22 Butterflies | Video (Possible Action)

[Sprout's face appears onscreen when the feed comes on, looking a bit confused.]

So uh...anyone else having this problem?

[The camera shifts to show Choco trying to calm down a rather frazzled Fluttershy...or at least one could assume it's Fluttershy. The yellow feathered wings are familiar, sure enough, but despite the human clothes, she clearly was not human at the moment. Her flowing tail, the same color as her hair, flicked anxiously as she paced on four hooves instead of two feet. She seemed to mutter an "Oh no..." with each turn, passing by Choco over and over as he tried to talk to her.]

C'mon, Fluttershy...it's nothing to worry about...

[The camera turns back to Sprout.] ...Little help?

((OOC: Can stay video, or can move to action. Most likely she'll be either in her apartment, or on the hospital roof.))

[Chris flinches at that reaction and now he's worried more. But at Sprout's whisper he's off like a shot, heading up for the roof. Nes moved to follow him automatically but Sylvia moved a paw and held him back, giving him a look. He glanced at her, then sighed and stared off in Chris's wake.

When he reached the door to the roof he paused, then slowly pushed it open and stepped out, looking around for her.]

Flutter...shy...?

[She jumps a little at his voice, turning to face him with wide, surprised eyes. Her ears flattened a little, and her outstretched wings made it look like she was ready to take off.

After a moment, however, she managed to calm herself down, her wings folding in as she glanced away.]

[He's a little conflicted over what to do next, so he stays standing by the door a moment. On the one hand, she's a skittish animal, and that he knows how to handle. On the other hand, she's an animal but she's one with rational thought, and his friend, and that... is a little more difficult.

This conflict eventually comes out as he moving a few steps forward, then stopping and drawing back, a hand running back through his hair and then resting behind his neck.]

You... uh. [His mind jump tracks onto the 'Haven't seen her in a while' one, causing him to stall briefly.]

Hi.

H...H-Hi...

[This was the first time since she they had talked in a while, and the first time actually meeting face to face since Christmas. And it wasn't exactly how she wanted it to be going.]

[They said hi to each other, that's one thing out of the way. Chris rubs his neck for a few moments, looking away uncertainly.]

[Hesitating for a moment, Fluttershy then takes a step back; not to run, but giving her enough room away from her Digimon to lean forward, catching her blouse with one hoof to remove it as she stood up again. She does the same with her skirt before removing the boots.

Once she's shaken off the remainder of her clothing, she fold her wings in, her tail still flicking a little anxiously.]

[He mutely watches this display, attempting a smile at the end of it.]

Feel any better...?

[She sighs, turning a little away from him; as she does, her cutie mark - three pink and cyan butterflies - comes into view.]

I...I don't know...I guess there's...really no point in hiding what I am...

[She doesn't sound too happy about it though.]

I guess not...

[He hesitates, watching her.]

For what it's worth, I'm glad I got the chance to see what... you're really like.

[She manages a smile at that, but it's faint and doesn't seem to make her feel too much better.]

It doesn't really change much...

No but... I've never been face-to-face with a real pegasus either. Not when they were actually in their pegasus shape, anyway.

[Her tail flicks again, and after a moment she stretches out her wings for the full pegasus effect.]

Honestly, there's not much to us. I'm...nothing special, really...

[A sigh trails off the end of the words, and the tone might be just a bit sadder than she wanted it to be.]

Of course you are! [He walked a little closer, holding his hands out slightly.]

The wings alone make you special. Horses back home don't have those, can't have those. And they don't have your colors either. You're very beautiful.

[Beat, clears throat.] For.. As a pega... In.. general.

[Her ears perk up in surprise, and she blushes a little.] Th...Th-Thank you...

You're... you're welcome.

[Folding her wings in again, she clears her throat, glancing away shyly.]

I-I'm...really not that...impressive though...I-I'm..not even that good a flier...Y-You should see Rainbow Dash...Sh-She's more what a pegasus should...be like...

Yeah but... the nice thing about a pegasus' mythological status, at least where I come from, is that there aren't any set rules over "what they're like."

So, you're just as much like what a pegasus oughta be like, to me, as any other one around here.

[She smiled a little, but didn't have anything to say. So she didn't, shyly looking anywhere else but at him.]

[He smiles a moment more before glancing away and sighing. His hands opened and closed and then he stepped forward, stopping again before he reached her.]

Listen... Fluttershy...

[Her ears perked up a little, and she had to keep herself from stepping back when he moved closer, suddenly a little nervous.]

Y...Y-Yes...?

[He hung back, even going so far as to move another half-step, wanting to keep her from getting uncomfortable.]

Y-you know, I've been doing a lot of thinking since... uh. Since Christmas.

Y...Y-Yes...?

[Her heart was racing, and part of her wondered if she even wanted to hear this.]

And the answer is, I... I um.

[He breathes in deeply, then holds it for a moment before exhaling his words.]

I don't know. [He's quick to wave his hands.] Not- not because of you, at all! I just... [His hand returns to anxiously rubbing the back of his neck.] There's a lot I have to figure about regarding other... circumstances.

[A faint throat clearing.] I'd still like to... spend time with you, though. And if s-something happens then... [He looked up and away with the slightest of half-shrugs.] I wouldn't be opposed... at all.

[She takes a shaky breath, her ears folding back as she looked away.]

I...I-I don't know, Chris...I...I want to...believe me I do...but...

Th...Th-That's what we said...before...after Christmas...? That...we were still going to spend time with each other...and...we'd still be friends...

But this is the first time we've seen each other since then, and...

[She closed her eyes, trying to stop the tears that were threatening.] I-I just...don't know what to do..

Yeah, but you gotta look at what's happened since then. It hasn't exactly been normal day-to-day business since Christmas.

[He shrugged.]
