V-03 [video] | A Proposal
[Kaldur begins the video outside again. He appears to be in one of the public training areas. Gizamon isn't too be seen which probably means she's holding the D-Terminal to broadcast.]
I suppose those of us who have been here for some time are starting to become accustomed to the occasional earthquakes that herald the arrival of new chosen. Before I begin my original intent for this message, I would first like to welcome you to the Digital World. I am sure Koushirou has given his usual greeting and that you are still adjusting to the changes of being in a new world...but suffice to say it will not always be so welcoming.
[From offscreen a rough female voice berates him.] Ugh, Kaldur, just get to the point!
Right. I believe a suggestion has been made before regarding this matter, but I would like to again propose either combat training or even just team building between not just yourself and your partner but amongst all of us. Many of you were not here when we rescued Taichi or the Beemon attack, but those events were hard fought. We succeeded, true, but it would not hurt to work on becoming better prepared to handle such incidents...especially if we are going to have to work together to achieve whatever our destiny might have in store for us.
There are many of us and we can be a great force if we start working together. Teams are not forged overnight and if we are thrown into battles like the Beemon attack or even the Dark Area again without the right preparation...it may spell the end for us.
[There's a huff from offscreen.] Why do you have to make things so complicated? [Gizamon turns the D-Terminal to face her, she's scowling but that's her usual expression.] What Kaldur is trying to say is that we're going to start some battle sessions and training in these arenas that are for public use. A lot of you guys are newbs and haven't even evolved yet so you especially need some serious help. But, even if you have, Kaldur thinks we need to work more on teamwork or something so we don't get overrun next time a hoard of digimon stomp through here. I'm still trying to convince him to let us go out into the wild though and fight actual digimon there.
But anyway, start showing up early in the morning and Kaldur has some strategies and stuff he's learned from his team to work with you on...or something. Sound good?
[She turns the D-Terminal back to Kaldur who just nods. He realizes he was probably a bit too formal but he can't help himself sometimes.]

What sort of details are you looking for? I can say that we received enough forewarning to prepare to some degree but I do not feel we will be so lucky in the future.

As for the digimon that fought us when we went to rescue Taichi, they were called Devimon. There were four of them and each had a different fighting style and they were extremely powerful...able to turn back or brush off most of our attacks, even after evolution occurred. Unfortunately, we were not able to defeat them and had to retreat as soon as we had Taichi and the others that went in after them.

Re: [video]
[After all, there has to be a bigger picture or someone in the shadows making all of this happen. There always is in his experience.]
That is evolution exactly. Most of the digimon partners you meet are at what is called the Rookie level. However, there are wild digimon out there of greater levels such as Armor, Champion, and Ultimate. Our partner digimon can also reach these levels as we gain experience and develop trust in each other.

Thank you. I only want to make sure that when this is all over we can all return to our homes in one piece.

My goal is to hopefully get better ideas of what people's capabilities are and, in the future, assign tasks accordingly. We will be able to handle a threat more efficiently that way.

[ She can't help but admire him for what he was doing. He was obviously already thinking about the future. Something she has thought of too, but didn't know what to do.
Yu-sempai was a leader too. But it looked like Kaldurcould be better at it though because he looked like he had more experience. ]

Thank you.
I will do my best to help all of us, I can only hope it works out.
no subject
And I'm sure it will be fine somehow.
[ Does that voice sound ... hopeful? ]
no subject
[He's certainly hopeful. He knows that teamwork is the solution anyway.]
[His ears droop, and he scratches his cheek.]
What if we don't have our partners here with us? Guilmon still wants to help everybody fight, but it's a lot harder with out Takato or cards to make me stronger. Can Digimon like Guilmon still come to training? I've fought lots of dangerous Digimon before, so I can still try to help!
So, yes, please feel free to come by.
[Though, hmm, this does raise an important question.]
What kind of things do you think Guilmon should focus on? There's a lot I could talk about!
You could share stories about your experience in battles in the past, perhaps advice to other partner digimon. And I believe help in sparring would not hurt either if you are up to it.
Perhaps you have some ideas yourself.
[He emphasizes this strength by stretching really tall and slashing his claws... before losing his balance and falling on his rump. Oops.]
Um... I'd talk about cards, but I don't know if your Digivices work with them. Takato would sometimes slash cards through his Digivice to make me stronger in fights!
[Kaldur held up his Digivice, also examining it.]
I do not see a slot where cards would be used nor have I seen anyone mentioning even having cards provided. I imagine that means the cards would not be compatible with this particular digivice.
[But he is now even more curious about these other digivices out there. Perhaps another time though. He decides to focus on evolution.]
Biomerging? Could you explain that more Guilmon?
[It's allowed him to take on Champion level Digimon without evolving. That's always a plus.]
But I wonder why your Digivice is different... All the Tamers I know can use cards to help their partners. And Biomerging's when we evolve with our partners to the Mega level!
[Yes, with their partners. You heard that right.]
It sounds like it boils down to factors that determine any fight: team work, strategy, tools, and experience. I'm not sure why the digivices are different, perhaps one of the other chosen would have a better answer for it.
[Frankly, he didn't think it was that strange, but it's all he's really known up until this point. This other Digital World and its brand of logic differs considerably. Still takes some getting used to, really.]

I think you're right. [And, it's time that she learned how to fight in this world.] Count me in.

I will see you there then.

However, from what I have heard from those that did go into the area, it was completely dark. No light was able to penetrate through it and the longer they stayed in there the more injuries they sustained. You would probably do better to ask those who experienced. We were there to rescue Taichi, and the others that experienced it are Hiccup, Ed, and Elec Man.
But...they might hesitate, I understand it was traumatic for them.
no subject
I see. I'll try not to cause too much trouble for any of them. [If it was anything like the Realm of Darkness, then she understands the hesitation.]
no subject
[He might not know them as well as some other people here, but he still considers them friends and he wants to make sure they don't have to suffer too much trauma from just the memories of it.]
