First Verse : Video
This...is nothing like Lima.
[Despite the fact that she's not at home, Marley's actually looking rather upbeat about it. There's a friendly smile on her lips as she looks down at her D-Terminal.]
It's not a bad thing! It's just--It's different than home. But the little creatures are so adorable, and they're all being so nice!
You're nice, too, Marley! [Everyone, please direct your attention to the little Native American bird hovering just over Marley's shoulder. Marley laughs nervously as she leans her head just enough to bump against Hawkmon's.]
Aww, thanks Hawkmon. See what I mean? So nice!
[Hawkmon all but perches on her shoulder, though it doesn't seem to bother her. She's still all smiles.]
Oh, we saw the Statue of Liberty here! Can you believe it?! I know this isn't New York or anything close to it, but just seeing it reminds me of home. Or rather something that happened at home.
Oh? I didn't think a statue would be so important to you.
Yeah, it reminds me of my audition for the glee club at my high school. The show choir. I sang "New York State of Mind".
You can sing? Will you sing now?
[Marley's eyes glance to the D-Terminal as her smile falters before they focus on Hawkmon.]
I...I don't think anyone is going to want to hear me sing. Maybe another time? I'll sing just for you when we find our room.
Fourth room on the second floor, right?
That's what it says. It shouldn't be too much farther.
[Marley waves to the screen, once more smiling brightly before she cuts off the feed.]

But...I want to be a singer on the radio. Not online, Hawkmon.
You could always just make this available as an audio recording instead. It's the same thing, right?
[She still looks rather dubious as she nibbles on her lower lip. She carefully thinks over Hawkmon's words before looking at the screen again.]
Do you really want to listen to me sing?

[wiggles those pointy green ears]
What's a glee club anyway?

[They've only been to one, but that one ended with her passing out on stage and nearly ruining their chance to compete at Regionals. She's not going to admit that, though.]
We're called the "New Directions". They're really nice people.
<font color="#A00000>Come on, Marley. You're stalling.

I had kinda a...different childhood. Lets call it home schooling.

[What Campbell takes from this, and he honestly hasn't really been replying to new arrivals since he's one himself, and what prompts him to even reply this time is:]
...A show choir?

It's not entirely the same. We sing and dance on stage, but there's no acting. And we compete. Regionals is actually coming up for us.

D-Do you...really want to listen to me sing? I can do it, if...
Come on, Marley! Please?
Hawkmon!
no subject
Why not? I mean, if you don't want to, then I won't make you... [ but look at that adorable face.
He glances back to Dorumon, who seems to be asleep or just ignoring him at the moment. ] What do you think, Dorumon?
It's up to her, I suppose.
no subject
Okay. I'll sing something, umm...
What was that song you talked about before? "Stately Minds"!
You mean "New York State of Mind"? [Giggling because Hawkmon is too adorable.]
That one!
[Marley looks at the D-Terminal.]
Is that okay? It was my audition song for the New Directions.
no subject
New Directions? [ duhr?? ] And it doesn't matter to me, you're the one singing! I'm just here to listen.

Hello! Feel free to come in once you are there!
[Whenever Marley arrives and comes inside, she will find a girl younger than her in a very detailed yet old-fashioned dress with a Dorumon hanging around. She was about to leave to go explore a little, but not until she greets the new roommate and all.]
video/action(!)
We're here!
Oh!
[The door opens and Hawkmon is the first one in. Marley follows close behind, closing the door behind her. She gasps at the size and niceness of the apartment before her eyes fall on Elizabeth. Such nice clothes, and all neat and tidy. Marley may be just a liiiiiiiiittle intimidated.]
I-I'm...
Marley! She's Marley, and I'm Hawkmon!
action!
Nice to meet you two! I'm Elizabeth and this is Dorumon.
...Hello.
And yes, I am one of your roommates. There is suppose to be a third, but I have no clue who they are yet.
Lights and camera, too?
of course.
I hope they will show up or it will be just us two for now.

I'd love to hear you sing! It can't be any worse than what Daisuke does in the shower.
[Daisuke sticks his head in a second later.]
Hey Veemon, who are you talking to? [Pause. He frowns.]
Wait...what'd you say about my singing?
[Veemon chuckled]
no subject
Veemon was just teasing, I'm sure. Your singing can't be as bad as he says. I'm Marley. One of the "Chosen", I suppose. It's nice meeting you two!
no subject
Yeah. I'm Daisuke and this is Veemon. We've been Chosen for awhile, like Koushirou, so if you have questions hit us up.
Although, I can't promise I can explain everything [Nervous laugh.]
