Seventh Blade (Voice/Backdated to the 15th because Jess changes plans at the last minute.)

Ah, I'm afraid I'm going to be a little late to pay a visit to our mysteriously appearing castle. I've managed to overdo it somewhat in my training and...well, it's nothing serious, but I wouldn't say I'm exactly in the best condition to be in a dangerous situation at the moment.

What he means is, he sprained his ankle a few days ago and can still barely walk.

I've already told you, it's nothing to worry about. I just need to be careful for a little while longer, that's all. I'll be along as quickly as I can, but until then, you'll have to do your digging without me. But I would appreciate it if anyone who has the time fills me in on what I've missed. I'll keep an eye on this post until I get there, so don't worry if it takes a few days to find anything worthwhile.

And by the way...am I the only one who noticed that there were no new Chosen this month?

Yes, I already took care of that. I'm no doctor, but I have had to deal with giving first aid the old fashioned way more than once in the past.

[There's a sudden shift in video and suddenly Hawkmon is in control of the D-Terminal with Marley protesting in the background.]

Okay, she's already hurt enough and she's going to hurt herself more if she tries to help you, and she's going to keep trying to help you if you don't settle down somewhere until you're better. So I'm asking you to keep off your foot now, okay?

[Protective partner is protective...and trying to make up for the Dark Field incident...]

Marley, if you're injured, you should rest. You're young, still developing. Do you really want to risk crippling your potential by pushing an injury at this point?

If I need something that's beyond my current capabilities, I'm sure Yukito would be more than willing to help.

You bet I would! And don't worry about ice, I've got that covered.

[The video is shifted some to show Marley sitting on her bed with one leg stretched out in front of her, her knee covered by an ice pack. The other is curled up under her. She doesn't look happy but she sighs and nods. ]

Good. I don't want to hear anything about you injuring yourself further, do you understand?

[The video moves back to Hawkmon, who looks rather satisfied. ]

I should have called you before. She apparently listens to you better than anyone else.

Well, it's handled now, anyway.

Now if only we could find someone Jin would listen to...

A sprain is close enough! If you don't take care of it, you'll just make it worse. So don't make us tie you down so you can stay off it. Or I could always get you the crutches I was planning to get Marley.

[A glimpse of Marley in the background shows her covering her face with her hands. Hawkmon, why are you embarrassing her like this?!]

I can keep my weight off of it well enough on my own, I assure you.

Yeah, and Marley doesn't make a habit of running herself down to prove a point.

It would difficult not to notice. I wonder what it means that there weren't any new Chosen arriving.

[There's a short pause that could be taken as him musing on the subject, but it's actually just Aizen changing gears.]

I do hope that you're taking care of your injury and not walking on it. Causing more damage to it by pushing yourself won't help anyone, especially those who have left to investigate that castle.

Hey Captain, weren't you the one practicing with your sword when your arms were still snappy-snapped badly and your--mmph!

Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. This is a relatively minor injury and I would be rather foolish to let something like this cripple me.

But Jin, you've only been resting when I-mphr!

Yukito, please. It's not the first time I've been injured, really.

I merely wanted to check to make sure that you were taking care of it properly. I recommend that you do try to be more careful training in the future. We wouldn't want you to be injured during another attack on the city, after all.

[There's muffled noises of complaint from Keramon in the background, but it doesn't seem like Aizen's going to uncover his mouth to actually let him speak.]

And it would be for the best to do so before the children here notice and decide to follow your example.

Things of this nature will happen less in the future. I'm just still getting used to my new limits. I have, after all, spent half my lifetime with enhanced physical capabilities. I'm sure you know how it is with habit.

But regardless, I'll be fine. And I'll do my best to make certain the children know better than to overexert themselves, as well.

[The backdrop? A forest. Looks like she's in the middle of traveling to the Castle. She's a bit tired, or she'd comment on his injury...that, and Terra doesn't quite know Jin.]

Not the only one, no. No earthquake that usually comes with 'em either.

*Nope, no video here. Makes it harder to hide that he isn't in bed.*

It's odd, isn't it? I was one of the first to arrive here, and this is the first time I've seen the beginning of the month come without the earthquake and new arrivals. I wonder if it's connected to that castle...?

[WELL FINE she'll be stubborn though.]

I wish you luck. Just try not to make all the big discoveries without me, I'd be rather embarrassed if I got there and didn't have anything to do.
