The video blinks to life and shows Rise looking worried. Worried girlfriend is worried. It wasn't everyday that a girl turned sixteen, but she couldn't find her boyfriend the person she expected to spend the day with.

Did he forget?

Was he busy?

~~... did he forget?!~~

And what's more ... she couldn't find him anywhere. He wasn't at his apartment or the arcade or in the places he usually liked to eat. And it was really sad because she took a day off just for today.

She turns to the network for any sign of Wally. Someone had to have seen him, right? }

Hey, has anybody seen Wally? I've ... looked for him everywhere. I can't find him.

It's my birthday you see ... [ ~~and she'd really like to see him.~~ ]

---ah! Kanji, I need your help! It is an emergency!

Kanji! [ She leaped to give him a hug. ]

[It's a good thing he's a really huge guy, otherwise the hug would have bowled him over. Then again, the enthusiasm almost does that already. But he pats her awkwardly on the back anyway.]

'S nothin'. A-and if you want me to get your dress done for whatever you wanna do with your guy, I gotta get workin' right now.

[ Yes. Lucemon had decided to do a number on her date dress. It was torn almost into shreds.

Not that Rise knew that he did it. Lucemon told her it got damaged at the cleaners. With his angelic face, how could she doubt him?

She dragged him inside and showed him a a torn dress that used to look like this.]

A date! I-it's for a date! [ As soon as she could find him anyway. ]

[Watch the master in action, Rise. Salamon hands him his kit and Kanji does what he does best. He selects a thread that would blend in well with the color of the dress, threads it through the needle, sits his ass on the floor, turns the dress inside-out and gets to work. IT'S LIKE WATCHING ONE OF CHIE'S KUNG-FU MOVIES. EXCEPT WITH THREAD AND FABRIC!!]

[ What sorcery is this?! Rise watches Kanji in amazement as he did amazing and near impossible feats with his needle and thread ...

Rise knew he was good. He's seen evidence of his finished works, but this was the first time he's ever seen him really work.

This was weird ~~and Kanji was weird.~~ He was so good! He would probably put the costume production team in her agency to shame.

She is only staring in stunned silence for now. ]

[Expert or not, dresses... take time and a lot of effort. Especially one like this. They're more delicate than casual clothing and Kanji really has to concentrate on getting everything together without letting the stitches show from the other side. Which is why he flips it every so often to make sure the seams and stitches are invisible.

He goes on for... well. A while. In fact, Salamon falls asleep next to him. Aaaawww.

But when he's finally done, snipping off the thread, turning the dress over and viewing his handiwork from the right side, he thinks it's okay.]

There. It ain't much, but it'd hold for your date.

But you gotta be careful this time, 'cause I dunno how it'd hold up with too many stitches in it if you call me for another emergency.

[ Not surprisingly, Rise sort of fell asleep on the floor too. She was not the most patient of people. Earlier, she had played a bit with Salamon but both fell asleep.

She only woke up again when Kanji finally spoke for the first time he started sewing. It seems that when Kanji concentrates, he really concentrates. It was impressive! But Rise felt useless and didn't like just standing around idle.

She yawned and stretched her arms. ]

Kanji, are you --- [ Gasps. ]

[ Reaching to touch it. It was really great. She tried inspecting it, but it was really well made. She couldn't even see the stitching at all. ]

Kanji, you're just a wizard with a needle and thread, aren't you?

W-wha...? [Ugh no compliments, he's so horrible at accepting them, even from friends.]

[ She pressed the dress in front of her and admired how she looked in front of the mirror.

[Salamon prods him in the knee.]

Come on you two, cut it out!

[ But, Kanji! It is too much fun!

Rise laughs and turns to Salamon. ] Look, Salamon! He is blushing. Isn't that cute?
