themainframe | 1st Transmission [Video]

[The screen flickers a bit before static pops up. The static slowly clears until the image of a pair of brown eyes with a purple bandana wrapped around it appears, a few locks of brown hair over the mast. The screen moves in a few directions before beuing oulled back and revealing the full face of the teenage boy holding it.]

Hmm... It looks like I was able to get some kind of video feed working.

[A small bluish-green turtle pops up next to the boy, a yellow ball inside it's plastron and a blue helmet covering the top of it's head.]

Really? That's great Donnie! That means that anyone else with a D-Terminal can see you!

I figured as much Kamemon. Hmm... Now if only I could figure out if this can send a video back to my world. Or at least see if someone can explain to me how the heck I got here and how the heck I got turned into a human.

Why? You don't like being a human? Sooo... What were you before?

[Sighs] As I tried to explain to you before, I was a turtle like you... well sort of anyways. But now I'm human and I ended up being sent into some weird world that is nothing like New York, and I have no way of figuring out how to get home! It's just too confusing!

[The screen shakes a bit due to Donnie freaking out, causing the D-Terminal to shake a bit. It quickly settles back down once Kamemon steadie's Donnie's arms]

Whoa, whoa Donnie, chill! Freaking out is just going to mess you up.. Just take a deep breath Donnie, deep breath.

[The screen shows Donnie taking a huge deep breath before his facial features relax.]

Okay, okay, feeling calm now. Still confused, but calm.

There you go! Sorry guys, Donnie can... over-react sometimes. But don;t worry, he's not a bad guy... usually.

It would explain a few things. And I've discussed the multiverse theory with another already. Besides, we are already in one alternate reality...it is not to much of a stretch to imagine worlds beyond it.

[He won't go into details about who he had discussed it with since it would call for a long, overly involved story. Still, it was the theory he was going with.]

[Kaldur does not seem bothered by the nickname. Seriously, it will take more than that to set him off.]

Hello Kamemon. It is all right, my own partner is worse in some ways.

So I'm not the only one who came up with that theory... Hmm...

Oh. who's your partner? Maybe I know him!

[Donnie shook his head in slight amusement at Kamemon's curiosity, reminded him of his brother Mikey. His brother... Donnie pushed it to the back of his mind, he couldn't worry about his family now. They'd be fine until eh got back home.]

Well, at the time it was the only explanation that made sense.

[Perhaps he should arrange a meeting. He looks down.]

Gizamon. Do you wish to introduce yourself?

[From off screen a voice replies.]

I'm not going to hate them am I?

[Kaldur frowns.]

Gizamon, you should at least attempt to be polite.

[Kaldur adjusts the scree and reveals Gizamon, she's squatting on the ground looking grumpy.]

Hi. I'm Gizamon.

Wow, she looks grum-mph!

[Donnie covered Kamemon's mouth before he could say something insulting.]

It's nice to meet you Gizamon, I'm Donnie and this is Kamemon. [He lets go of his Digimon] Now are you ready to quit being rude?

FIne, fine. Party pooper. [Waves] Hi there.

[Kaldur shakes his head.]

They will tend to speak their minds. I am starting to wonder if Digimon have some inability to filter between their thoughts and what they say.

[Because honestly this is not the first and he doubts it will be the last.]

What? You don't want me being honest?

This is less a matter of honesty and more a matter of...diplomacy.

Well, you handle that. I'll handle the honesty and make sure we don't talk to any more dumb people or digimon like that Gomamon from earlier.

[Kaldur rolls his eyes heavenward. It's a loosing battle honestly.]

I noticed that they like to speak they're mind very quickly...

It can be when your not trying to get someone else mad or annoyed at you. Your as bad as Raph.

Oh... [Glares at Gizamon] Hey, are you implying that I'm dumb?

[Gizamon snorts.]

That's yet to be seen. Bu--[She pauses catches at look from Kaldur.]Bud.

[She'd been about to call him Buckethead. So maybe she IS learning.]

I would just recommend taking everything they say with some patience.

After living with only my brothers in a sewer, being patient with what people say isn't too much trouble.

Then how come you always get annoyed with it?

Do you have to question everything I say Kamemon?

[Donnie glares at his Digimon, while Kamemon just gives an amused smile]

You lived in a sewer? Why on earth would you want to do that?

Gizamon, it's not your place to ask.

What? You can't tell me that's NORMAL. I don't care if he was a turtle.

[Sighs] Here we go again...

It's okay, I've explained a few times now. To make it simple, my brothers and I used to be normal turtles until the man who bought us at a pet store got hit with an alien chemical. he became a mutant rat and my brothers and I became more human. Since this would freak everyone else, the giant rat, Master Splinter, took us to the sewer to hide us and he adopted us as his sons.

[Perhaps Kaldur shouldn't be as surprised by the story as he is, given what all he has seen, but nope he's still surprised.]

I see. I can understand that to some degree. For awhile there was unrest in my home by purists who believed that those with visibly aquatic features such as fins or tentacles should be driven out. It cannot be easy being different.

It's not, my brother tried meeting a human twice, and both times it went bad. But we did meet at least one person who accepted us.

Yeah, his girlfriend.

Kamemon, for the millionth time she isn't my girlfriend! [Clears throat to clam himself.] sorry, Kamemon likes to say things that he shouldn't.

[Slight smile, gee where has Kaldur heard such things before. Oh right, he's on a team full of teenagers.]

Yes. Well, I am glad you found one human to accept you. There are more out that, I assure you...they just might be harder to find.

Yeah, and I guess we never get much of a chance to find anyone who would accept us. Hopefully we'll find some other people one day.

It will happen. After all, there are billions of people out there. []Pause.] And, given our current situation, apparently even more than that.

Yeah, that is true, SO far the people I've met haven't been too horribly freaked out when I tell them that I was a mutant turtle. That was a huge relief.

I am friends with a boy who has squid-like features, not to mention the various other Atlanteans with fins, scales, and tentacles. It is not so strange to me.

I see, I guess hearing about a mutant turtle wouldn't be very shocking to you then. Thanks for understanding Kaldur.
