♔ 006; [video]
[The video switches back to reality with Waver looking pale and a little sick. He immediately cuts off the D-Terminal as Palmon can be heard asking him if he's going to faint.]
[ooc: video transcript]
video;
[Waver pressed a hand to his forehead, appearing at once exhausted and in deep thought.]
...He had to have been Gilgamesh. There's no other option--not with that weapon he used. The anti-world Noble Phantasm that destroyed Ionian Hetairoi.
video;
[ She means you, Waver. ] Once you know your opponent's identity, that's it for them. You know what to anticipate when they attack and there's no way they can gain any sort of footing on you. He may as well signed away his right to victory by allowing you to see another day.
That doesn't match up with the legend of Gilgamesh at all.
video;
He...got along strangely well with Rider, actually. [Considering Rider invited the little shit to a party and said little shit actually showed up...] I'd probably say they respected each other. Besides, that close to the end of the war there's really no threat in a Master without a Servant.
I'm telling you, there's no way anyone but him would have a sword called Ea or an attack called Enuma Elish. I'm not saying it makes sense that I'm still alive, but I'm certain I've got his identity right.
video;
Whew, it must have been intimidating just to stand in his presence. You know that he's part god, don't you? It isn't the same as controlling a demigod--[ She sounds almost experienced at that. ]--or a true hero.
Alexander the Great against Gilgamesh... well, it was only obvious he would fail. A conqueror can't stand up against a god. What were you doing picking a fight with such a powerful Heroic Spirit?
video;
...Don't, Tousaka. Just stop right there and change the subject. I'm not kidding.
video;
[ What's that, continue to pry where she shouldn't? ] You two weren't the last ones in the war or else you would have looked more upset.
video;
I gave up being his Master just before that fight. I knew I wasn't strong enough to see the war through to the end...so I told him to fight on without me. It was Rider that decided I should stay by his side and finish things.
video;
The moment you accept defeat is the moment you lose. You can't ever falter, understand that? If you think for a second that there's no chance at winning, you've just opened up that chance with your doubt!
video;
[Waver hesitated as though putting his sentiments in order before speaking again.]
I'm not like you, Tousaka. You must have known everything you were getting into from the start--I didn't. I'm not a great and powerful magus like the Tohsakas of my world, I was desperate and I walked into something that was more than I could have prepared for.
video; 1/2
[ A light laugh. ] You're just like her. Pathetic, hopeless, and you had no idea what you were getting into. Honestly, people like you deserve to lose!
video;
video;
It says I'm still too weak.

video;
And I can't--I won't disappoint him. I have to be as worthwhile as Rider believed I was.
video;
[ If he doesn't have a Rider, he can have a Rindere instead. ]
Wow, that's pretty forward of me. I better be careful or else you might actually think I have a crush on you!
video;
L-like I'd be insane enough to think something so ridiculous?!
video;
video;
[here we go again]
video;
video;
[...oh god he would]
video;
[ Clears throat, suddenly has a hoarse voice: ] Waver, my dear boy! You should go and get that booty!
video;
video;
With me at your side, my boy, you'll finally release all of that tension!
