[There's a bit of juggling and then the screen is adjusted to try to squeeze in the face of a rather excited looking 11 year old boy and a blue digimon that many will recognize by now as Veemon.]

Hey, new Chosen and digimon. It's Daisuke Motomiya and Veemon. From what Koushirou said in that message, it sounds like you guys could use some more experience and all around awesomeness around here and I am just the guy for the job! Veemon and I have got your back no matter what and we'll even help you become as awesome as we are.

[Daisuke gives a reassuring thumbs up to the screen. Veemon simply nods enthusiastically in agreement. The boy then turns to his partner.]

So what do you think? Should we go back and play with Culumon, find ourselves a soccer ball, or go set up Fort Daisuke in the Miracles District.

Daisuke. I thought you promised you weren't going to do that. Just because you have the whole place to yourself doesn't mean you can take the whole building over.

Sure it does. You just don't like the name because we didn't name it Veemon Palace.

But you said you'd think about it.

[At this point it might seem that the two have forgotten they are on the network, but then Daisuke sighs, dropping his head in defeat and looks back at the camera.]

We'll get back to you guys on the name. I think Veemon and I should find that soccer ball first instead.

You probably shouldn't take over the entire place unless you're expecting to remain the only ones there.

We are not naming it Fort Veemon though.

But that's another vote for it! Plus it combines my idea with yours so it's perfectly fair!

He's a fellow Veemon, of course he gets a vote Daisuke.

Forts are better than palaces anyway. Palaces are prissy but forts are awesome. And there's more Veemon here than Daisukes, so it just makes more sense to call it Fort Veemon.

You would be referring to me, Daisuke? I am Rise's partner. I am Lucemon. How do you do? And you as well, Veemon.

But you are really nice to take so much time to meet everyone. I mean ... there are so many of us.

[Both Veemon and Daisuke have similar expressions of surprise. Although maybe they shouldn't given that digimon can be reborn...although BWG wasn't exactly normal and the way he'd "gone out."

[Daisuke looks awkwardly around. But, well, they didn't really get a chance to be friends before. Maybe now is the time to change all of that.]

So you're okay now? I mean last time we saw you, you sealed the gate between worlds...and that was months ago.

I seem to be whole. I have not had the chance to test the limits of this body. I do not know if I am as strong as I was before.

Please tell me you have some more useful advice than what the other old Chosen have been giving.

[Daisuke looks very thoughtful for a moment. Hmmm...advice from experienced Chosen.]

If you see any Numemon be nice to them, otherwise they might fling their poo at you.

I don't think that's what he meant Daisuke.

Oh. Well what have the others already told you?

[A Kokuwamon pops in from off camera.] That's still very good advice!

Stuff like "be nice to your partner", "don't panic", and one that said we needed to train and learn how to fight together. All self-explanatory. Except that last one, I guess.

[Daisuke nods, sagely.] You don't think about these things until it's too late.

[Daisuke then looks back up, tilting his head.] But that's pretty good advice. Digimon aren't just data or pets, they're friends. And fighting together is good too, although I think that is also a part of trusting and being nice. I mean, Veemon and I have seen a lot of action together but we wouldn't have gotten this far if we didn't trust each other, right buddy?

Yeah. Besides, there's not a lot of other things we can tell you until you get that part. Not to mention we don't even know what we're up against yet.

[Shinji listens dutifully, occasionally taking a look offscreen over at his own partner.]

GAH! [Daisuke and Veemon both jump. Dude, turn down the creepy.]

Well, you know, I've actually had a digimon partner for awhile now. Longer than you guys anyway. Veemon and I have seen a lot of battles and we've had a lot of fun too.

[whispers.]Daisuke...that's...

[Whispering back] Yeah. I know. But that's his partner so maybe we shouldn't worry.

[Yeah, guys, he's right there while you whisper about him and Keramon.]

[ Well now, isn't that an interesting reaction! The Undertaker is intrigued! He folds his fingers together and tilts his head, Keramon tilting with him. (Om nom hat nom.) Fighting, hm? How curious. For all the talk of "strength" and "power" and "digi-volving", this is the first he's personally heard anyone actually mention battle.

He makes note of that, but there's something even more of interest to address, first. ]
