Guilmon's Totally Prodigious Digistuff 004 [Video]

[Except not today, as the screen pops up to show Ed's usual aderpable self.]

Hey guys! Sorry about everything, but I've been kind of busy between work and more work and after that I kinda did some work... anyways it's been busy. I'd have changed the title, but it's already set up to say that in series and I don't really know how to change it to something else. [Or more like he didn't want to go through the tiny boxes and settings changes involved.]

But yeah, I just wanted to say hi and stuff. I decided to take the next couple of days off, so if you guys want to hang out... well I just thought I'd put that out there.

Anyways, I figured it'd be a good thing to get that out there since I've been spending all of my time being so busy lately.

[Guilmon pops its head into the frame] Hey, Ed... whatcha' doing? Can I help?

Oh, I'm just practicing for a speech I have to give later... recording it so I can watch how I look when I talk. Don't worry about it. [Wait since when does Ed lie?]

Okay... It didn't sound like a speech though...

Don't worry about it, Guilmon. I'm sure you were just confused.

[The only sane man, Guilmon, goes out to grab a burger right quick.]

Your dragon's name is Toothless. That says all that needs to be said about how strong it is, and you really don't need to tell me what true power is. Ungodly magical might, remember?

Why don't you just put your money where your mouth is sometime? You talk all big and you've got nothing to show for it.

[Not like Toothless is HERE for any sort of duel or anything, but like Hiccup's going to say that.]

A-doi. My magic is sealed off here, but back home?

I made a spell one time that had just a teensy weensy side effect of destroying the entire world. As a side effect. It was stronger than that. The heck is your little toothless dragon going to do to that?

Destroying the entire world, including yourself, doesn't exactly strike me as the smartest thing anybody could do. Guess you're not really showing off until you've killed everyone.

[Hiccup glares, gritting his teeth.]

You don't even want to know. I don't need magic to prove how strong I am, neither of us do.

So what, you want to fight like a big strong mighty Viking? Is that how you solve all your problems?

We civilized people have these things, you know. We call them words and--HORKFLJIGGR!!

[This conversation has just been derailed by a flying Guilmon clothesline.]

Both of you, cut it out! You guys are friends, and now you're both acting like crazy people and it's not good!

[Hiccup smirks, continuing to ignore Gomamon, who's been sorta just sitting in his lap hugging his knees this entire time.]

Friends? Since when did I EVER say I was friends with this joker? You've got to be kidding.

You guys were friends since before you two went into that dark zone together! You both said it! No take-backs!

She's right you know.

...Mghhh. Nothing doing. I don't have any friends in this forsaken place.

[Gomamon lifts his head a little at that, his ears falling back slightly.]

Th... Ths... [Nope. Can't talk yet. Just gonna lie here and recuperate.

In the meanwhile, Guilmon's green scarf flutters in some unseeable breeze. Indoors. Ed might have left the fan on.]

No! You do too have friends. You and Gomamon are friends, and Gomamon and me are friends so we're friends! And I'm Ed's friend so you're friends! You guys had a whole thingy when you weren't fiend but then suddenly you were! Now be friends or I'll... I'll get really mad!

....

[Hiccup remains silent for a moment, watching the screen with a hard to read gaze. Guilmon's right about one thing. Something's really wrong here, with both Hiccup and Ed. it isn't like them to act the way they are, and further talking from the viking just seems to drive that point home.]

Yeah? And what if I say no? You can't do anything through a communicator screen.

...You're right. I can't.

[The video feed cuts off.

And several minutes later, there is a very loud BANG on Hiccup's door, not unlike the sound a certain large and heavy red rookie digimon might make if trying to kick it down.]

OPEN UP! YOU TWO ARE GOING BACK TO BEING FRIENDS AGAIN RIGHT NOW!

[Both Hiccup and Gomamon jump at the loud banging at the door. In an instand Hiccup throws his leg over the side of the bed, successfully expelling Gomamon from his lap to the floor in the process. He ignores him though and bounds to the door before shoving his weight against it, shouting.]

Get OUT of here Guilmon!!

Nuh-uh! Not happening! [KICK.] I am going to stay right here and kick this door until it opens up and you and Ed make friends again and I don't care how long it takes! You guys fighting isn't right!

[If you're wondering where Ed is during all of this he's actually been dragged down a flight of stairs by Guilmon. After having to recover from a clothesline. So yeah, he's not exactly... awake... just yet. Don't worry, he'll be fine.]

[Hiccup just does his best to hold the door shut- which he probably won't be doing for long, since Guilmon seems pretty determined.]

I'm not GOING to be friends with that idiot! Not now, not ever!!

[Yeah Guilmon has every intention of kicking that door down. Sorry door. :(]

I'm telling you, you two are already friends! So you're silly!

[A crude metal foot does not provide much traction against hardwood floors, so it doesn't take too much to push the door- and Hiccup- back enough to leave a gap for Guilmon to squeeze through.]

Just go away! Leave me alone already!

[Just pardon me while I squeeze on in then... oh an there's still an out-of-it Ed in tow.] Nuh uh! Ed is all like lying and being a butt and stuff and now you're being a jerk too and that isn't right! You guys are really good friends!

[Hiccup stiffens, spotting Ed as she drags him in.]

...What'd you do, kill him?

[Not that that would be any skin off his nose.]

Huh? Oh, no. He just bumped his head.

fhffdff... [Ed is still clearly unconscious.]

A lot. Anyways! Make up right now!

[Well, it looks like Guilmon is pretty insistent on this. ..and judging by the way she nearly broke the door down, she's not going to be leaving any time soon. Hiccup rolls his eyes and crosses his arms stiffly, not noticing Gomamon dragging himself over after being thrown off his lap.]

I don't want to.

Well, too bad!

[Think fast, Hiccup, there's an Ed being thrown at you. Guilmon'd be more worried if A) Ed wasn't unconscious and B) the dark zone hadn't still been like a million times worse.]

[The fact that he literally wasn't expecting anything like that to happen out of nowhere is a big part of the reason that Hiccup isn't able to react at all. He does sorta throw out his arms to soften the blow of flying Ed-to-the-face, but really they both just end up in a heap on the ground.

By that time Gomamon has made his way over, watching the scene with surprise.]

Well...that's one way t'get th'job done.

[Guilmon looks at the two of them, then at the door, then at the two of them again. Then she pokes Ed,who makes a small 'mph' noise but still isn't moving. Finally, she asks the big important question.]

Do you think it worked?

....Well if anything, it got their attention.

[Gomamon mimics Guilmon by poking Hiccup's side with a claw, but he just lets out a low groan. Well at least they're not yelling at each other anymore, so it's a partial win in Gomamon's book.]

Maybe we should take them to the hospital? I did throw him pretty hard...
