I'd greatly prefer not to be here right now, but Kokuwamon has told me that I should formally introduce myself.

the explanation was kind of self explanatory, wasn't it?
i mean, it didn't seem all that complicated to me.
all of us get our partner digimon and digivice and it's up to us to help save the digital world.
pretty sure that's all it means dude.

But why?

It's not like it's my problem, even if my partner wants to protest otherwise.

Why bring in someone like me? I have nothing to gain from saving the world.

because you were chosen, duh.
it's like destiny or something.
a digi destiny.
maybe the digital world couldn't give a rats ass if you're a selfish bastard who needs to gain something in order to be motivated to save a world.
probably why they don't give us a choice in the matter, though it's not really their fault.
complaining about it really won't get you anywhere, so why not just go with it?

For a dying world, it certainly has a faulty way of choosing people.

I wouldn't mind so much, you see, but this whole destiny thing has left my daughter an orphan.

like digital time and real time being different.

but i'd double check with someone who's been here longer to be positive.
i can understand wanting to get back to your daughter, i left behind a lot of people that needed me too.
i waited three years to see my best friend for the first time and ended up here right when he arrived, so i'm kind of anxious to get back.
but if there's nothing we can do about it right now, and this world needs us, then why not just go with it?
complaining doesn't really get anyone anywhere.
it just makes you seem like an ass if they don't know your valid reasoning.
