01 Butterfly (Video)

[The video comes to life suddenly, shaking a little as the device is inspected by the young woman. It's pointed off to the side, then up, then down at the ground, before being righted.

When she finally notices it, she blinks curiously.]

Oh, Lopmon...what does that mean?

[The video moves a little, and the rabbit-like Digimon's face appears right under hers. He looks into the screen thoughtfully, then looks up at her.]

You've activated the video feed.

The...video feed...?

Yeah. Right now it's transmitting a video to everyone's D-Terminals.

[Even though the video isn't directly focused on her, anyone who's paying attention will notice her eyes widening.] E...e-everyone's...?

Anyone who's got one.

[The young woman gives a small squeak, and suddenly the video is shaking once again. Blurred images of the ground, the sky, any nearby scenery flash by in rapid succession as though the camera was spinning.

There's a brief flash of Lopmon approaching before the camera is once again steadied, focused on the ground as his feet touch down. The video shakes a little more as the device is turned over, and there's a sheepish smile on Lopmon's face when it comes back into view.]

S-sorry about that everyone. Fluttershy is a bit...well, shy.

[He glances back towards his partner; though his head takes up most of the screen, a little farther back are a pair of eyes staring back at him, peaking over a curtain of light-yellow feathers.

Lopmon sighs.]

[There's another startled squeak behind Lopmon, and the eyes disappear behind the yellow feathers. With another sigh, Lopmon heads back over to her, the camera shaking as the two have a hushed, undecipherable conversation.

When the video focuses again, Fluttershy is looking into the screen uncertainly.]

H-hello...?

Hey there! I'm Beastboy. Nice to meetcha!

[For a moment, she glances away from the screen. The voice of Lopmon, purposely not in the video, could be heard.]

Go on...it's fine.

[She looks back at the screen, and somehow manages a small, embarrassed smile.]

I-I'm...Fl-Fluttershy...

Tell me about it! Where I come from there's less cool monsters. Only the big scary kind. Still Psyche here isn't scary at all. She's been really cool.

[Wait is that.... a brown and pink and boy version of Terriermon? Neku looks between the feed and his partner a few times. But after the shock he notices the shy older girl and sighs, rubbing his neck awkwardly. Ah damn...]

Hey... it's alright. You're not nearly the most embarrassing thing that's been shown on here today. You can come out...

[The camera shifts again as Lopmon disappears, focusing the screen on Fluttershy.]

Don't worry, Fluttershy. They just wanna talk, that's all.

[For a moment nothing happened, except maybe a slight tremor through the veil of feathers. Then, slowly, the feathers part and reveal the young woman, looking cautiously at the screen as her wings fold a little behind her.]

[After the Reapers, the wing don't freak him out as much as they could have, and the pink hair makes something tighten in his chest. So when he speaks his voice betrays some soft fondness along with the awkwardness.]

There you go. Fluttershy, right? [He assumes it's a nickname, to be honest]

[A small, hesitant nod.] Y-yes...

[scratchitti]

I'm Neku. This- [He gestures for his partner, and for once she doesn't have anything snarky to say] - is Terriermon.

Hi!

O-oh...Lopmon, that almost looks like you...

[The camera shifts again, and Lopmon's face appears on screen. Curious at first, he then breaks into a grin.]

Hi!

[digilight]

It's okay! Everyone's nice around here.

[strengthinkindness]

[Lopmon heads back over to where Fluttershy is sitting, holding up the D-Terminal to her, moving her wings slightly and placing the device in her hands.] Here...

[Taking the device, Fluttershy looks into the screen.]

I-I'm sorry, I...I...didn't mean to bother anyone...

[digilight]

[Hikari looks slightly confused, but shakes her head.]

Mehm-mm! You're not being a bother to anyone.

[strengthinkindness]

[She seems relieved to hear this, though still looks a little nervous.]

I-I'm glad...I-I'm still trying to...figure things out...

[digilight]

That's okay! Everyone's here to help you out.

[strengthinkindness]

[That seems to help her relax as she nods.] Yes, thank you. I...really appreciate it. I just hope I...I'll be able to help out too....

[There's another squeak, and she hides more behind her wings.

The video moves slightly as Lopmon walks back over to where she's sitting.] She has some trouble when she meets new people...hang on...

[The D-Terminal is put down, screen focused away from them as Lopmon and Fluttershy begin talking in hushed voices. What they say isn't picked up, but Lopmon seems to be trying to calm her down.

After a moment things fall silent, then the D-Terminal is picked up again, Fluttershy looking into the screen nervously.]

H-hello...? I-I...I'm sorry about...this. I-I'm still...t-trying to get used to...things.
