There's something I'm trying to figure out.

[A slightly bruised but quickly recovering Waver could be found on the network today. His right hand was raised to his head thoughtfully, displaying the mostly faded remnants of red markings that were once burned into the back of it.]

Could there really be something that passes for magecraft in this world? Not that I'm complaining, considering Palmon's second form is perfect for me, but I'm just wondering about the implications.

If there's a species of Digimon clearly classified as some sort of magus, just what qualifies as the 'magic' they're using? Some lines of code or circuitry? And if that's the case, could it be something people like us could work on utilizing?

...then again, maybe there's not much point in me considering this. [Waver sighed, shaking his head.] I don't know much about computers or programming, so I guess even if it was possible, I wouldn't be the one to figure it out.

[Someone really misses his magecraft, apparently.]

I...don't think she likes me all that much. And she isn't really easy to talk to.

But I don't get it. Magi hate technology. I'd be surprised if half of them owned so much as a phone.

She... is a little hard to talk to at first, but believe me, she's not as bad as she seems.

And as for the mage thing... I was told that all magic just sort of...Disappeared... a few decades ago. So I guess the remaining magi just needed to adapt somehow so they could still do something similar to their old skills. You know, try to do something or else you lose everything, you know?

Adapt? They would never--there's no way anyone in the Clock Tower would actually turn to some form of technology even to save their magic.

Sorry... that's pretty much what I've been told. I don't know what else to tell you.

But if they're really as prideful as you're seeming to imply, even if they so anti-technology... do you really think they'd just let what they took pride in completely die out like that, when there was still another way to at least somewhat preserve it?

... Sounds like you don't think very highly of these magi. Any particular reason why?

I...I just don't. It's a long story.

[She shakes her head.] No, sorry... all I know is that it was some big, dramatic event. Rin never really got more specific than that.

That doesn't make sense... I mean, I won't say I don't believe you, but I don't understand what even could cause something like that.
