[A Tapirmon appears on screen. He is wearing a brown fedora that matches that of the adult sitting behind him. The adult (appearing in his late 20s) has teal hair and deep brown eyes that seem to be rather expressive. This is Perry and he looks a little nervous and continues to pull at the orange scarf around his neck, adjusting it. Tapirmon, meanwhile, looks like he's just been given very serious news and is troubled by it. He glances up at Perry once but shakes his head and looks to the screen. When the Tapirmon speaks it is with a British accent.]

Greetings friends. I am Bartholomew and this is Perry. My partner would like to apologize in advance for any hassle this may cause, but he is not able to communicate as most of us are used to. He has requested that I serve as a liaison when we are out and about the city, but that he will also likely be utilizing the texting function of the D-Terminal in order to communicate with others. He also wished for me to let you know that his sign language is a tad underdeveloped since this condition is actually a recent development.

Silent he may be, but Perry would like to assure everyone here that he is more than willing to provide assistance if it means that he can be returned to his proper home in a prompt manner. There are apparently two children that he likes to keep an eye on that may be placed in untold danger if he is not around to see to things.

[Tapirmon looks to Perry.]

Does that sound about all you wanted to say, sir?

[Perry gives the audience a thumbs up. He then gestures at the door.]

Oh! Yes. We reside in Room F2 - 009. Perry may not talk much but he has told me that he is a decent mechanic and can operate a plethora of machines if anyone is in need of that sort of assistance.

[Perry nods and tips his hat to the screen.]

Good day.

[Tapirmon ends the feed.]

[My goodness, that's an incredibly dapper Tapirmon. With such a wordy vocabulary to boot! Arcee stares at the screen, almost horrified, then gives a look at her own Tapirmon on the other side of her room who is...playing with a flashlight.

Then back to the feed.]

You've got to be kidding me.

[Words cannot express the internal screaming going on right now.]

[Perry and Tapirmon look at the screen.]

Joking about what exactly?

[Perry's having a hard time not smiling, probably at his own secret joke here.]

My Tapirthing's an idiot.

[Might as well be blunt about it. Sure, why not. She pinches the bridge of her nose in frustration.]

I can't believe this. Are you seriously telling me they're not all like that?

That seems rather harsh, miss. All of you humans act differently from one another. We digimon are much the same. We each have our own unique personality traits just as you do. Just because he and I are both Tapirmon does not mean that we are meant to act in exactly the same manner.

Surely you have noticed this with other digimon.

[Perry just shrugs and nods at Tapirmon's explanation.]

[Tapirmon can be heard laughing in the background.]

Haha, he got you!

Well, at least now I can't use his species as an excuse.

[...Which was really what helped her get over the fact that she got such a ridiculous partner. This isn't fair, she wants a Bartholomew.]

[Perry tries not to crack a smile at the other Tapirmon's laughter. He really does. He's not sure why he finds this so hilarious.]

I am certain your Tapirmon is a fine digimon regardless of what you might think.

[Tapirmon pride. And sorry, Bartholomew is currently already very attached to Perry...after all he gave him a fedora.]

[She stops to consider that for a moment. Actually, Bartholomew happens to be right. She doesn't hate Tapirmon, she'd just wish he was a little less, erm, goofy. But when it came to the important stuff, he was always on the ball.]

No, you're right. He's pretty great. Saved my aft a few times. I just can't get over this difference.

[Is it obvious by now that this is the first time she's seen another Tapirmon?]

Really. It's night and day.

[Perry shrugs. He just got here so he's not going to be much help there. But it's reassuring to know that even the goofy digimon can be helpful.

Tapirmon just nods.]

Then he's performed exceptionally. That is why we are here after all.
