Alright, now who here is totally excited to meet their new Digimon partners?! [Yeah, she's pretty sure some of you out there aren't the exact definition of elated with who you're paired up with...but don't you worry, that's completely normal. Just give it time...]
I know it's a lot to take in, and pretty unexpected, but believe me when I tell you that life for you is never going to be the same, and it's definitely a good thing! ♥ I don't know how I could've gotten to where I am nowadays without Palmon...
[She seems to be digressing. Has she forgotten that she's addressing a load of new, confused, and potentially scared people?]
Oh! I should probably introduce myself, huh? [She's still all smiles regardless, and there doesn't seem to be any sign of that changing...yet.] I'm Mimi Tachikawa, one of the original Chosen Children, right there with Taichi-san, Hikari-chan, Koushirou-kun, Yamato-san, Sora-san, Jou-senpai, and Takeru-kun!
Don't worry, you'll have time to remember our names later. For now, I recommend you really get to know your new Digimon partner! It'll come in real handy later when it's time for them to evolve...and the stronger your bond becomes, the better, I always say!
...why, you wonder? Well...eheh...you'll see. [Impish grin.]
But! I guess all that's left now is for Koushirou-kun to explain the nitty-gritty, huh? Don't worry, it might sound complicated, but if someone like me can get the hang of it, anyone can!
N-not that I'm dumb or anything! But it was a lot to figure out, at first! But we've blazed the trail for others to follow, and we're here to help you every step of the way!
[She leans in and cups a hand beside her mouth to whisper dryly.] Especially with translating what Koushirou-kun tells you. It's taken me years to figure it out, but I'm the expert, now! Come to me if you don't get it.

[Hiccup shrugs his shoulders, causing Gomamon- who's got either fin flopped around the boy's neck- to bob up and down a bit.]
...Is it...fair that I got an aquatic Digimon?
[Gomamon huffs and looks over sharply, looking particularly offended.]
Fair!? And what's so wrong with aquatic Digimon, huh?
Well it wouldn't be so bad if you weren't making me carry you everywhere.
We'd never get anywhere if you made me walk all the time! And 'sides, I don't even weigh that much!

...aquatic Digimon are pretty handy, when you get down to it. They're also some of the most powerful!
[What's wrong with having one?] And they're some of the cutest, too~!
[Winkin' right at'cha, Gomamon!]
Remind me to introduce you to Jyou-senpai when he's not busy! You two could exchange tips and stuff!

He grins though, lifting his claws a little with a chuckle.]
H-hey....thanks!
[Afterwards he sinks down onto Hiccup's shoulder, resting his chin atop his fins. Hiccup doesn't really notice and just figures Gomamon is being arrogant as usual.]
Mmm yeah, I guess you're right.
Jyou? I actually met him not that long ago.
[The viking chuckles.]
His Gomamon isn't that much different from mine. Only his is....a lot more well behaved.

That'll come in time, don't you worry! [After the Gomamon has worn down those defensive walls and waddles his wiggly way into your heart, that is!]
