Look, there's a difference between us. You have your perfectly molded place back in Garden with the rest of your squad. You shouldn't be askin' me how to handle havin' friends when you had 'em back home whether you realized it or not. I did my part for Matron—[ and for Ultimecia ]—and by then there wasn't exactly a place for me back home.

Even if I wanted to stop what I was doing, it's not like I could have. There wasn't any turning back. So I didn't lose my senses; I kept walking on the only path I had left.
