[The camera cuts abruptly to a view from the roof of a building, giving a panorama over one of the bridges and the river of the city. How the D-Terminal's owner got up to such a height is unknown, but who it belong to becomes obvious when Armadillomon shuffles into view. He pokes his nose over the edge of the roof, looking a little green.]

I don't know why you had to carry me up here... Couldn't I have just waited on the ground where it's safe?

[Then there's a brief glimpse of Connor's hooded face as he sets the D-Terminal down, perching himself on the edge of the rooftop. Apparently the multi-story drop doesn't make him flinch in the least.]

There. [The camera is angled toward, in the distance, Tokyo's Statue of Liberty.] Look at the tablet she is holding. It has a date on it -- "4th July, 1776".

[This means nothing to Armadillomon, who is only looking more anxious.] All right, now you've seen it, can we get down?

Wait. [He places a hand on Armadillomon's shell, as if to soothe his nerves.] I wish to know the meaning of the other date. "14th July, 1789". [Now his attention is on the D-Terminal, which he glances down to.] Is anyone able to tell me? And why is such a statue in a place such as this? It should not belong in this world.

O-oh. Right. Why did you drag Armusuke all the way up there with ya?

If he is going to be my partner, he cannot remain afraid of heights forever.

If he's afraid of heights, then you can't just force him not to be! You're only going to make it worse!

I am not forcing him -- I am showing him there is little to fear.

For you, maybe. Not all of us can be crazy!

[The dead silence following that suggests Armadillomon is getting A Look from his parnter.]

Armusuke only has four legs! He doesn't have arms like you, he's not suited for climbin' really high! You should've started with somethin' easier if something stupid like heights really matters that much to you!

[Sorry, Connor, from where she stands it kind of looks like he's being cruel to an animal.]

[She can think as she pleases, but the way he sees it, given how much he does climb things it's better to get Armadillomon used to it. Better that than being forced to abandon him, especially if an emergency situation came up.

...Yes, his training methods are very tough love.]

I would never let him fall, if that is what concerns you.

[She is going to think what she likes. Hibiki has no problems with heights. Professional assassin training or whatever aside, she'd have no problem being the height Connor is at. She's done it for stunts before.

But forcing a partner...a family member to do it with him? That's unforgivable.]

You can't guarantee that, can you? Why don't you ask Armusuke? Does he really want to be up there, or would he rather start with somethin' less scary first?

W-well... [Armadillomon trails off nervously.]

If it is too much for you, as Hibiki suggests, you can remain on the ground next time.

But I don't want to be just a burden! I know you think I can't do much, but I'll prove I can! D-don't worry about me, Miss Hibiki...

I don't doubt ya can't do it, Armusuke, but wouldn't you rather build up to it? Ya shouldn't just force yourself to do somethin' like that. Trying too hard just means you're gonna hurt yourself!
