Greetings, Citizens of Terminal Tokyo! This is your local Trailmon Job Agency doing its monthly rounds! We've a lot of jobs to fill and more people than normal. Hope none o' you youngins were out here for a vacation! Man-- I remember the good old days of running free, yes ma'am. Now my gears are all rustin' and it's a hard to get on chuggin'-- but never you mind all that!

Since there's a lot of new folk around here I best get'ta explaining, yeah? Beginning of the month or so we post a bunch of jobs. We Trailmon spend a while setting 'em all up nice and organized for you lot.

All ya gotta do is sign up to do it. Remember there's limited spaces for each, so don't be riding the slow'mon about it!

[[OOC MECHANICS: This is how it will work (we'll be doing it similar to gargleblasted). Each number needed will be listed and it's first come first serve. Each character is allowed ONE (1) job, so please don't go signing up for more than that.

To get the job all you have to do is respond! SIGN UPS CAN BE FOUND HERE! Please respond with the CHARACTER JOURNAL of the character you wish to sign up with!

This is where all interactions will be taking place. There is a section for each job, and you will be allowed to set up further things as you like in terms of dates and times and who you will talk to.]]

[He looks up from his steak, which is half eaten by now.]

[She nods once, still smiling though it's more of a gentle one than the bright grin she sported before.]

Do you need anything? A drink or something else? I can go get it for you.

[He shakes his head.]

I'm good. Thanks.

You look like you're enjoying this.

[wall_flower]

I am. I really like working like this, making people smile. It's nice.

It is?

[Lopmon just looks at Kovu and shakes his head. This guy really didn't learn anything growing up, did he? But after living a life like that...

Lopmon frowns behind his milkshake, then drinks more of it through his straw.]

Well, to me it is. I like seeing people smile, and I like making people smile.

[Yup, you too, you stubborn lion.]

...Why?

[This time Lopmon just smacks his forehead.]

Kovu, would you rather have someone like you, or hate you?

[The Digimon thinks this is kind of obvious.]

I-It's okay! Umm...well, seeing people smile...it means they're happy. Or they're trying to be. And I'd much rather make someone happy than sad or mad...

[She's had both happen, and it's not a good feeling to her.]

I mean...would it bother you if you made someone upset? Or would you rather them be happy?

[thescaronhisface]

If you make someone happy, they'll like you. And if you make them upset, they won't. Not that hard to get.

[Lopmon is probably going to pay in blood for being so blunt, but a few bruises are worth it if they mean Kovu learns this lesson.]

I don't think I've ever made anyone any of that.

[wall_flower]

...You've never made someone happy?

[She stops and thinks a moment.]

Actually you did...[She smiles faintly at Kovu.] Even though you didn't like the movie, sitting and watching it with me and Donnie made me happy. And you talking to me now makes me happy...

Really? Did no one ever want to talk to you in your world?

[wall_flower]

I did. I mean, I had friends, but...

[She bites on her lower lip a moment before answering.]

They're not here, and I'm sure some of them are still upset with me for what I did. And really, I enjoy talking to others. So...you talking to me is a good thing...

[thescaronhisface]

...Oh. I never thought I'd be any good to talk to.

[wall_flower]

[Marley simply smiles as she tilts her head.]

I think you are. When you want to talk, that is.

[thescaronhisface]

No one really liked to talk where I grew up.

[wall_flower]

Well...I'm not going to force you to talk. But if you ever wanted to, you can always call me. And I'm sure there are others who'd be willing to listen if you decided to talk to them.

[thescaronhisface]

It's...

[He sighs.]

...Nevermind.

[What's the point? It's not like she'd understand anyway.]

[wall_flower]

[Maybe not, but she'd at least try.]

Kovu...

[She sighs and slowly reaches out to brush her fingers against his shoulder.]

I have to get back to work, but...remember what I said, okay? If you need anything, just let me know.

[Marley offers a reassuring smile before she waves to Lopmon.]

Enjoy the rest of your break, guys. [She skates off, returning to her job of taking orders and bringing out food, her smile never wavering.]

[He winces away from her, unable to help it, and he looks almost afraid of the touch.]

...Thanks.

[Lopmon looks up from his milkshake, and over at Kovu.]

You should try not to be so gloomy all the time. Then you might actually be able to talk to people.
