[the post opens to Terriermon setting up the D-T. She taps her chin for a moment before speaking.]

So I’ve been thinking of doing something new with my ears.

[She holds them up, twisting them up into a bun, then huffing and pulling them back like a ponytail]

But I don’t like not having them free encase I need to glide. Ugh, it’s so frustrating. I mean, I’m the only Terriermon around here for NOW, but who knows how that’ll last. A girl needs to be able to stand out.

Oh, maybe an accessory would be better? A scarf or bow… no, no ribbons are too childish! I need jewelry. Neku! Hey come’er

[Neku ambles on screen, looking exasperated]

What color do you think I’d look good in? What goes good with green?

…how the hell should I know? If I never have to think of fashion again it’ll be too soon.

[Digivice out, and in a flash she’s BlackGatomon. She poses in front of the screen a little, swaying hips and lashing tail]

So, yeah, a queen cat like me needs jewelry. But silver or gold is the real question.

[...Well, that's not normal. The look of surprise on Marley's face is a dead give away.]

H-Hawkmon, are you okay? [She flashes an apologetic smile towards the D-Terminal.] I-I'm sorry! I don't know what's gotten into--

Give me that! [The device is taken with a call of protest, showing Hawkmon glaring at the screen.] Who are you? What do you want?

[Terri blinks in surprise, and while she noticed Marley's look her pride overrides concern. She puffs up, tail lashing.]

Rude! You better back off, Turkeymon!

H-Hawkmon? Can I have my D-Terminal ba--?

Who are you calling "Turkeymon", you overgrown house cat?

[Guess that's a no. Marley sighs off screen, drawing the bird Digimon's attention away for a moment.]

Oh, am I bothering you, Your Highness? Thinking you're so high and mighty because you can sing. Newsflash! No one wants to listen to you!

[She starts cat-growling, her tail practically a pendulum]

You better hope I don't see you face to face, 'cuz I'm gonna tear into your feather-y as-

Terri stop! You're not helping!

[Neku muscles onscreen, looking worried. He doesn't know Marley or her partner well, but a digimon with this kinda attitude would be something he would've noticed on the network]

Marley, are you okay?

Hawkmon, what are you--

[Marley manages to wrestle the D-Terminal away from Hawkmon, briefly showing her eyes watering before the scene changes. She's in the bathroom now, the door slamming shut and being quickly locked.]

I-I don't know what's-- He's never like that!

[She leans against the wall and slides down to sit on the floor.]

[Neku looks frantic for a moment, he just can't handle crying girls. He also has to wonder if... can digimon go rabid?!]

Hold on, I'm coming over there.

[He scoops up Terri, warning her to not start anything under his breath before shutting off the feed]

[Marley takes in a deep breath and nods. When the feed turns off, she sends a quick text.]

[And a good thing too, since it save Neku time going to the bottom floor directory. He doesn't bother knocking: if she had roommates in right now they should've been on the feed earlier]

Marley? Hawkmon?

[A bedroom door slams shut and is locked quickly. Seems that Hawkmon has decided to hide away in Marley's room. The bathroom door does open, though. Marley steps out, wiping her eyes as she tucks her D-Terminal away.]

H-Hey...

[She offers a small smile as she wraps her arms around her.]

[Neku puts his partner down]

Watch the door. If he comes out keep him there. DON'T start anything.

[Terri huffs but moves over there to watch. Meanwhile Neku moves over to Marley, offering an awkward shoulder pat]

You alright?

[Marley starts to nod, but shrugs off the hand on her shoulder instead. She frowns, shooting Neku with a glare before she seems to relax...if only a little.]

I'm fine. He's just a fricken jerk.

[Neku's eyes widen a bit, but he brushes it off: honestly it's how HE'D react]

You said he's not normally like this though, yeah?

No. Normally he's supportive, but now he's just a giant pain in the--

I DARE YOU TO FINISH THAT SENTENCE!

[Marley whips her head around to look towards the still closed bedroom door.]

CAN IT, YOU FEATHER DUSTER!

[She pouts some, still obviously mad.]

Jerk...

[Whooooa, Neku feels like he walked into something he shouldn't have, and he side glances at his partner, who is still pretty pissy herself]

Come on.... yelling won't help...

Oh, what do you know?

[Marley blinks, perhaps having realized what she just said. Her eyes go wide, and she slowly start backing up towards the bathroom.]

I'm sorry. I don't know...I'm not like that, I promise...

[THAT makes the dots connect in Neku's head- after the glitching that made the digimon change forms, and the rabid Beemon, it's not a leap to think the Digital World could affect behavior.

...or she's just over emotional. But the swings seem too convenient with her partner's]

Marley, it's okay... I think something is going on, so you need to stay calm, okay?

HA! GOOD LUCK WITH THAT! SHE'S SUCH A WRECK! CAN'T EVEN KEEP HER HEAD IN THE GAME! EVERY TIME SOMETHING HAPPENS, SHE JUST MAKES HERSELF SICK AND--

[...And this is Marley locking herself back up in the bathroom...]

[Terri starts to growl through the door, only for Neku to pick her up by the scruff.]

[He puts her down next to the bathroom... and at once her tone changes. She purrs and starts rubbing on the door]

Marley~ Can I come in? ♪♫

[Meanwhile Neku bangs on the bedroom door]

Yo, open up.

[There's a moment's hesitation before both sets of doors open simultaneously. Hawkmon steps outside to glare up at Neku, while Marley remains hidden from view at first.]

What do you want?

[Marley peeks her head out briefly before going back to sitting against the wall across from the commode.]
