid welcome letter and beginner's guide.

[From offscreen, Elecmon snickers]
video;
Isn't that right, Elecmon?
video;
Exactly! See, the cute girl gets it, why can't you?
[Kaito sighs in resignation]
Sure, sure, take Bunny's side, why don't you.
video;
Rise already told you that Elecmon is not a bunny.
video;
It's no use, my friend. His head is just too thick for him to understand.
Oi!
