There's something I'm trying to figure out.

[A slightly bruised but quickly recovering Waver could be found on the network today. His right hand was raised to his head thoughtfully, displaying the mostly faded remnants of red markings that were once burned into the back of it.]

Could there really be something that passes for magecraft in this world? Not that I'm complaining, considering Palmon's second form is perfect for me, but I'm just wondering about the implications.

If there's a species of Digimon clearly classified as some sort of magus, just what qualifies as the 'magic' they're using? Some lines of code or circuitry? And if that's the case, could it be something people like us could work on utilizing?

...then again, maybe there's not much point in me considering this. [Waver sighed, shaking his head.] I don't know much about computers or programming, so I guess even if it was possible, I wouldn't be the one to figure it out.

[Someone really misses his magecraft, apparently.]

I didn't really see him fight for that long, but it looked a lot like the kind I'm familiar with.

Oh, so you go to school to learn magic? Takato goes to school, too, but I don't think he learns stuff like that there.

[Guilmon isn't totally sure what people learn at school, since he hasn't really been in the classroom outside of using it as a sleeping space when the D-Reaper attacked.]

Have you thought about asking him about his attacks, though? Maybe if he evolves again, he can show you more!

The Clock Tower's a little different than a normal school, so you're probably right.

[Beat.] ...Why didn't I think to ask him?

Because for a smart kid, you're kind of stupid.

I didn't know they had schools in clock towers. I think there are clocks inside Takato's school, but that's different.

[...Also, Palmon, that remark nets a little head tilt and a grunt from Guilmon.]

Aww, Guilmon doesn't think your Tamer is stupid. Sometimes we just forget things!

They usually don't. Not as far as I know, at least. And he's right, I'm not stupid.

Just kind of clueless.

Mm, I bet Palmon would get along with Terriermon! He's kind of snappy, too.

[But that's okay. Guilmon's used to his tactless behavior.]
