[When the feed comes on, Hawkmon's face is extremely close to the screen. There's...Is that music in the background. The bird Digimon sits back a little bit and holds a feather to his beak with a wink.

Things shift around, the scene of the bedroom Hawkmon shares with Marley passing by rather dizzily until what could only be the living room comes into view. The music, now easily made out to be just one person singing, can be heard clearly, and when the D-Terminal finally focuses on a single point...

That's Marley...dancing and singing on the couch.]

Tonight's the night, let's live it up
I got my money, let's spend it up
Go out and smash it like oh my God
Jump off that sofa, [It's here that she actually jumps off the couch and continues to dance.] let's get, get off!

I know that we'll have a ball
If we get down and go out and just lose it all
I feel stressed out, I wanna let it go
Let's go way out spaced out and losing all contr-- HAWKMON!

[Uh oh! He's been spotted! Rushed, the D-Terminal is shut off right as Marley comes running up.]

Oh, well, it's like choir, except we sing AND dance. And we compete with other glee clubs, too. We are given a theme for the week, and we have to perform songs based on that theme.

That really does sound like fun. Back home, until recently I was taught by tutors and teachers on the set or at the apartment I was staying.

Not that I didn't get to sing and dance. [ She did that everyday too. Except for work. And the competition with the other girls in the idol business is tough. ]

Since it is a club, you must have had a lot of friends.

[She had tutors...and a set?]

Are you a professional, then? I mean, you perform for a liv--

[The next question gets Marley to stop. She smiles, though it's small and somewhat sad.]

Actually, the only friends I have are the ones in the club, and there's not many of us. Just enough to let us compete. Glee club...isn't really all that popular at school.

Is that so?

[ She didn't know that. Then again, she didn't belong to a glee club. She didn't think there was even a glee club in their school either. Not that she could join. She wanted to help catch the psycho that was killing people back home. ]

I guess you guys have to change that.

They tried. When they won Nationals last year, they were popular, but after I joined, the football team and the cheerleaders um...they made it to where we weren't anymore.

[Slushie to the face will do something to a group's image.]

It? What it? What did they do?

...They threw slushies in my face and my friend's face.

[You asked...]

What?! [ Shock. ]

You've got to be kidding. How could anyone be that cruel?

[Marley shrugs, her eyes downcast.]

It's just the how the social ladder works in high school. You're either popular or you're not.

[ Rise is popular because she was an ex-idol, but she still experienced teachers that hate her or even other students. ]

I'm sorry for bringing it up, Marley ...

[Marley glances at the D-Terminal screen and her lips turn up in a small smile. She gives a gentle shake of her head.]

It's okay. It's just the way things are. I try not to let it bother me so much because...well, I still have fun with the Glee Club, so they're not stopping me from enjoying what I love to do.

You're really brave ...

[ The few people she didn't like didn't ruin something she loved doing for her. Rise was ashamed to say that she wasn't like that. Because she couldn't stand some people in the business of being an idol ... she decided to quit even though she clearly still loved it. ]

[Brave? No, she's not brave. If she were brave, she wouldn't have let herself get so distraught and stressed that she now has to see a therapist because of an eating disorder. Rise doesn't need to know THAT much, but she'll still shake her head slowly.]

Me? I'm not brave. My friend Unique is brave. So much braver than I am...
