003- Happy (late) Birthday (video)

[The camera is aimed up at Shepard from about waist height, implying that Monodramon is pointing it at her. She's examining the contents of the fridge when her digimon starts singing. Incredibly poorly.]

Happy Birthday to You, Happy Birthday to--

[Shepard turns abruptly and glares at the camera.]

Cadet, turn that off! My birthday was yesterday!

[Monodramon grunts and takes a step back when his partner tries to take the device from him.]

But Commander, you're turning 36! The internet said humans--

I said turn it off!!

[AND OFF THE CAMERA GOES.]

::That's what Shep thinks. But it's a good thing. She's not used to being on her own.::

Yes, I have, though it's been a little tiring keeping up with Hyokomon. ::She tilts the D-terminal towards a sleeping... well, all curled up in his shell, Hyokomon almost looks like a broken eggshell.:: He has so much energy...

Ah, are you in the military? ::She'll have to remember that.::

Alliance? ::She sits up a little straighter at that.:: What alliance is that?

I don't remember brother mentioning anything about specific alliances... ::Pensive pensive.::

Oh, I see. I don't think we have any universal human government... Every country has its own, but we do have larger alliances of governments that try to enforce certain human rights standards or economic policies. Though not every country is a member of these groups... And they aren't always effective, because some nations kind of do their own thing anyways.

::Said with a slightly suffering sigh. Though she doesn't go to all the meetings, she goes to enough that she's already thinking of how America likes to interrupt with his grandiose plans to be the hero of this, that, or the other.::

::Who's that? Canada probably has it worse, really.

She hesitates a long moment before finally answering that.
::

I'm really... not sure. And no one else seems to be certain either, at least that I've been able to ask.

::This one's easy to answer. She smiles widely as she replies.::

Oh, usually I live in Bern with my big brother! Though sometimes we have to be in Vaduz. And before I lived with him I lived with my cousins in Berlin, sometimes Königsberg… and in Vienna before that. But I like Vaduz best.

::Look at that list of capitals. Though Königsberg hasn't been Könisberg since the 1940s.::
