Hey, huge favor to ask. Can anyone who got here with...some kinda music get in touch with me? I just wanna make a copy of it on my D-Terminal. 'Course if the thing you had it on got fried, I can show you how to transfer it over.

Kinda need as much as possible, as soon as possible. By, the 15th at the latest.

I got this back when the language stuff was going on. Thought I could work on my English, but I haven't been able to find a player. It's just a re-release LP- 2012 can you believe that?! They still print these in the future?- So nothing fancy. But if you can find a way to play it...

[Cam's mouth drops open and he stares at the vinyl, utterly amazed. He almost drops his D-Terminal.] Dude. You found that-- How?

[A ruffling, and Cam calls off-screen-- guys, we need a record player-- before continuing.] You mean it? I can use it?

[Neku laughs]

Dude, a lot of older English acts get really big in Japan. We've got whole reprints and LPs that ONLY come out here. It was lucky but not THAT lucky. You can HAVE it.... s'not like I'm gonna use it, and I hate leaving music to sit.

That's... [Cam is beside himself. He's not all that knowledgable on music, but he knows this is sorta a big deal.] That's beyond awesome. I'll find something to play it on, and. She's gonna love it.

Now I don't have to feel bad about not getting you anything for your birthday.

Hey, Maya said you did a lot of the whole party, organizing thing. That's a present!

Besides, I don't really mind.

I'd offer you mine, but I doubt it's that easy to extract it from a fried AI over a fried iPod. Damn shame, too, because I've been working on that collection for ages.

[An audible wince.] Hm... Neku got all his stuff off his iPod, maybe... Uh, we could try? Worth a shot, right?

Show me how you do it and I'll test it. You know how it is, got some sensitive stuff on there with all the goofy stuff too.

Oh, uh, yeah, 'course! I've gotta transfer some of it to an MP3 once I find one, so I'll demonstrate on that.

Listen to it, of course. Look, Maya loves music, but she hasn't been able to listen to anything but what's here, in the city, or what she had with her, not since she got here. So, I figured, if I could get a lot of it...

I've heard her play. And any music I've got? Absolute garbage compared to that. She's probably better off makin' her own music in most cases.

Well, of course it is.

[That's a real quick response.]

But that doesn't mean she doesn't like listening to other stuff. It's not just...about playing to her, it's all of it. She's talked my ear off about everything, and if there's stuff here she hasn't heard? ...She'd love it.

Okay, okay, stop bein' sappy. I'll shove a CD under your door or somethin'.

[He can't help but smile.]

Just don't tell her I had anything to do with it.

It's all going on the same place, she won't know where any one song comes from.

[Oh no. It's a lively little girl. Oh no, Cam can never say no to them. He does not interrupt her right away, he does not try to stop her, he just listens to the painfully adorable melody.]

That's real helpful of you, but I don't really need live music. I'm looking for recordings, so I can give them to someone. You're very nice for offering, though, and that's great playing.

[Oh. Well, that complicates matters doesn't it? But hey, he likes her playing at least. Kit smiles.]

Thanks. Though if you wanted, I guess maybe you could record me playing? Or someone else could. Would that work?

[It's a genuine question, since Kit really has no idea how one goes about recording stuff, or if they even have the needed equipment to do so.]
