August Jobs!

Greetings, Citizens of Terminal Tokyo! This is your local Trailmon Job Agency doing its monthly rounds! We've a lot of jobs to fill and more people than normal. Hope none o' you youngins were out here for a vacation! Man-- I remember the good old days of running free, yes ma'am. Now my gears are all rustin' and it's a hard to get on chuggin'-- but never you mind all that!

Since there's a lot of new folk around here I best get'ta explaining, yeah? Beginning of the month or so we post a bunch of jobs. We Trailmon spend a while setting 'em all up nice and organized for you lot.

All ya gotta do is sign up to do it. Remember there's limited spaces for each, so don't be riding the slow'mon about it!

[[OOC MECHANICS: This is how it will work (we'll be doing it similar to

gargleblasted). Each number needed will be listed and it's first come first serve. Each character is allowed ONE (1) job, so please don't go signing up for more than that.

To get the job all you have to do is respond! SIGN UPS CAN BE FOUND HERE! Please respond with the CHARACTER JOURNAL of the character you wish to sign up with!

This is where all interactions will be taking place. There is a section for each job, and you will be allowed to set up further things as you like in terms of dates and times and who you will talk to.]]

[If you happen to walk into the ice cream shop on a day Arcee's working, you'll be pleased to know her habit of yelling at customers has dwindled down some. No, she still gets mad at people who refuse to finish their frozen treats, but lately she's just been too tired to care. It wouldn't be out of the question to find her half asleep at the counter.

It's not laziness, honest. She's just been training. A lot. And not just her Digimon, oh no, her schedule lately was changed to include personal training for herself. Arcee has always been a muscular lady, and as such strong by human standards. But...human standards aren't Cybertronian standards and she's been craving more.

As one can guess where I'm going with this, she's been pushing herself too hard. Thankfully it isn't killing her work too much, she still has Sprocket to cover for her when she falls. ...Not literally, of course. I said she's only half asleep, she hasn't completely lost it yet.]

[Oh Arcee, you need to rest more. Bulk's certainly noticed the tiredness, specially when they're training.]

Hey Arcee! Heads up!

[He's also noticed her leaning on the counter looking tired, during one of the times not many customers are coming in. So he's sliding a cup her way on the counter, with two scoops of a blue and pink ice cream, and a spoon of course. Maybe a sweet treat will help perk her up.]

[Well it certainly grabs her attention, that's for sure. She looks at the cup, then up at Bulk, then back at the cup. She can see what he's doing, the colors sort of give it away, and the gesture doesn't go ignored.]

What's the occasion?

[Of course she says this as she scoops it into her mouth. She's a graceful eater.]

I'm not paying for that!

Nah, I'm payin' for it.

[Of course he's paying for it, Frigimon wouldn't appreciate him not paying. But he's got his own cup of rocky road as he moves to the counter.]

No reason. Ya just, I dunno, looked like ya could use a little cheerin' up. [He points at hers with his spoon.] Plus, thought it was cool that one looked like yer colors. [He scoops some rocky road into his mouth.]

Her colors?

Yeah, she was blue with a bits of pink when she was a bot.

[She holds her spoon out like she's making some sort of point.]

FYI, they're still my colors. I think I've been doing a pretty good job keeping the blue and pink theme going.

[The spoon goes back into her mouth.]

...Could probably use more pink. Everything's so gaudy, though...

Since when were you a fashionista?!

Hey, there's no rule that says you can't look good and kick aft at the same time. Not my fault no one else has figured that out yet.

[He holds his hands up a little.]

Okay, still yer colors. But yeah, you been doin' a good job on keepin' it goin'.

[Now it's his turn to wave his spoon at her.]

Hey hey, you try findin' green clothes that ain't bright green. It's like nobody here likes dark green or somethin'. Have manage ta find some, though.

[His voice is light though, yay for banter.]

[Banter is good. It keeps her mind off of how tired she is.]

You know, I've noticed organics in general have a weird attraction to bright colors. I'll never understand it, makes you an easy target.

[She takes another bite of this ice cream. Dear Primus, it's good.]

