[So as the feed turns on, it won't show the person recording. Instead, it will pan over several rather detailed anatomical sketches of several Digimon- Gazimon and Tailmon, Greymon and Kimeramon, Devidramon and Damemon... It seems, after a while, like most of the Digimon inhabiting the city have been drawn here. Each of the sketches also has several notes attached, along the lines of 'strong bite' or 'heat ray from hands', or 'weak vision'.

Rather than turning the camera to show herself, Alex will just talk from off-screen]

So, since a certain fuckhead of a biologist dropped off the face of the Earth before he got me the information he was supposed to, I've been working on a project of my own. A Digimon encyclopedia of sorts, all known ones, their abilities and hopefully weaknesses if we know those, too. Spread the knowledge and give everyone a better chance to survive whatever bollocks shows up this time. Any information on Digimon capabilities would help, if you lot care to share it.

Though, I did notice something while I was doing these.

[She shuffles the papers around until several Digimon drawings are on top- Sakuyamon Miko Mode, Lilimon, Bastemon, Lotusmon, and Darcmon, specifically.]

I get that Digimon are apparently spawned from the data from the internet. That explains why most of them appear to have recognizable forms rather than being completely alien to us, I think, something like Gazimon could have been given form by data on canine form and behavior. There's also a bunch of cat-looking ones, and since most of human output is total shit, I think that explains the Damemon as well.

But why the hell are most of the humanoid Digimon I've seen so far all women, and on top of that, they all look like that? Tits and bikinis, the lot of them. Even Lilimon is an inch of skirt away from showing the world if Digimon get underwear data or not. Where, exactly, is this Digital World getting its data on humans from? Why the fuck is it so skewed right towards knockers the size of my head and wearing less than a street corner hooker? Is this place just getting its data on humans from adult sites, or have I just been extremely unfortunate in my encounters so far?

You're more than welcome to make the amendment, if you really want to.

[He'd assume that the reason he was dragged here was because part of Shibuya was - responsibilities and all - but there's no other Composers here. Downtuning or not, he'd know, and since the majority of the population appear to be entirely witless he's certain no others are here. Good for his health, given turf and all, but...

His tone suddenly, at a beat, goes to almost sing-song with how cheerful it is.

....Say. Do you believe in parallel worlds?

Exactly what you're thinking. I'm surprised it hasn't struck you! It's not like my Tokyo means anything. Not really. Who knows? In this Tokyo, perhaps things are totally different. For example? The Tokyo Tower's way smaller than the one on my world.

One things for certain. Something happened in Minato, probably Odaiba. I've been looking for the science and tech building, since all of this is supposed to be digital technology related, but it's not here. Nor's anything which could be wherever all of this started.

Now that's an awkward question. It's not like anyone knows or anything - but the last count was over 100,000. The problem with our little city is that there's a lot of functioning homeless that live in internet cafes which aren't counted, if you're wondering. If you want to put that figure in perspective, the last count in 2007 of people living in Tokyo was 12,790,000.

It's not like Odaiba's known for being the centre of anything. Even when it was developed, it bombed because it's a battery island - and way too far out for commuters or businesses to operate efficiently.

[Aw, and there was he thinking she might notice something in that. Still.]

Long gone. Converted, probably. It's not like this world has different laws related to all that. "Energy cannot be created, or destroyed." Fascinating stuff, though again - not like it leads anywhere.

Like I know.

Try asking your ankle-height thing in the room with all the machines. Since, you know, they've got to have something to do with us actually making it all the way into whatever we were before we came here. ...Or whatever's the least bothersome for this lovely little world they've got here.
