[The video shoots on suddenly, showing what appears to be a very upset woman. Judging by how the feed bobs up and down and the even more obvious moving scenery, it looks like she's walking around the city while she glares into that feed.

Okay, I wanna know who the fraggin' genius was who--

Hey! That is not what we said we were using the D-Terminal for!

[She's cut off by a child-like voice, its friendly tone a huge contrast in comparison to her much more stern one.]

You have to be nice. Here, I'll teach you how! Lemme see that.

[But it's too late, the device is snatched from her hands and put in front of a much more happier face. The big, blue eyes of Tapirmon seem to sparkle with delight as he addresses everyone in the city.]

Hi everybody! I'm Tapirmon!

[Seriously, he sounds like he's five.]

My, um, partner needs help. Help with being...um, I know the word... "organic".

[He beams at his ability to remember Arcee's plight. That is, her struggles with suddenly being human. There's no easy way to say it, she's not really sure what to do. ...And it's not like small tapir monsters can help her out.]

Just so we're clear, this thing is not my partner.

[Hiccup hesitates before answering, giving the screen an unsure look.]

I haven't been here long at all. All I've been told to do is find my apartment, stay in it, and wait. ...And try not to get into trouble until something bad does happen, sounds like.

That's probably your best bet. Unless you know how to fight, you might as well stay out of the way.

[Wait, no. No...She probably shouldn't jump to that conclusion. She knows teenagers better than that, sadly.]

[The boy frowns, shaking his head a bit.]

[Arcee pauses, nodding her head a little. That's...actually impressive. Well, granted what he makes is actually useful.]

...Well uuh...I made a catapult, a dragon saddle, a prosthetic tail fin...

[Hiccup counts off on his fingers as he lists the different inventions and items he's constructed in the past.]

And I could have made my leg I...I guess, but I wasn't exactly awake for that part.

[At that, Hiccup angles the D-Terminal down a bit so Arcee can see his metal foot, so what they've been saying actually makes sense.]

[She takes a second or two to look over the handy work.]

Looks primitive. But if it's effective, then I guess it doesn't matter.

[Also what's a dragon?]

You should keep practicing your skill so you don't get rusty when the time comes. Not sure what that time is, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. There's got to be a scrapyard around here somewhere.

[Hiccup hadn't even thought about that. ..But what on earth could his skills possibly be needed for? From what he'd been being fed about this place so far, it sounded like the Digimon were the ones that did most, if not all of the work. ...Just with their help, apparently.]

..mm. Guess you're right...but with all of the new inventions here, I don't think I know how to make anything updated enough for anyone here to use.

[Arcee shoots a glare at Tapirmon, annoyed he'd offer to assist complete strangers when they have a much bigger dilemma on their hands.]

Okay, we can't make-MAKE things, but we can help hold stuff or put it together. It'll get done faster!

[Hiccup and Gomamon share a short glance before Hiccup looks back at Tapirmon, offering him a gentle grin.]

Well that sounds just great, Tapirmon. You guys will have to let me know when you're available to lend a helping hand.

Now wait, I never said--

We'll always be ready! We just need to find our room first, but I don't have anything planned. I think.

That's great! You might not have anything planned, but I do. Stop making plans for me.

[He states this like it's fact. To which Arcee groans and tries to shove him away.]

[While Tapirmon was talking, Gomamon had the strangest expression growing on his face. It's unsure whether he likes this idea or not, so for the moment he just stays silent.]

Good to know I've got another set of friends in this place, though.

[If they....could call themselves friends anyway. Acquaintances, perhaps?]

[...Wait, what?

Arcee stops and looks into the Terminal completely stunned. Really? That fast? He doesn't even know her name and he's calling themselves friends?

She wasn't even nice to them.]

[Is this what automatic trust feels like? WAIT, NO. Pull it together, Arcee. This is no time to get sappy.]

[...but it doesn't mean she can't like this.]

WOOHOO! I knew we could do it!

[Gomamon finally speaks up after a bit of an unusual pause, tapping the D-Terminal a bit with a free claw.]

Yeah yeah, friends! As in, you scratch our backs and we'll scratch yours. Capiche?

Gomamon- ...don't, you'll break it-

[Why look at you, aren't you a tough little cookie. Okay, let's see how you like it. Arcee brings her face closer to the Terminal, her sharp gaze directed at Gomamon rather than Hiccup now.]

You really think I'd go into some friendship without anything to offer? I'm the best fraggin' thing you got. You know, you should be more worried about what you're gonna do for me rather than what I'm gonna do for you. Capiche?

[~~She's totally messing around.~~]

[Hiccup leans back a little and blinks, watching Arcee from over the top of Gomamon's head. Meanwhile, the Digimon leans back slightly himself, until his back is pressed against Hiccup's chest.

The boy struggles to hold back a grin, biting his lip when Gomamon rolls his shoulders a bit, huffing.]

...Ye-..yeah! Well- ...uh.. good!..

[Gomamon glances away from Arcee slightly, scratching the side of his face with a claw.]

...well, I ain't gonna be convinced 'till I meet you two in person. Yaknow, gotta really check you out. I'm not so much of a pushover as johnny one-leg here.

{AAAAND the grin is gone.]

[She's smirking to herself on the inside, she's totally eating this up. Outside, however, the coldness doesn't seem to waver.

Also, hi, if it's one thing she hates, it's people who make fun of another person's disability. You see missing limbs a lot in war. Granted, with Cybertronians, they can be put back on much easier compared to a human, even replaced with a newer model, but it didn't change the fact that it was a very painful experience. Just...don't joke about that stuff.

Also Hiccup's her friend now, it was established.]

[He can't help but raise his eyebrows a bit with mild surprise at Arcee's response to Gomamon's joke. Gomamon hadn't been saying a whole lot about his leg at first, but as time went on he seemed to get more and more comfortable with jokes and snide remarks about it. Hiccup....was pretty sure he didn't really mean it all.

His smile returns somewhat, even moreso at Tapirmon's enthusiasm.

Alright, alright! Sheesh, I was only kiddin'...

I guess we can meet you two at the apartments, sometime. I'm sure our rooms aren't too far apart.

[She becomes much calmer after that, even smiling a little. Sorry Gomamon, it just wasn't funny. If she was actually there, you'd be sure there would be some attempt to chuck him.

But whatever, as long as Gomamon knows his place, she's good now.]

I think I'd actually like that. A lot. I hate saying it, but I'm going to need all the help I can get. ...Not for more than a couple of days. Can't be that different...

Tapirmon, on the other hand, is absolutely delighted that his partner was able to make friends. He knew it! He knew she was secretly nice. For a second there, he was starting to get worried he had the wrong person.]