We'll have to start our own line of human clothing one day, Bulk. Leave it to a different race to tell you what looks good.

[Wheeljack's noticed Arcee's been slipping a little. He couldn't blame her, either. He wasn't exactly pleased with his own strength at the moment, either. Not that he'd lecture her on getting more rest--because honestly, he'd probably hate that himself. But that didn't mean he couldn't check in.

He slides next to Arcee, holding a small cup of ice cream. Did he buy it? No. But it wasn't going to eat itself if a customer left it.

His 'chewing' slows as he glances at her starting to nod off.]

Hey. You hangin' in there?

[She gives him a quick glance as she currently props her head up with her arm as it rests on the counter.]

Barely. Why?

[WHAT'S IT TO YOU?]

I just want this shift to be over.

[There's a soft smirk at that answer.]

What, I need a reason to ask?

Just that you've been burnin' both ends of the fuse lately.

Well what do you expect? This world wants me to be in both tip top fighting condition AND able to make enough currency to keep myself and a tiny animal alive. Not to mention they force us into bodies that get tired pretty fragging easy.

Yeah, there's gonna be a problem with that.

Won't argue against that.

[While not as vigorous in his training as Arcee was, he still kept a decent schedule, at least to burn off the extra energy. And he STILL found himself dragging at the end of the day.

Human bodies just weren't meant for their standards, sometimes.]

Place isn't very accomodatin', is it. Drags us here then tells us to get a job and save the world. Polite.

[He looks down at his ice cream a moment, before extending it out to her slowly. Testing the waters.]

[An eyebrow is raised.]

Sharing, Wheeljack? What did I do to deserve such an honor?

[That smirk widens, tapping it once more towards her.]

Hey, I'm a giver.

[A soft laugh follows.]

C'mon, you deserve it.

[She takes it and quickly scoops a bite into her mouth, still eying him a little. Why are you so difficult to figure out, Jackie?]

So what? Is this the part where you tell me you spit in it?

[He even surprises himself sometimes. You're definitely not outside the norm.]

I guess it would be, if I did it.

[He takes a little bit out of the cup himself with his spoon, putting it into his own mouth.]

Sorry if I got your hopes up.

Trust me, last thing I want is your spit in my mouth. Primus only knows what's been in there...

[She eats more anyway, because she's a rebel.]

I'd be surprised if you even knew what brushing your teeth meant.

If I had to guess, I'd say an apple, burgers, ice cream, a little beer, pancakes, candy, and a...salad.

[His face scrunches up at that last one. Obviously not a favourite.]

Believe me, I'm not a fan of it. Humans have way too much maintenance.

At least you're capable of keeping up with it.

[She takes another bite before she's suddenly reminded of her tired state, giving off a yawn.]

Let's see if I can tonight...

If I don't, princess over there--[He nods to You, who's cleaning a table]--won't leave me alone.

[He gives her a little pat on the back, straightening up a bit.]

Maybe you oughta power down early tonight.

I got stuff I need to do first.

[She gives a weak smile.]

But once it's all done, I'm curling up in bed and never coming out.

[Or at least until morning.

Sprocket looks over to You, who is in fact cleaning a table. His ears perk up at what Wheeljack had said.]

She can be my princess~

[With that smirk, he gives a nod back going to throw his spoon away.]

Enjoy it. And hey, at least ya won't be disturbed in your new pad.

[His gaze turns to Sprocket, then to You. And back to Sprocket.]

Can't say I'm surprised, with the way you're starin'.

[Wheeljack's strange kindness is, well, strange. ...But not unwelcome. Maybe it's just because she's too tired to put on her usual "too tuff" act, but her smile does show that she appreciates it.]

Ever have a place to yourself before?

[It's been a rough couple of weeks for both. A little kindness he doesn't mind giving. He gives a soft smile back, cleaning the glass on the ice cream bin.]

You could say that. Jackhammer and I flew across space for quite some time. Guess it's not exactly home, though.

{That made all the difference.]

[She gives a little chuckle of her own, then looks down.]

You know, it's funny because it's still more than me. I have no idea what to do with this place.
