[Sonata talks a lot about being an idol- people might occasionally see her performing in the park, too, or hanging out at the karaoke bar. But for Sonata, being an idol isn't just singing and dancing in a short skirt, it's a lot more- for one, the final selection round of the auditions include a mock battle, not that the girls know that the fighting is all fake at first. Entertainment is banned throughout a lot of the galaxy, so the girls are taught combat in order to defend themselves and their fans while performing guerrilla lives on planets under the Ban.
That's not the only thing the network decides to show today, though. Although Sonata has plenty of happy memories of being in 0048, what the feed shows next is something... not as happy.]
[So what was that, exactly? Well, if anything, Sonata's pretty tough for her age.]

[Maybe if Yuuko was still here Cam could get an explanation, but for now, he gets brief flashes of three... happier memories of Sonata, instead.
The first seems to have taken place some years ago. A small group is gathered around a small fire in a barrel, while a younger Sonata, who can't possibly be any older than three or four, sits on her father's knee, while a slightly older girl, her sister, sings for the group, some of the others forming a makeshift band, using the other barrels as drums or some mimicking other instruments. When she's done, she goes over to their father, who pats her on the head, while Sonata claps.
The second is more recent. The girls are on the Flying Get, the stage ship they perform on, Sonata looking out the window at the snow. Although DES might be around (Tundrastar is fully under the Entertainment Ban, after all), Sonata still wants to build a snowman, having never seen snow before. When Nagisa thinks they should be fine, as they're only kenkyuusei, Sonata goes on ahead and rushes out of the ship, not even bothering to wait for permission. While Suzuko and Orine build a snowman, Sonata continues to go on ahead, before she faceplants in the snow. She's alright, though. (this memory goes until about 7:47)
The third... is a little longer, and a lot more colorful. Part of a celebratory performance on Atamistar for their hard work lately, it's also their first performance of Niji no Ressha, and the debut of their new kenkyuusei uniforms!]
