[Terriermon can be seen handling the D-T, setting it up before speaking. It seems today she is wearing a collar/choker with small rhinestones set into it. Neku can be seen in the background, playing a game on a handheld system of some sort]

Sooo, Neku was telling me not to mention his birthday today. BUT I was thinking-

[Neku curses at the game, something about 'I thought you LIKED cake Hanako!?'. Terriermon's ears perk, and she waits for him to get focused on his game again before continuing]

-since I WAS born for him, anything you all wanted to do for his hatching can come to ME instead! See, then everyone is happy! Neku can sulk and not do anything fun, and you guys' efforts won't be wasted!

[In the back: 'Wait... touch the screen... okay... this seems dirty, what kinda game IS this?!']

Hehe, he's so busy with his new game he probably totally forgot that he even told me.

[There's some rather happy female sounds in the background, and Neku is beet red]

...I think I won.

[As soon as he opens the door there's a burst of confetti and streamers Beastboy grinning like a dork and offering a small cake with a frosted picture of Neku on it]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!

[Most people would be happily excited at the surprise. Neku, though screams like BB shot him, clutching his chest like he's about to have a heart attack]

[BB seems oblivious to his distress]

Sorry I couldn't do more but this was kinda last minute.

[Barges into his room like he owns the place and sets the cake down on a table]

But hey! It's the thought that counts. And I thought you might like some tokens for the arcade!

[Produces a bag of video game tokens]

[He leans against the doorframe, panting for a few seconds. He tries to glare but it's hard to do with your heart running a mile a minute AND when the target is trying to be nice. So it's more exasperated.

Terriermon hops on the table to look at the cake]

Wow, look it even has your pissy expression!

Shut up Terri... erm... thanks, Beastboy. [He rubs the back of his head, all awkward]

Of course dude! You're a long way from home and all. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't try to make your birthday something sweet?

[Sets the tokens on the counter next to the pissy looking cake]

How old are you anyway?

[Neku hides his face a little in his collar, but doesn't look displeased]

[He glances at the bag, trying to do the math in his head and giving up. That's a LOT of tokens]

You know, you're gonna have to help be spend these.

Aw cool dude! You're old enough to drive back home!

...not that it matters because there doesn't seem to be a driving age here.

[Grins brightly]

Of course I'm happy to help dude! That's half the fun of working at the arcade! I can help make a bag of tokens like this vanish in a day.

Sounds good. I don't play a lot of games usually, so I'll need the back up.

Really? But I thought you were just playing a game when the recording went out...
