[Kaldur is wearing a new blue jacket he bought during all the parade festivities. His friendly demeanor that you may have grown accustomed to is replaced by a more serious one. This is Kaldur's game face. He has faced difficult odds before, though the circumstances were different, but he knows that now -- before the Beemon arrive -- is the best time to rally together and set about planning.]

As some of us anticipated, the reality of being here is more than just the parades and games we have experienced the past few days. While the welcoming from the Damemon and the Chosen before us was appreciated, it is now time to focus on the matter at hand. I will not repeat what Koushirou has already informed us of but I would like for us to spend these next two days devising a plan and perhaps forming groups that can work together and ensure everyone's safety during the imminent attack.

I know there are others here with experience in combat situations. We are limited in our resources and abilities, but that does not mean we can sit idly by and do nothing. We have been asked to help and I plan to give it as I have said I would. We were told when we arrived that we might have to face challenges like this as proposed Chosen. Why we were chosen and what it means is still left to be seen. However, I believe we can handle this first challenge, but only if we prepare and work together now as opposed to waiting for the attack to happen.

[Kaldur lets that sink in before continuing on.]

We must also consider our missing friends. Taichi may have wandered off, but I have noticed that others are gone as well. Are the two connected or is there something else at work here? We can only find out if we investigate what happened to Taichi. Koushirou and the chosen before us cannot handle this problem alone. I am not sure about the rest of you, but I would like to be with the group to go out and find Taichi. We should establish who is going and who is staying to protect the city. I ask those who are up to it to please step forward. If you do not feel that you can, there are other ways in which you can help and ensure that this attack does not end badly. That can be discussed as well. Either way, our best bet is to work together now and discuss strategy.

[That's probably the most Kaldur has ever said in one sitting. He bows his head as a sort of farewell. And then gestures behind him, it appears he is standing in front of the main Meeting Hall ]

I believe it would be prudent to put the meeting hall to use. We can set it up as a headquarters and since it is at the center of the city we can make it an easily defensible position for those unable to fight or who wish to stay safe. I do not expect everyone to fight, but if you are willing then we can find something for you to do. I am also open to thoughts from others. After all, I am new to this situation as well.

No. Front lines. I'll join your search for him. [That even gets Lopmon to look at her funny. Man, she wanted to fight and prove herself. Now she might not get that chance.]

It might be a long shot, but there's a chance that his disappearance and this incoming army could be related. If it's a case like that, finding this kid could help our standing against them.

[Not to mention she's seeing a lot of kids volunteering to look for him and... not enough adults to protect them all. Someone has to watch them.]

[Kaldur nods, he had considered that.]

It could very well be connected and this might be our chance to find out. Certainly the chances of it being a mere coincidence that the Beemon swarm shortly after Taichi goes missing in that Digital Field are low. I hope in that case that you are right.

No problem. Even if these guys are more intelligent than animals, they probably have instincts and some might be territorial. So it's possibility.

Are you going to be leading the group? [She'd prefer not to take orders from someone as young as him, but if she has to, she has to. At least he has a good head on his shoulders.]

That remains to be seen. A leader is typically chosen by a group that is willing to follow him or her. If someone wishes to take the position from me that is fine, but it should be someone that others will also feel comfortable following.

Based on responses to this, most seem comfortable with me for now, but I am willing to listen to those who may have more experience or better strategies. I know it may be difficult for some, but I assure you I have taken on the role of leader before and I am willing to do so again if that is what is required of me.

[Well, Kaldur, you've just won some points from Lightning.]

You seem to have a good head on your shoulders compared to some others. [Some others that she knows both here and back home.] I'm fine with it. It just helps to know who wants to take point.

It does. Questioning leadership midway is very counter productive. I have dealt with it before and it nearly cost us the mission.

[Lightning has been in that mind before, dealing with it in a sort of "my way or the highway" fashion or just doing her own thing.]

What did those missions involve? [Now she's curious. He'd be kind of young to enter any military, unless the enlisting age was lower or something.]

We were a covert team working under the command of our mentors. They would send us on missions that often required stealth and would not require the entire League's involvement.

The League? A law enforcement organization? [Grasping at the straws here, but the more she knows, the more she can judge Kaldur's experience.]

The Justice League. It is...something like that, yes. They are a group of powerful individuals that help the world during various crises. This includes disasters as well as fighting evil doers who would threaten people's lives.

[...It kind of sounds like something kids would read or be into. Especially the evil-doers part.]

Sounds convenient to have.

They are popular, but they also have many enemies. I am very proud to work with them though.

[Even though she would probably have issues with a world like his, she can tell that they're like idols to him.]

Very few people lack having enemies. They probably appreciate your help though.
