Instead, it will pan over several rather detailed anatomical sketches of several Digimon- Gazimon and Tailmon, Greymon and Kimeramon, Devidramon and Damemon... It seems, after a while, like most of the Digimon inhabiting the city have been drawn here. Each of the sketches also has several notes attached, along the lines of 'strong bite' or 'heat ray from hands', or 'weak vision'.

So, since a certain fuckhead of a biologist dropped off the face of the Earth before he got me the information he was supposed to, I've been working on a project of my own. A Digimon encyclopedia of sorts, all known ones, their abilities and hopefully weaknesses if we know those, too. Spread the knowledge and give everyone a better chance to survive whatever bollocks shows up this time. Any information on Digimon capabilities would help, if you lot care to share it.

Though, I did notice something while I was doing these.

I get that Digimon are apparently spawned from the data from the internet. That explains why most of them appear to have recognizable forms rather than being completely alien to us, I think, something like Gazimon could have been given form by data on canine form and behavior. There's also a bunch of cat-looking ones, and since most of human output is total shit, I think that explains the Damemon as well.

But why the hell are most of the humanoid Digimon I've seen so far all women, and on top of that, they all look like that? Tits and bikinis, the lot of them. Even Lilimon is an inch of skirt away from showing the world if Digimon get underwear data or not. Where, exactly, is this Digital World getting its data on humans from? Why the fuck is it so skewed right towards knockers the size of my head and wearing less than a street corner hooker? Is this place just getting its data on humans from adult sites, or have I just been extremely unfortunate in my encounters so far?

To be honest... That sort of thing isn't really new for me. I mean it's not exactly the same but I don't know. It's pretty normal.

Just because things are hard doesn't mean you give up on them. These guys really do need our help. Though... It's not just the world that needs help, but our partners specifically need our help. Without that they are just as powerless as we feel we are right now. They wouldn't be able to do anything to stop their world from falling apart.

And I don't know about you, but after seeing my own world sucked into darkness once? I don't want to see that happen to theirs or have them have to see it for themselves.

Yes, I do. I hate this place and really think it needs to solve its own problems without bringing a thousand other people into it. It is absolutely retarded nonsense, bringing us here and calling us "Chosen" while taking away anything we could do to help, like it's intentionally being difficult.

But, being as that I'm trapped here for now, as much as I want it to be someone else's problem, it's my problem too. Being that frankly, there's not enough brainpower between the rest of you lot to remember to color inside the lines, either I work and solve this shit, or a lot of people lose their minds to a virus and/or die painfully, and that sort of thing is my job to prevent.

That's just it, though. Sometimes worlds just can't solve their problems on their own. It's not wrong to go for help in a bad situation when it's a person, right? Something bad's happened and you're supposed to turn to your friends or people you can trust - even if it's just to listen. But who can a world turn to? Seems kinda silly when you think of it like that.

And yeah, it's silly not to have all of our neat powers and stuff, but worlds have rules that can't be broken. That's just how it is. There's probably a good reason for it. I mean do you have any idea what it's like suddenly having a fish tail instead of legs and learning how to swim with it? Just because that's what the people of that world are like? Or looking spooky with fangs and a creepy costume because everyone in Halloween Town is a monster?

...Well that last one was kinda cool, gotta admit.

Rules can be broken. When the alternative is the cessation of existence for not only this world but a lot of others, the right option is to break the rules and get the problem solved.

Worlds don't need to turn to anyone. They have gods, angels, devils, and the like.

Well... I've been to worlds with gods. Hades is a huge jerk, for the record. Doesn't mean they could deal with the bad guys that came from a different world. Demyx did steal something pretty important from them, after all.

Don't think I've been to a world that has devils or angels, though. Maybe Pain and Panick, but I dunno if they count. Hard to say, since not all worlds have the same things in them.

But you telling me that the right options is to break the rules? Sometimes it's not so much what you're supposed to get done, but how you do it. What happens if someone gets hurt or places are wiped out just because you thought you were doing the "right option?"

Then you deal with it. It's all pretty when it's hypotheticals. How's this for a hypothetical? What if we all fail and all those worlds are destroyed, because the world thought following its stupid rules was "the right option"?

You make your choices and you deal with them.

Seriously, the shit I have to work with here is so goddamn basic I can barely even make proper painkillers, much less treat actual illnesses, and you know what our enemy is? A fucking virus. Why don't I go whip up a batch of antibiotic oh wait I fucking can't because this world doesn't let me use alchemy. So far the best uses for what does work here have been explosives and poisons.

Actually, no, it is significantly worse than nothing, as I am trained as a medic yet it has taken away everything I can do except cause horrific, indiscriminate damage, and then taken away my ability to do anything to help with the damage caused by that.

It's like two forces. Light kind of is the better parts of a person while darkness is the negative. Everyone has light and darkness in them. Some people give into the darkness and others just stick to the light.
