How many techies do we have here? Serious question, hecklers need not apply.
I ask because I've got a big ol' project for anyone out there with experience in programming, handling large and delicate amounts of data, physically building computers or anything in relation to that. I've got a friend that should have come here with me, but he didn't since everything electronic goes kaput when we arrive. A thousand bits says he's still where he should be, I just have no idea how to get him functioning.
So, like I said, anyone who wants something to do—well, or wants to get paid, because I will definitely pay you whatever is within my power to do so for the help, or otherwise exchange valuable commodities (such as self-defense)—reply here. Thanks.
[ See here for details on what she's hoping to restore and our options on how it could go! I have no specific time frame or anything like that in mind, so don't be afraid to tag in. ]

You'll only need me and my services come with a price. You're going to owe me so big for this one...

Is "so big" like some kind of digi-metric here?
no subject
[ This is why she has no friends. Ever. ] So what's this project? Something you brought along with you isn't working--a robot or something better?
no subject
A program. An AI of sorts, actually.
no subject
Aha, of course. It should be possible. If a Servant is able to come here, then surely an AI should have been able to travel as well. I think. Well, it sounds all fine and dandy except I've got to ask the most obvious question here.
Do you think it's worth loading an AI in this place?
no subject
Abso-fuckin'-lutely, it's worth it. Why wouldn't it be?
[ There's a small gasp in the background. ] Oh God, Thelma, it's not the end of the world!
It abso-fuckin'-lutely is! See what I did there?
[ Give Misha just one little second, Rin. We know your time is valuable, but she has to close the D-Terminal to laugh at her partner. ]
no subject
Umm, what is it Tousaka? [ A sheepish voice in the background can be heard barely and only due to the advanced technology of the microphone. ]
If you ever curse, I'm kicking you into one of those Dark Fields myself.
[ Not that she really means it, but come on. There's no way she could live with herself if her partner starts cursing herself. ]
no subject
Misha comes back a moment later. ]
Sorry about that. You were saying?
no subject
I'm saying you don't know what this world may do to an AI.
no subject
That's no reason not to try. If it gives him a body or more power than God, at least that means we'll have another ally here, right?
no subject
[ A huff. ] This place isn't easy to crack into or have my complaints fallen on deaf ears?
[ Oh look, she's showing consideration for others and their belongings. How unlike her. ]
no subject
[ Which is actually a pretty big development for her. Years ago, the idea of messing something up so thoroughly would have sent her into a fit of anxiousness. Now, she's nervous but not enough to let it show. ]
no subject
(Even if she can't see it) ] So when do we start? Er, that is if you're wanting to actually hire me. We can discuss payment whenever I get it working.
[ So arrogant too! ]
no subject
As soon as you're free. With how often crises come up in this city, I'd really rather no delays, you know? We're going to have enough of those already. I'd like if you could bring some sample of your work, too, but I know how this place pretty much throws your résumé into the garbage so don't sweat it too much.
no subject
I'm working on building something new here, but this stuff isn't all that easy to get into. Those complaints can wait for another day though--when should we meet up?
no subject
Building something new like what?
And honestly, it's all the same to me. Whenever you're free, I'd love to start.
no subject
Nah, I'm wondering how easy it'll be to customize these things they give us. It feels as though it'll be a pain to do so, but I've got nothing else to do.
Speaking of, I guess now's a good time. You got a place?

No... but really. Is that a problem?

[ Rin can swing either way. Even if the conversation isn't meant to be taken as such. ]
Just awfully bold to do in Japan.
