[There's a gray haired young man on the screen! Yay for more newbies. He is sitting down outside the apartment building, an Elecmon curled in his lap. The rabbit-frog-bird thing is making a dull buzzing noise like powerlines, his fan-tail sparkling. Almost like he's purring. Yu bows slightly at the camera]

It's nice to meet you all, thank you for having me. My name is Yu Narukami. Please take care of me while I adjust to all of this.

[HOW ARE YOU SO CALM YU. Well taking the time to read the letter and chat with his new partner has answered a lot of his questions- and if any of his friends are here they will see this, so no need to bellow about it. No reason to be rude, right? He sits back up, and as if feeling the shift Elecmon rolls over onto his back, showing his white belly, which Yu starts petting]

My new friend here said his name is Elecmon, but after looking around I think this might be a species name. I asked if he was alright with a nickname and he doesn't seem to really care either way. Is that a common thing here? I don't want to give him a name and make him uncomfortable with his own kind.

[Elecmon peeks an eye open, seeming to finally notice he's on camera. He rolls over, ears drooping as he slinks away.]

Ah, so I was right. That would be confusing... though maybe they can tell each other apart by scent...

You had digimon back home?

... Maybe. Or maybe it's something else. I mean, it's not like I've really asked Digimon how they do that before.

[ She pauses, before nodding. ]

Yeah. There's a couple of worlds that have their own versions of the Digital World attached to it. Mine's just one of them.

Huh... though worlds attached to other worlds is something I've heard of before, so I guess this isn't too different.

You have?

Wow. Usually if a world doesn't have a Digital World most haven't heard of something like it before. Where did you hear that?

Well, to be honest I've been to it. A world formed by the emotions of the 'real' world and full of monsters.

... Oh.

I've been to my Digital World. It's kinda the same. Except maybe the emotions part. Was it dangerous?

Very. The monsters there, for the most part, didn't have minds like the digimon seem to.

... Well, I guess that made fighting them easier, right? Did you use weapons or powers or something?

A little of both.

[it's so strange, talking about these things so openly. but in another world with cute monsters he can't really find a reason to be secretive]

[ She guessed that there were more details, but well, she didn't really need to ask them. It's not like they were really all that relevant. ]

So, umm, anyway, you seem to be taking this all pretty well. Is it because of that other world?

Yeah, mostly. I mean... I am kinda scared and freaked out. Before I had my friends, and it doesn't look like they're here.

But... the sooner I get focused and help the sooner I can get back, so no point panicking.

Yeah... I... I know what you mean. I mean, if Biyomon and I had Yuma-chan and Renamon here or everyone else from back home it'd be a lot easier.

But you're right. Being all panicky doesn't help.

Agreed. Though most of my friends would probably be freaking out more then I am.

How come? Didn't they go through the same things that you did?

[He laughs slightly awkwardly]

Yeah but... they're all a bit more emotionally bombastic... except for Naoto-kun I guess.

[ Chika giggles. ]

Oh. Okay! That explains a bit then.

They're great friends though, regardless.

Yeah! I didn't think they wouldn't be! Real friends are definitely great!

[He's kinda worried now, Chika is the youngest person he's seen here]

...speaking of friends, is anyone here looking out for you?

Yeah. My older brother is here.

[ At least, a version of him, anyway. ]

But I'm okay. Even if he wasn't here I'm okay at taking care of myself if I need too.

[ After all, she fell into the Digital World and managed to not die back home before she and Biyomon got here. ]

He purses his lips a little... but she's older then Nanako, and she could handle herself alright]

[ Chika smiles. ]

Thanks. So... umm... do you need any help looking around and finding things?

Not at the moment, though that might change. Should I keep you in mind if I get lost?
